if you have credit cards that display your actual FICO score (not the fake-o score you get from Credit Karma) this is probably a waste of money. My biggest complaint here is that the score "insights" are based on your actual credit report, not the information that is being presented to you via the service, so there is no way you can really make use of the "insights" without paying additional money to order additional reports. You get 1 free a year w the service, but u get that anyway.
Reviews for myFICO: FICO Credit Check
It's just "okay." Like many of the reviews share, it frequently has glitches and won't update. I've had to uninstall and reinstall repeatedly just to have current data. I find the accuracy leaving something to be desired; very much behind current reporting. If you are looking for specific, accurate info, go to the full website to get it.
Very helpful. If you're investigating mortgage rates, this is for you! Mortgage rates are based on you MORTGAGE score which is NOT your regular score... we us this app when negotiating rates. Total clarity and makes your bank/broker have to communicate with transparency too. Rates fluctuate daily... also why we love the app. We do the quarterly reports, and if you need to pull your credit, you get a discount on a complete 3 anyway... so we just order if we need a newer report. App always works.
I have had this App for two months. I am learning more about my credit in terms of what financial decisions are beneficial to my credit and what is not. I log on almost daily to educate myself. So far, my credit score has increased by 8 points by consolidating one account. I can't wait to see how much my score has increased this month! Great App and affordable!
A little expensive but does do its job keeping you up to date on any changes to your credit score. It will regularly give you updates on any changes (credit balances, accounts closed, etc.) and show you the impact on all of your scores. Because the scores are all different and based on changes in your accounts over time you'll get a better idea of how any credit transactions affect your score short and long term (buy a house, buy a car, hard credit pulls, new credit card, etc.)
Credit score app and scoring system is rigged. Thankful I have no debt. But if i use my credit card which I always pay off and the amount goes above 30% I get almost instantly get points deducted from my score but if I keep it below 30% it takes several months to regain the points. It is a rigged system that I'm glad that I am not in bondage to. It is just sad that they treat people that way. I can't see any future loans being approved with the way they treat my score.
Best credit site out there. Gotta get the paid version, but it's worth it. The auto and mortgage scores are well worth it if you're considering a major purchase. I would like a more dynamic scenario generator. It would be helpful if you could stack events pertaining to credit cards and different types of loans. Otherwise, great app. The scenario simulator was very helpful for me and has helped me with financial planning since I purchased the premium version.
I've had a subscription for several years only to have them suspiciously cancel my account for non-payment. I never received an e-mail or message within the app stating that my card could not be charged in spite of logging into the app several times a week. I e-mailed customer service and he can't explain why I never received notification. Their new plans have increased in price so this feels very much like a tactic to force me to purchase the higher subscription. They lost a lifetime customer!
It's a great app. I wish it updated daily or even weekly. I like how "Credit Karma" Updates often. $39 is a bit much. I say that because I had an account that was paid off in November, but they're just updating my account. Otherwise, it's a good app. I will be unsubscribing for a while after my February 2025 update. My Discover card has the same info for free as well as a few of my other credit cards.
I like this app only because it gives the score most lenders use. I don't like that it is proprietary and, for all intents and purposes, a monopoly. They pull your credit report once a month on the premium plan. They monitor for changes and only update your 3 main FICO 8 scores, with an estimate based on the changes, which is not as accurate as pulling and scoring your entire credit report. If the updates included all the scores, it might be worth what they charge. I can't fully recommend.
