This has been, hands down, the single most important app I've ever downloaded. I use it multiple times a day, won a songwriting contest over the radio, and have enough written material recorded to constitute an album. The customer support is always prompt and direct. Never dismissive. I love it!! If my simple butt can use it, anyone can. Thanks 1000× to the developers!! I love it!!
Reviews for n-Track Studio DAW: Make Music
← Back to n-Track Studio DAW: Make MusicThe only Android DAW I could figure out how to use. The layouts of others I've tried are astonishingly convoluted. Mid-level Android mobiles aren't very optimal platforms, and trying to lay more than 1 track is pretty impossible due to the 8-month long latency. MIDI trax do ok. The reason I had to delete it was because there's no way to escape the GUI. Once you open this, you're "trapped", and the only way to break out of being held hostage is to restart yr mobile. Not very classy on their part.
This app has soooo much potential!! Considering it's free, the features are really quite impressive. After downloading and testing several multi-track apps, I would HIGHLY recommend this one. There's only a slight hesitation keeping me from upgrading to the paid version. The controls can be tricky, clumsy, & confusing. The buttons aren't labeled or laid out in any discernable order. And because of this, the undo button is used to often, as well as on accident, without a quick way to redo.
Its a really great app!! The only issue is the tracks slowly drift out of sync on almost every recording. For example, say i record a drum track(acoustic drums) then add a bass over it, in the beginning its perfectly aligned but by the end the bass will come in about a second after the first beat of the drum track. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me? Also sometimes the drums will disappear randomly throughout the recording. Other than that this app is awesome!! Definitly reccommend it!
I am absolutely impressed by this app. At first I thought it would be more like GarageBand, but it's so much more. Nothing feels canned. The user interface is clean and well organized. Something I wish other DAWs (Digital Audio Workstation - You will see this acronym used everywhere) would spend a bit more time on. I've forked out a stupid amount of money in software, hardware, instruments, sample libraries, and finding other producers to work.
WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$. Purchased the pro version in 2017 for the $29.99 price and got a new phone between then and now, reinstalled it and it now wants me to pay $29.99 again for the updated version. Emailed the developer thinking maybe a technical error, Nope. They want to charge you full price every time the app updates. Just like with anything else when they come out with the newer version the old one is obsolete and useless. App itself was great, customer service... not so much.
Very decent mobile DAW. My suggestion so far would be to add the basic features for using a mouse as if you were using a Laptop or desktop. For example, dragging the audio file, 2. Enable the cursor to snap to the grid for easier copying and pasting. Other than that very impressive app. I'm looking forward to buying the PRO version if this adjustments can be made. Thumbs up imo 👍🏾 Thank you for your response. 5 stars now
Damn you! This is by far the easiest daw I've tried for android. Yet has a ton of features even on the free version. No forced full page ads, just pesky reminders to upgrade I was bit put off by having to purchase certain features such as SAVE. But here's where you guys win. Despite having to purchase certain features, your prices are reasonable and I do appreciate no full page ads or goofy schemes of having to watch videos to unlock stuff. You got us good. This is the best so damn you!
Not even a little intuitive. Even after the tutorial. Messed with any vocal recordings I had, has a weird clicking effect with those? Sounds different with and without headphones. Trying to record on top of other added sounds is nigh impossible. Maybe it's just because I'm not fully understanding what I'm doing, but for being so boasted for its accessibility I'm not finding much.
Amazing. I am 100% amazed that I can do so much - and I'm still using the FREE VERSION! When I first started recording with a Tascam 25 years ago it had zero effects on analog tape and every "layer" or track muffled the first one a bit. Especially when you'd need to dump 4 tracks down to one and add more. This is LEGIONS more powerful. A bit tricky to learn, but if something is worth it, it usually is!
Love. Takes some getting use to. I believe it's worth it. The only thing is I wish it had more not so engineers presets available for the average person to use. Also I think it would make the work flow experience way better if the click and grab drag options where easier to control. Like the zooming in and out is cool but not to precise. Difficult to use unless you are an advanced user. Or a trained engineer. Thank you guys. One click presets would be nice, plug-ins too please
This DAW is very complicated to use, it takes me almost 10 minutes to bind, cut, and move tracks. and the most stupidest thing ever... Whenever you wanted to get rid of the track that you have imported, It will delete the track, and also THE ACTUAL SOUND FILE ITSELF!.... it's not a great idea if you wanted to have this sound file for the near future... But on the bright side... The Sequencer is very accurate, but it takes sometime getting used to
-is there a way to multi copy & paste multiple tracks at the same time? There needs to be a mult select tool. I don't see one . -thank god there's a pirated version floating around out there. I would have never figured any of this out due to the price is too high & the limited functions render it near impossible to use. Once I got a 90% functioning version. It is a good app. Sounds amazing, & I will buy full version soon. Drums easy to program, recording sounds great. Just needs a few more tools
I had high hopes for this app when I installed it, and while it has all the right sounds, the actual software seems like it was not developed very well. When I try working on a song, it isn't recording what I play, but instead adding random notes I didnt touch and completly displacing the notes. I even tried clearing it and starting a new song, but the same thing happened. Great potential, but it needs work.
It's the perfect app when I'm actually in the app, but I wanted to use my song as a backing track for a video and when I saved the song and exported it to mp3 (after paying for a months subscription) I closed out of the app to find the mp3 and it was not saved as an audio file onto my phone. When I went back into the app all of my audio tracks were deleted and that kinda sucks because I put a lot of time into it. It has really nice audio for a free app and makes it easy to layer your voice, but maybe I'm just not understanding: how do I get my music onto my device?
Great recording, so easy to use, and has a plethora of basic effects to really enhance your simple recordings. With Bluetooth headphones, the latency was terrible no matter what I tried. As soon as I switched to a cheapo wired pair of earbuds, the latency was gone. For a free app, it's amazing. Makes mixing multiple tracks so quick. With limited knowledge of DAWs you can easily enhance your songs compared to a simple recording app. Highly recommended!
I like the editing features, how its designed, but i cannot rate above 3 stars due to not being able to save as mp3 with out voice stamping applied. Thats just stupid. I can understand need to purchase premium features (more editing tools) but not being able to save the track freely, is bull. I know of no other audio editing app that does this. So no.. not worth paying for if being pushed for premium that hard.
This was the very first DAW I ever downloaded back in high school, over 20 years ago! With DAWN'S like Pro Tools and Ableton sarurating the market, I honestly didn't think it would still be around. When I discovered that not only was it still around but available as a mobile app, it felt like reconnecting with a long-lost best friend you hadn't seen in decades. The only thing left to do is import all my files from Ableton Live. I'm hoping the files will be compatible. Fingers crossed.
I went through a lot of DAWs. I tried Reaper, ProTools, FL, Ableton etc. For PC and for Android. As a classical composer, a songwriter and someone who just likes to make all kinds of different music I found n-track to be by far the best designed ui/ux of any of them by a long shot. I don't want my DAW getting in the way of my process. I only wish they had more plugins for things like notation. Regardless, a huge bravo and a relief to find!
It's now 2 years later. I'm back to check this app out to see if it's improved at all and I see that it requires a subscription, like everything else nowadays. Who wants to pay a subscription for everything that you want to do? Especially for a mobile recording program on your phone. I am more than willing to pay for this product, but not for a subscription. Subscription fees are taken over and no one likes it. This can't compete with cubasis 3 while requiring a subscription...sorry!
