So here's my take on Newslaundry. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one stands out for being truly independent and ad-free. The content is super high quality, with great reporting, analysis, and unique formats like podcasts and animations. And i like that they're not beholden to advertisers or the government, so you're getting unbiased journalism. The app could use some polish, but it gets the job done. If you value trustworthy, critical news coverage, Newslaundry is a solid choice.

Description

I’ve been using Newslaundry for a couple months now. It’s basically an independent news app that does media critique, reporting, podcasts, and all kinds of stuff. Pretty solid if you’re into current affairs and want something different from the mainstream news.

Here’s what you can do – there’s the main news feed where you get the latest stories, but you can also dive into specific topics like politics, tech, or culture. And they’ve got podcasts too, which I’ve been listening to on my commute. And the documentaries and animations are a nice change of pace from just reading articles.

Look, if you’re tired of the same old corporate-controlled news, you’ll probably like Newslaundry. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little buggy sometimes – but overall it does the job of giving you quality, independent journalism. Worth checking out for sure.
