So here's my take on NJ.com. I've tested a bunch of local news apps and this one's pretty solid. The coverage is really comprehensive - they've got reporters on the ground in communities all over the state, so you're getting that hyperlocal perspective. The app design is clean and intuitive too, no clunky menus or anything. On the downside, the free version can get a bit ad-heavy at times, and the paywall for premium content is a bit steep in my opinion. But if you want to stay super plugged into what's happening in your area, NJ.com is definitely worth a look.

Description

Been using NJ.com for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that covers stories and events happening right in your own backyard. Pretty solid if you’re into staying on top of local happenings.

Here’s what you can do – you can read the latest news, follow sports, check out business and politics updates, and more. And there’s also a section for events and culture, which is pretty cool. And the app’s got a nice clean design, didn’t take me long to figure it all out.

Look, if you want to stay connected to your community and know what’s going on, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – there are occasional ads that can get a bit annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you live in New Jersey.
