Redeeming rewards through the app is a scam. The way you have to order through the app makes it impossible to redeem your points for an entree. For example, I tried to redeem my "free" small birthday, and it discounted the price for a small portion, but it still charged me for the meat that already comes with the dish. Not extra meat, the meat that comes with it. The same thing happens with rewards points redemption. It's false advertising and extremely deceptive for no reason.
Reviews for Noodles & Company
← Back to Noodles & CompanyThe app itself works well, 5 stars for that. But, the backend ruins the experience. If you're ordering ahead to pickup, it's perfect. If you're trying to get delivery - don't. After several hours I called to see where my order was. The guy at the store was great and he told me that the app uses Postmates for delivery and the drivers rarely show up to pick up orders. He recommended ordering thru Doordash for delivery. So, Noodles management, pick a new delivery service because this isn't good.
Redeeming the points is hard through the app. My points magically disappeared after I closed the app without ordering. The store manager collected my phone number and email ID and promised that someone would reach out to me. It has been a week and no one from the company has reached out to me yet. The new rewards program is crappy and unfair. A single regular entree redemption requires 1100 points!! The previous rewards program with its spontaneous coupons made it exciting for customers.
UPDATED: I logged in the noodles through desktop version first time and found the redemption was updated which is different than the information on the mobile app. Reward option for order is not alway working, and my points were not updated. Whenever clicking the confirmation button from redemption of the point, there were error messages such as HTTP 400, and the reward points earned from paid orders were not appeared. I was never able to use my points, and the points will be expired soon.
This app has gotten a little better. But, if you do anything to customize a meal with subs it doesn't work for adding up your total. Coupons also can't be entered, the promo codes don't work. Employees are rude and annoyed when I've picked up Web (app) orders. I wish they would invest full on in restaurant technology or just give up. Update: notifications turned off in app but still pushes them, uinstalling.
I opened the app before heading to lunch and was forced into an update. After it loaded, the app didn't recognize my email. Other folks say they were prompted to update their passwords, but I didn't get that -- just a screen to log in or join. I even tried "forgot password" and the app said my email didn't exist (despite my being a member before and getting the emails). The clerk found my account at the store by phone number lookup, but she said a lot of people were having trouble with the app.
It's a very user friendly app compared to others created for food ordering. I reserve 5 stars for really amazing, so it didn't "lose" a star for a problem. One suggestion, a "build your own" bowl option. The customize options are quite flexible, but it would still be nice to start from the noodles up instead of changing a ton of things. Sometimes i miss and end up with mushrooms in my food! Yuck! Lol.
Janky payment system. I select my items, and enter payment info, but it feels like a roll of the dice regarding whether it not the "pay now* button actually appears after entering my credit card. I'm not sure exactly what is going on behind the scenes, but I would expect to actually be able to pay for, and place my orders, since the app requires you to pay before completing your order...
Update 3: the rewards system leaves a lot to be desired. I've lost over a 1000 points and have no idea when they expired. No notice given and the app doesn't provide that information. Another issue is that you earn the points but you can only use predetermined amounts. So if you have 800 points to use you can only pick ONE item from their selection (for example, something worth 350 points). Pretty lame, should be able to use the points any way you want, and all of them at one time if you want.
App fine, install is painful. I used it to place my first order and the experience went smoothly. However, the install was crazy, specifically the calendar for birthdate. I just had to scroll 645 months to get to my birthdate. REALLY? You can't make the current date editable so users can jump straight to the right year, month, and day??!! God helpb those older than me!
Love the store... the past several months the app has not worked. At first it would only let me order at one store, and today I started by getting an order as I attempted to pay, then when I retried to order at 3 different locations it wouldn't even take me to checkout. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app...nothing. Since this has been an ongoing issue for so long, I am giving it 1 star, but will change if it ever gets fixed.
I love how you can order online now, but there are a couple of things i don't like. 1) when I want to put a note about an allergy, it only allows you to put like 15 characters, that's not enough. And 2) the menu is kind of confusing to navigate. Like I click on the word "classic noodles" but it takes me to another place. But other than that it's a pretty solid app.
Works okay as a fast food ordering app. EXTREMELY bad at clarifying if you are ordering for pickup or delivery. I have lost several orders because I thought I was ordering delivery when I was actually ordering pickup. Some options also change it to pickup even if you chose delivery, so even knowing that might not help. There is also no way to contact the restaurant or even support via the app, so if that happens I guess you should just accept you lost money.
App is hostile to the user: Doesn't show the price of an item next to the item, Rewards deals have misleading language, saying things like "free entree", but the entree's costs are calculated in such a way that only half of it is free (the exact amount is not shown until paying for the order). Constantly pops up with prompts to add random items to your order. Also overall very inconvenient process to select or compare which discounts to apply. Worst restaurant app I've used.
I love using the app to order ahead when it actually works. Not all noodles allow the "order ahead" function...not sure how it can be disabled sometimes for certain stores. I wish there was a button for "light butter." I typically free text but seems the workers still miss it. Another button for a side of "sriracha" hot sauce would be great cause I love some heat in my dish. It sucks that you can't stack coupons when I have tons of points to use.
POINTS EARNED EXPIRE ! Points should NEVER expire !!!!! There's no incentive to purchase from Noodles if my EARNED points EXPIRE !!!!! Why is it so hard , and take so many steps, just to view the menu ?! That should be the first button anyone sees when using the app ! That would help people decide what to order ! The last pesto cavatapi I had was disappointing , bordering on disgusting ! Did you change the ingredients ?
The app is simple, definitely had a whole lot of change the last few years but I think it's good right now. I hope it stays, granted it is asking on a day im feeling good. I guess that'd be the highlight and what I expect. Don't make it difficult, don't make a mountain out of a molehill. It does that, and the menu is better; honestly my only real complaint is I wish there was more in app incentive. A points reward system, or like what panda Express does; size upgrade free, not the food
I enjoy ordering with the apps if I could. This one, on the other hand, states a payment option has not been selected but does not offer any way to select one. I tried several times logging in and out with each time putting in a verification code. I can not find, any where, in which I could make my debit card as primary method of payment. Only reason you got a 2 star is because everything else works just fine except payment option
the food is great but don't use the app! there's no customer service so heaven forbid there's an issue. I've ordered food before and then get to a store and its closed during working hours. couldn't get a refund. And if you apply your points to an order and accidentally close out of the app it'll take all your points and won't give you item you've redeemed. Again NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! you can email but they don't respond. I'm about to stop eating here.
Food is delicious but they recently changed the app for the worse. I can no longer order what I always order through the app, or over the phone. All I want is extra noodles in my Mac n cheese, and this used to be possible until they changed the app. It defeats the purpose of me visiting this place. I like placing pickup orders, so I can pick it up after grocery shopping so my frozen/cold food doesn't get hot. I'll probably stop going now.
