I have enjoyed this program very much. All of a sudden it stopped playing in the middle of Gunsmoke. I tried several things to get it running but no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled (.99) didn't do any good. Ideas?

I love listening to old radio classics. I especially love listening to The Shadow. I have been using the Old Time Radio Player for Years now. I have never had any problems. I love listening to the old radio shows! Make the Old Time Radio Player Android Auto compatible

Multiple years of using this and now it's starting to show its age. App stops working about 20 seconds into a show and i need to restart the show to get it to play. Happens about 75% of the time. I have the app set to not be battery optimized.

I've had this app since 2016 and have enjoyed it so much! The only problem is here lately, the episodes won't play continuously even though the settings are set to that. Please fix this, as I use this to sleep by. Other than that, this app is just perfect!

Great. But desperately need a 'cast' feature to cast the audio to a Bluetooth speaker.. please. Awesome stuff though, would also be good to add just a regular 30's ish style music radio to it.

This is a great app. Easy to use with a lot of my favorite radio dramas. I can listen to them anywhere and download episodes I really like. I've introduced many of my grandmother's senior friends who have smartphones and they love it.

Ok so far, must adjust settings! Turn off battery optimization and make sure your permissions are set to all access! This will allow continued play and storage of played shows so you can listen off line for up to fifty episodes! GOLDEN Age of radio app by sudzdev preciously for over 5 years until its failings of not being monitored or upgraded during COVID. APP MISSING FIBER MCGEE AND MOLLY SHOWS FROM 1946 TO 1957 and Some other comedy shows like JACK BENNY are missing shows also in same period

Perfect way to spend your time, whether on those long drives or just to relax at home. Paid version is great, but have waited 5 years for a widget too. Needs a widget for the homescreen.

So frustrated! Love to listen to this app, but why doesn't it play in the background anymore?? I used to have it playing while I played a game on my phone, but now it keeps stopping. My Word Search game is boring without something playing in the background and it used to work just fine. Please fix. 🙏

Love listening to these stories. takes me back to an era that I wasn't even a part of but can just imagine, have had this app for more than 6 years n keeps getting better. Highly recommend especially if u do allot of driving, helps pass time

A 5 star app if it had just one improvement, or maybe it is my device? It seems like every time I turn the screen off moments later the stream will end. Just like, say, turning the screen off during a YouTube video. I don't actually recall having this issue in the past as I've had this app for several years now (Although it's been awhile since I used it.). I highly reccomend this app as it has some recordings the Golden Age app lacks (many actually). Just wish I could turn my screen off!

Awesome update! The app is working better than ever now! I can now delete my other Old time Radio app. Since I can't stand today's excuse for entertainment, these golden oldies are the reminder of how great radio and early TV really were. Those days are gone, not to return. Hollyweird puts out nothing but garbage, usually a flopping remake of a great classic, making sure to check all the politically correct boxes. Dragnet made a seamless move to TV and broadcast on both. Jack Webb is a treasure!

I gave it a 4 because I enjoy the shows. But it deserves a 2 because there are still ads and the sound quality is terrible in both apps. I have downloaded the free version and paid for the ad free version. Listen to both and both have the exact bad sound in same episodes. The developer(s) should be ashamed of themselves for taking money on an obvious lie. Do you think we the consumer are stupid? Did you think no one would take the time to figure it out? So my suggestion to everyone do not pay.

I have been listening to this radio shows for at least 3 years love the app it's a must for long trips my only complain is that I know many shows are cut short when I have researched and there are more episodes than the ones they show for example lux mercury theater only has the 1943 shows, they should add more. Still am still enjoying what they offer love this even better than movies.

I normally listen to this app for at least an hour or more every single day. I used to love this app but now it's become very annoying. It doesn't advance to the next episode in the series automatically, you have to go in and manually select it now which isn't convenient when you're driving your car or you have silky hands from washing dishes. I wouldn't recommend buying this app until it's been fixed because you will find it more of a nuisance than it's worth.

So a few weeks ago I sent an email to your developer regarding fact that quite some time ago I purchased the adds free version of Old Time Radio. It seemed to work well for quite some time but now for some reason it will no longer play episodes one after another. Even though I picked the option it will only play one episode and then shuts off. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and made sure that I set the option to play episodes in sequence over and over but it still doesn't work

I hate to rate this so low because I have had the app for years. Lately though, it has stopped working altogether. It will just say connection failed. I know it isn't my internet because all other apps work fine. I've emailed the developer, deleted and reinstalled several, and even bought the paid version to see if it would help. Nothing doing! I've uninstalled for the last time, but I am so disappointed because this was a favorite app of mine for years! Please fix it!!

I've used this app extensively for the last couple of years, and aside for some intermittent glitches, it's provided an outstanding platform to listen to vast numbers of archived online old time radio shows However, for the last week, this app simply will not access shows and or episodes that have not previously been downloaded to the device. When attempting to download new shows, it merely gives a "connection failed" message. Downloading the app on another phone yields the same results.

Glad to see it back. I have a ton of OTR recordings; I have always been obsessed with the special genre, so I bought the ad-free version of this app. I was not happy to see it missing from the Play Store for a long while. If anything happened to my lounge, I would have lost the app, but it appears to be back and rebranded. As long as my ad-free version keeps working, I will be happy. I just wish it still had the ability to extract downloaded episodes like I used to be able to do.

This is such a great and easy way to access thousands of old time radio shows. If you wanted to you could configure it to keep randomly selecting shows and never stop. You can download episodes to save yourself your data plan or just steam as you go along. One feature that I couldn't find that would be great is a sleep timer. I start a show when I go to bed and don't really want it to play all night.
