Great app, it's a blessing daily! Swipe left for insights and again for comments. The "You've read x days in a row" pop up is nice but will reset if you don't open the app until after midnight, or if you reinstall the app. It also reset on me once for no apparent reason, maybe an auto update. I'm not deducting a star for that, but it would be nice if that feature were tied to the account and not the app itself, or if it could be turned off.

Good devotional app, which works well, but after latest update, will not save reading choices, in terms of letter size, background color, etc. I had the previous version set to my taste, but this one just reverts to standard settings, when you exit...very annoying. 8-25-21: app is completely frozen, will not open at all, have uninstalled and re-downloaded 3 times, to no avail.

After using this app for years, it suddenly stopped working/would not open and would not update. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still won't open. I'm very disappointed to have lost all the devotionals I had bookmarked. Please don't bother to reply with an automated scripted answer. I'll check back periodically to see if it's working again.

This app has been really good, but in the most-recent update the Bible translations are extremely limited. It's quite annoying to have to open YouVersion to read the translation I normally read and juggle two apps to do something that was previously possible in one app. The floating "share" icon is also distracting. I'm going back to using an older version.

I like being able to read or listen to daily devotionals and seems to work well generally. My primary criticism would be that this is likely the largest memory use app on my phone. Most of my apps are a small small fraction of this size. While phones are increasing storage on the phone, we are lucky that almost nothing else uses this much space. I'd suggest some redevelopment to make more efficient use of space. Some people with older phones may not be able to spare this much space.

Ive had this app on every smart phone I've ever had and I have NEVER had any issues until lately.. sometimes the playback doesn't work, and it's gotten so that everytime I open this app, it freezes up and freezes up my phone (galaxy s9).. i really don't want to have to delete this app. bcuz I love it. plz help!

Share button not working on my OnePlus 7 Pro. It used to work. Now it doesn't work even on my Galaxy Note 10. I click on any image and it just gets highlighted but nothing happens. It does prompt to pick an app to open an image with. It doesn't allow me to download anything even for later reading. This app used to work seamlessly. Now it's clunky and broken! Any reader out there who can recommend a better app? Update: I removed and reinstalled, the problem did not go away. Sharing still broken.

Previous users have reported what I've experienced: freezing up, etc. All have received a stock reply to send a detailed explanation of the problems they have had with the latest update. I don't have anything more to add except fix it or restore the previous version. I'm uninstalling & going back to the paper version. Best wishes,

I have used and loved this app daily for over a year. It updated overnight, and suddenly, it started crashing every time I tried to open it. I Uninstaller and reinstalled it, and now it wants me to log in or create an account. I tried logging in with Facebook, and it fails every time. I guess I will have to get my daily start with God somewhere else.

Normally love app. Use it for daily devotions. Lately been giving errors when I shut down. This morning when I tapped one of the daily verses to read where it sends you to the bible website it gave me what seemed like a viral response. A pop up came up telling me I won some kind of contest and I couldn't get out of it. Had to uninstall. I don't think it was the app as much as maybe the link in the app. Hope phone didn't get a virus from it. Just reinstalled. Wouldn't open. Immediately crashed.

I was looking forward to using this app. Today was my first time using it and started a journal that disappeared and unable to retrieve it. I tried to redo my journal and start over but now unable to add a new journal. There is no help feature except to send an email or add my review. So far, not happy with it. I will un-install soon if there is no response for fixes.

I've been using the app for over 8 years. When I switched phones last year, I lost my consecutive days streak, but that was a minor annoyance. I updated yesterday to the February 25, 2021 version 3.4.1. Now, it won't open. Starts to open, stalls, and crashes. Edit: Devs reached out with the solution quickly. Uninstall, then reinstall. Working great now. My bad for not updating my review earlier; it's been a month now.

This is a must have on any device in my home. I'm relatively new to The Daily Bread , but have had a few other apps before this and none of them compare. The Daily Bread is not only easy to use, it gives you options of audiobook, and extensions of the daily reading. The readings are short and to the point which is great for working parents for people with limited time. If you miss a day or more David daily reading it is easy to find what you missed and quickly catch up. I highly recommend this.

I really like the app. There are some things I wish were better. Like, to read the full Bible verse for each day, it links you to an outside page. I wish the full verses were integrated in the app. The main reason I had to take away stars though was that it takes FOREVER to load to the point where I've gone without reading some nights because it just never finished loading after many minutes even though everything else om my phone loads fine.

After the update, I can no longer access the daily devotion nor the reading plans and can only access one of my bookmarks. You guys definitely broke something and haven't fixed it yet. It was great before. Now I'm forced to use another app because I literally can't access yours. Please fix or return to previous until you figure out how to update it without breaking other things.

I remember getting the monthly booklet of Our Daily Bread from my church. The app is inspirational just like the book and offers much more. I really like the evening meditations too. The only issue with the app is I am automatically signed out and when I sign back in I have lost my current streak. I wish their was a way to keep accurate count of my daily readings.

App is shaky at best! I still enjoy reading it daily but I do not like having to re-login over and over every time there's an update! I created a login so that I can keep up with my bookmarks/favorites. And the problem is it doesn't tell you you've been logged out. I have to be mindful of when it says Good morning at the top and my name is nowhere to be found. It's frustrating....Smh.

I have been using this app for years. Never written a review before but today require one. Use this app every morning first thing and this morning would not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled only to have difficulty in signing in, all my bookmarks and journal entries over the years are completely lost. The format has changed. It is upsetting that all my go to notes are gone. Also bring back signing in as a guest. I want to say maybe that was how I saved all my bookmarks. Very sad.

This app has always been such a godsend, I just wished my bookmarks weren't erased. I loved going back to the ones I bookmarked a year ago to see how much life has changed. And the previous format was easier to digest the information without it feeling like I was on my browser. If the paperback ones are avaliable, I think I'll look into those. Update: Thank you for your reply and I'm glad to know the physical copies are still avaliable. Can't wait to check them out soon!

I'm so glad I'm able to view the app again. It kept crashing, I'm assuming from the new appearance because of an update. It works great now. Only woe is that I had to go back and re-bookmark all my favorite lessons, as it does not save them even though I used my FB account. Glad to have it back up and running! EDIT: my one issue is that a reminder does NOT come up every day, even though I have set it to do reminders every morning a 8am. Can someone fix this??
