So here's my honest take on Overcoming pain based on EMDR. I've tested a bunch of health and wellness apps, and this one's a pretty solid option if you're looking to try EMDR for pain management. The guided audio exercises seem to be helpful, and I like that you can track your progress in the pain journal. It's not a miracle cure, but it's a nice complement to other treatments. The only real downside is the occasional technical issues, but the dev seems responsive to user feedback.

Description

I’ve been using Overcoming pain based on EMDR for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that uses this therapy technique called EMDR to help you deal with chronic pain and stress. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: there are these playlists with guided audio exercises that are supposed to help retrain your brain’s response to pain. There’s also a pain journal where you can track your progress, which is pretty cool. And the app gives you tips and info on using EMDR – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re dealing with chronic pain or just a lot of stress, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can get a little glitchy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to try a different approach to managing your pain.
