The constant "connection lost" alerts when not in the same room as the base station are infuriating. The range is supposedly 100 feet but I can't get more than 10 feet away without the constant alerts sounding on you my phone, my husbands, and the base. Not quite the environment you want at 3am trying to feed and go back to sleep. Sure you can toggle off the base, but who remembers to do that at 3am? Also our feeds take more than 20 min so we are just placating the issues.

It has one job and cannot do it. Avoid at all costs. We are literally trusting this app with our baby and it can't manage to keep a constant connection with the camera? Almost every night it says the connection is lost, why does it not reconnect on its own? Literally I have to tap retry and it comes right back, so why is it not retrying on its own? This is an actual safety hazard, if you bought this camera return it immediately.

They never got to the bottom of my issue. Still tired of all the A/B testing on this app. My partner and I run the same version of Android and app on our phones but our app interfaces look completely different. Somehow, I always get the worst iteration of the Owlet app, which is pretty inconvenient seeing as I'm our baby's primary caregiver. It's making this feel like a huge waste of money.

The actual functionality of this app is near 0. So frustrating. Constantly having to relaunch to get the picture back up, sometimes multiple times. The picture in picture mode is completely non-functional. It either freezes or blacks out, both are obviously useless. But we bought the damn thing so we'll keep using it I guess🙃🤪

The cam2 motion sensing doesn't seem to work very well. I've had it set to high sensitivity and with notifications every minute for a while, but I've watched my lil man crawl across his bed with no notification MANY times. Also, the cam2 video quality could use improvement. Our cam2 is located about a foot above his bed and the video is typically slightly blurred, especially when zooming in. The sock functions well other than my lil man being awake and the app says he's still asleep.

When the app is logged in and actively open on the phone, the camera and sock work alright, but this is only if the initial two conditions are met. I have to enter my login credentials every time I reopen the app after closing it. Additionally, I only ever receive notifications when the app is actively open and the display on, on my phone. these two issue defeats the entire purpose of having this monitor. We may have to look for a different monitor that actually works properly.

This device helped my anxiety as a new mom so much. What has prevented me from giving it 5 stars is that I purchased the extension pack so I could use it into toddler years. We have a need for this because we monitor his oxygen and heart rate when he gets sick. I was told that we could anticipate the app allowing a setting to continue on as his vitals change over 18 months. It is really frustrating that we purchased the extension for nothing.

Terrible app makes this $300 system almost useless. The app constantly logs you out, therefore making it impossible to get any notifications of your baby crying or any notifications from the sock on the app. Also, sometimes when you do log in, the camera won't load and the only way to get it to work is to force stop the app and start it again. I'm using the app on a Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 for reference.

Alerts during diaper changes or initial setup are infuriating and very common. Silencing with the base station doesn't last long enough at all and disabling through the app takes forever and is only temporary. When we lost power we had to listen to it alert over and over until the backup battery finally died. This could be a useful device if it wasn't so frustrating to use.

good when it works. frequent, >65% connection issues. the best they offer for resolution is restart it and all your network parts, but honestly, that's as effective as stopping the app and reopening it, in that neither reliably allows connection. the base is a good backup as it can alert you too, but only if you're in the same room and can hear that. The network features for the cam and sock are nearly non-functional, which was a primary selling point over the old school walkie talkie monitors.

Not long ago, it was a great product, but the latest software update has been horrible. False alarms when the baby wiggles, usually when we're feeding her. So we turn it off to feed, and it'll re-enable itself, and then start alerting. Lately, we have had to unplug the base until we're ready to leave her sleeping, otherwise it'll just wake the baby right when we're trying to put her down. edit: updating my review to go down to one star, it's been an abysmal product since the update

ot helped my anxiety a lot. really small babies I think get more false alarms because it's hard to fit their feet. we are 10 months in and still use it. though it doesn't catch some wake ups and the history sometimes take a few hours to load to looking at the previous night sometimes is harder in the app. you need a 2.4ghz network. I had to make one with my router. This makes it hard to get it to work elsewhere. I couldn't connect to hotels. I would do again if I have another.

Gor a $300 product I expect the app to work, the range to allow me to take the baby to the next room for a minute without the base station waking up the house, and access to the same info from the original owlet app without having to pay an additional $100+ for a full access account. $300 isn't enough to get that? We loved our original dream sock. We recommended it to EVERYONE we knew was expecting. Even bought a few as gifts for close friends. However, this will no longer be a gift we consider.

It's not possible to describe how impactful the sock has been on our lives. This is literally purchasing peace of mind. Unfortunately the range is limited which leads to deciding if you want to hear an alert go off every minute or have your child continuously monitored. We've had issues with connecting to the camera and often have to reset the app to have the vitals show up. Sometimes I'll wake up in the night and the vitals won't be shown at all. I've learned that this happens frequently.

Its amazing and has helped my wife and I's anxiety so much. Things to improve: 1. The base station range is way to small. having to move the base every time you move to a different room is a hassle. How to fix: Make a easy wireless signal booster/relay that you can pair with the home base. Like a wifi-extender. 2. Sell small screens that show the vitals, id buy a few just to put them around my house. So I don't have to carry my phone around everywhere.

The sock works great but the camera is terrible. unless you like opening and closing the app over and over at peak hours (the middle of the night) don't bother with the camera. it will attempt to connect forever without error unless you get lucky and it connects by happenstance. expect to spend 15 -20 minutes just trying to get it to load so you can go to sleep.

Updating my review to reflect some disinterest in the UI update. If I could go back to the older UI, I would. this one is much bulkier, IMO. I find it difficult to read, and I'm unhappy they no longer display the picture! I wish there was a setting to have the old UI. Very disappointed in this. Original review: This device has helped my anxiety so much. I feel much better knowing I can monitor my little one from the comfort of my own bed ♡

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. My baby was born prematurely, we were gifted this as a peace of mind item. It initially worked amazingly. Suddenly it stopped connecting to the app so we had to reset it almost every other day. Then it stopped connecting all together. Reached out to customer service three months ago and I've been given 1000 "solutions" that led nowhere. Will find another monitor that actually works.

Since the new update, the app doesn't connect camera to both my husband's and my phone. The app says the camera cannot connect but it is actually the app issue because camera and sock are both connected and send data to the app. We bought the sock + camera like 8 months ago and something went wrong less than 1 year. We contacted the customer service and got the camera replaced. I was able to use the app again less than a day, and then it stopped working. We use relatively new phones (android).

Can't turn off range notifications from app and range is awful, which makes the sock unusable. When you go to do a feeding in the middle of the night and the sock wakes up the household because it went out of range and you have to undress the now screaming baby to get it off and go all the way back to the crib to put it away after waking up your partner who only just got to sleep, you're not very inclined to put it back on. But range notifications are dumb, I know she's okay, I carried her away.
