Reviews for Pagebound: Social Book Tracker

This is my favorite book talk app by far! Fell in love with the web version first. I've ditched Goodreads for good and don't miss it. The fact that every book has a readalong forum, where you can discuss and share your thoughts while reading is my favorite feature. I also really love finding and following fellow readers with a similar taste to mine. The community aspect in general is so good! Here when you post a review or update you'll actually get interactions! No bluechecks required 😉💖

I've been using (and loving) Pagebound in-browser for a few weeks now, eagerly awaiting its app release. today is app release day and it couldn't possibly be more beautiful!!!! this app has lived up to and surpassed every teaser and promo that Jennifer and Lucy have been pushing out on the PB socials. the app version is responsive, intuitive and a visual delight!!!

I've gotten on this app in search of an alternative book tracker to GR and I've never looked back. Not only are the features itself great — forums, list curating(mixtapes but for books), half star ratings, emoji highlights, daily discovery page refresh for recs, seasonal and special readalongs, etc. — Pagebound and its community has cultivated a fun, positive and respectful community to yap away about books. And all of these are gamified! So fun earning points and badges and leveling up!

genuinely THE best book tracking app out there!! i love the design, the reading challenges, and especially the focus on community interaction. there's a great planning feature for sorting our your tbr as well as forums for every book - you can track people's thoughts by %, which makes the reading experience so much more fun!! if you've been looking for a goodreads replacement, this is the one!!

Love this app so far! Happy to know it's from a small developer, does not use AI, and is free from ads! The devs make it easy to report any bugs or issues and they actually listen to their users! I like the community functions and so far it's been a very positive experience. There are still a few small things that could be enhanced, but it's brand new so I imagine they'll patch some bugs soon.

I'm really liking this app so far. I only have one request, please add a way we can keep track of what page we left on. There's already a "my book journey" so being able to see how many pages we've read over time would be so cool. If this is already something you guys are planning on adding, I'm so looking forward to it

I've been a fan of Pagebound for awhile and really enjoyed using the website! The app is just as great and has a stunning interface. If youre a reader and enjoy talking with others about all things books, this is the app for you with tracking, book forums for conversation, badges, and more!

This app is absolutely beautiful! there are so many features I don't even know where to begin. I think my favorite is that when you're in the forms there are spoilers and those spoilers are blurred!! I love that! I can see that there's a post and I can choose if I'm going to go into that. The aesthetics and ease of use are just amazing!!

Nice but import needs work. Just started out and overall very good first impression, nice and easy ui and good features, however the import from my Goodreads completely messed up. It has put everything from my Want to Read into the TBR, together with my actual TBR, so I'll now have to manually go over 400+ books to remove those I don't have, but just want to read. There's also some tags and shelves that messed up. Which is sadly really putting me off getting more into it

There are a couple of issues that still need work: The app is a little glitchy (app is up to date) & has closed a couple of times. I don't understand the +add read dates feature; I wanted to add the dates I'm reading each day but it seems to just want the start and finish dates. A bit confusing. And I entered some of my favourite books, but the ones that came up during the search I didn't like the image of, but if I wanted to add my own image I had to go through Goodreads which I don't have.

I've been a Pagebound user through their website for several months and have fallen in love with the book tracker's setup, design, and concept. As an app, Pagebound takes what you know and love from the website version and changes it to be mobile-friendly! Everything is easily accessible. The colors are even more eye-catching than the website. Excited to see this platform grow!

username: Bluehairedboy So I'm not the type of person to leave a review but I wanted to leave one for PageBound because this is honestly the cutest book tracking app on the planet. I love the way it's so intuitive to use. I love the reddit type forums and the fact that this app is based on community and shared love for reading more than anything. Most importantly, it's ANTI AI so any recs you're getting, you're getting from a community. I can't wait for what's in store for the roadmap.

The cutest book app ever! I really like the half-star rating, the monthly/yearly reading plans, and so much more that this app has: emojis to describe the book you're reviewing, recommendations from people all over the world, DNF and paused options (which goodreads doesn't have), shelfs and lists you can make, quests to earn points and get cute badges (which will be visible on your profile!!) and the best thing is that it's anti-AI and also made by women who love to read! Girl power! 💪🏻❤️

Pagebound is a great platform to track and discuss reading and listening to books! The app version has the same features and capabilities as the Pagebound mobile/browser version. The app interface looks nice, is user-friendly, and works well! There are no ads or annoying notifications. You can create an account or use Google credentials to log into the app. There is no AI anywhere in or used by the app, and the app doesn't need any access to your phone data.

Pagebound is the most beautiful, modern, sleek reading app I have ever used. The founders prioritize community, discussion, and connection and it shows in every choice and every new upgrade. No AI, no algorithm, no advertisements or promotions, just discussing the books you love with a friendly and welcoming community. Pagebound turned my doomscrolling into joyscrolling!

I've been using Pagebound website for a while now, and am so happy the App is now available. Things to Love: - "Current Reads" are featured at the top of the landing page for the App, so you can quickly update where you're up to in the book, post a thought "from X%", and review when done. - Book "Quests" - The colour schemes! 😍🥹 Pagebound to me feels more community minded, but also works for those who prefer just to use a platform to track their reading. Love it!

Pagebound is the perfect social book app. Community focused, inclusive, a great way to make friends and discover new books. it takes everything missing from other book trackers, and then makes standard features 100 times better. I have made new friends, discovered new favourite books I never would have known about otherwise, and has simply been one of the best things I've been a part of this year. Anti-Ai, indie, and female owned, Pagebound is a must have for all readers.

It's a book tracking app that focuses on discussion and community more than which special edition of the book you read and such. I love that it has no AI features and is owned by People and not the big bad Corporation. I feel like it has the potential to be a good platform to collect the conversations on the books we read if more people sign up! I look forward to the future developments of the app/website.

Although the app is new, and, admittedly, I have had an issue or two, I'm giving this app 5 stars because it just released so it gets some slack aaaaaaand I love it so much. How many different ways you can rate a book and how much more specifically you can do it is just amazing. I also love how there is a dnf and tbr list. AND that you can plan your books for months ahead. Plus, although I wouldn't blame them if they did later on, there are no ads!!!

Very grateful that a reading app has been made for readers by readers! I have been using the desktop version for the past few months and at first I was nervous about switching from Goodreads (which would update my reading status without me having to do anything). I thought I would fall behind on tracking what I was reading if it wasn't an automated process, but that hasn't been the case! Whenever I start or finish a book I get excited to go manually enter in the information!
