Terrible customer support; inaccurate logs. The only app/company I've used where if you forget to cancel a trial subscription and go even just one day past, they won't issue a refund. So I've been charged $60 for an annual subscription I won't use that is not in any way worth it. Oh, and the amount of water the cat is drinking is woefully inaccurate. When I add up the logs and compare it with the amount of water missing since it was filled it's always off by a huge margin.

The product was great when I first purchased it. Tracked the food output, keeps food fresh, and camera is amazing. But I went away on a work trip, & unfortunately when the wifi disconnected. Luckily I had a friend checking in. It will not let me reconnect, and the buttons are stuck in the locked position. I have tried everything to unlock them and reset the device but since I cannot access it through the app. it looks like I will have to just buy a different product. Do NOT recommend!

the app doesn't recognize the amount of water my cats drink from it. The instructions were inconsistent with how to set it up, whether it said to use the physical "user manual" that came with the product, which does not contain instructions on how to set up the fountain, or how it basically is a safety warning booklet that just wants you to view the online videos they provided. Something that is this price, there should not be a subscription baked into the app for the very service it advertised

Used to love this app. Used to offer great features, but now, I have to re-register my device each day making the app useless unless you pay for a "premium subscription." However, unless you pay for access, the app is beyond useless. Simple features such as water level low or even filter change reminders are a premium feature. Don't leave your pet without water due to the lacking basic features of this fountain purchase. The purpose of this fountain... Im looking for a new one.

The last update, 11/6/24, stopped notifications. The hopper was empty but no notification, so the cats missed several meals. The notifications worked before this recent update. Update: After submitting a ticket and troubleshooting, Petlibro determined the issue was faulty feeders(3). they replaced all 3 feeders, and now the notifications work.

Update 9/3/25: The app is much better than it used to be. Camera feed comes up almost instantly, and I'm not having connection issues. Old review: Camera feeder we got sucks. It seems to reboot whenever I got to view the live feed. I have to wait for it to finish rebooting before I can see the live view. This happens constantly.

When setting up the feeding schedule frequency, the default should be everyday. IT'S NOT OBVIOUS THAT YOU HAVE TO TOUCH EACH DAY TO TURN ON THAT DAY'S FEEDING WITH A CHECKMARK, ESPECIALLY SINCE EVERYTHING ELSE IS TURNED ON WITH A TOGGLE SWITCH. I had a very hungry kitty for several nights 😾, luckily someone came by to give wet food in the AM. The old app (now gone) was better, more intuitive & fewer choices to control, plus didn't try to upsell you with a subscription every few minutes.

YOOOOOO, I figured the silly app. have only ONE SCHEDULE! Do NOT hit "+" for continuous meals plan unless you want a special/independent feeding outside of regular feedings. When viewing a schedule, hit one of the other (numbered) sections while still on the screen that has the schedule you previously entered, then enter additional times. After so, you should see all the set times on the same screen next to the corresponding meal sections...such as an upside down triangle...hope this helps

Just getting started with this app and right away I'm already extremely annoyed with the endless prompts for the cloud subscription. I can't click on any of my SD Card saved videos without needing to go through TWO full screen ads for the cloud service. These are unavailable when starting from the app home page. Absolutely not a good start. We'll see if it goes further downhill from here.

So far, this is a great addition to my cat's setup! It keeps his food cold and I'm reaching into the fridge way less! Only thing I would love to see is more of an "on demand" setting. My cat will eat for a minute or two and then roam around for a few minutes or just straight up walk away and go sleep for a while. He's definitely a grazer. The device knows that he's there (not sure where the motion sensor is though) so it would be cool if it just opened when he approached it.

Company recently fixed its constant 'empty' notifications & calibration not working issues. Previously, I keep getting "Lack of water" notifications, but there was plenty of water (even after filling to the max fill line) - calibration didn't work at all (always got an error) - sometimes wifi connectivity was lost. Much better now. I'd give 5 stars, but think that the wired model should have motion sensing feature, and the app notifications should be grouped together. Thx for fixing issues.

Doesn't connect with my granular Wi-Fi feeder. Have to use the old Perlibro-LITE app for to connect. However, even though that one connects, there's an update that I can never complete because it claims there's a network error even though I can adjust the schedules and manually dispense food from the app. In the description for this app it says a list of compatible devices. Mine, PLAF103, is on that list and I can confirm it's not compatible. Not my feeder anyway.

Worked well until it didn't. I have the Polar wet feeder. Needed to use it this weekend as I would be out of town. Scheduled his three wet meals... and when the time came for the feeder to open- I didn't know if it did. The app was stuck on "preparing"... it never said open and feeding. He's an older cat and needs wet food; he can't have all kibble. so I had to drive home early. Very unreliable app. if I can get this working again, I'll set a camera up next time I use it.

While the ads for the subscription are annoying, I have not experienced it popping up randomly as many reviews claim. I do wish there was an option to be notified when a pet eats as well, as one of ours is underweight and we bought these to track her eating habits specifically. I can review the log, but it would give me more peace of mind to be notified if she is at the feeder for longer than 30s or so.

Device is nice but the app is really bad. It disconnected my device while I'm away and now i can't open it for her, which is really stressful. It also should allow for more than one scheduled feeding per day per tray. The functionality of the whole app is really illogically done, and Im saying this as a software engineer - there's a lot of basic functionality that should be there that's missing. And now it's erroring out a bunch which is making the device completely unusable. I'm not Impressed.

Bought 2 RFID Feeders and RFID Fountain which worked fine the last two weeks until a moment ago. I got a notification that they were disconnected. As soon as I clicked on the app, all my products disappeared and got a pop-up error "Request Timed out. Please try again later". This is very frustrating and upsetting contthe amount of money I paid for all these products. Need this fixed ASAP, then I'll change the rating.

You have got to do much better with this feeder. I have the Granny Smart feeder. The notifications do not work properly. For example. I have it set for 5 minutes before the feeder is supposed to go off. Most of the time it does not notify me 5 minutes before. When the feeder does go off, I do not get notified until minutes or hours later......🤔. Please fix this. I hope this does not stop working because my dog needs to have his meals and I am not always home for his feedings.

Not being able to schedule more than three meals a day is a problem. I don’t want to leave food out for hours, but my indoor/outdoor cat often misses mealtimes. I have to manually open the feeder, disrupting the schedule and preventing the food from reaching room temperature. It would be great if the same bowls could be scheduled to reopen if there’s still food left. A way to weigh the food would also help. On the plus side, the feeder keeps food fresh longer. I hope for more app updates soon.

When I first bought this product, it was great! Kept track of usage, the alerts were timely and helped ensure my cats never ran out of water. For the last few months however the notifications never fire, and I'm back to having to manually check the device to keep tabs on things. Completely removing any justification for the price. Do not recommend!

The Polar feeder itself is very nice, but the app is steaming hot garbage. I set it up, did a firmware update, created a schedule, and...the schedule didn't run. I opened the app to see if I could fix it, but it had logged me out. I logged back in, got a "Network Error", but could still manually control the bowls. I tried to fix the schedule, but the app had logged me out. I tried again and again, but it logs me out after a minute or so. Nice hardware, *awful* app.
