Dude... this game is unplayable unless you buy the subscription because you get an ad after every few notes. EVERY FEW NOTES!? I could understand an ad after 1 song, but this is pathetic. If the app was good I probably would have gotten the subscription but I can't even play it so how do I know if I'd want a subscription!? Maybe something to think about unless your app is just doing amazing and I'm the only person this is frustrating to. If that is the case then bravo..lol
Reviews for Piano – music & songs games
Could be a great, 5-star app but like others have said, can't get through the first 2 songs without ad bombardment, and the no-ad version is $8.35 (tax all-in) per week!? Someone has grossly overestimated what a consumer finds "value" in. It has a better chance of proliferation and generating the most total revenue if it was in the $4.99 - $6.99 per month range. No one is going to pay $400+ annually for a piano game on 6-7" wide mobile phone.
Ads, ads, ads...constantly. You can never really enjoy the game because you play for 15 seconds and then watch a minute long ad. OR you can pay $7.99 a WEEK... if it was a one-time payment I could understand, but that is almost $32 a MONTH for a game...ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF!!! And after reading the other reviews further back this is an ongoing issue and they do not seem intent on fixing it, no matter what they say in response to a review.
I literally had this app downloaded for about 5 minutes and I uninstalled it. This game (if you can call it that) is unplayable. as soon as I copy 4 notes I was just taught, a new ad plays. How are the ads as long as the slivers of play time? This is egregious and obviously meant to push the user to purchase the "full" version. But the thing is, you literally can't even get a feel for the game to see if you would even WANT to buy it. Whoever's in charge of this app is doing this wrong.
Love the concept. Cannot handle playing 5 notes and then a 10-30 second ad. I understand you can pay to not have ads and that ads make money to run and develop the app, however, I am not even getting the opportunity to see if I like it enough to pay for it. It took 3 or 4 ads to make it through the first line of the happy birthday song. That is absolutely ridiculous. I had the app installed roughly 15 minutes and I'm already deleting because I've spent more time watching ads than trying the game
Absolutely awful. It looks great and sounds great. When you first install, you get a 3 day free trial. You get to choose a song to go in and follow along to or as a memory type option. Cool! But the problem is that u get to play 5 notes and then watch an ad IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NOTES! So you get 5-10 seconds of piano time and then ad. I thought it was a glitch or something but it happened EVERY SINGLE TIME. It would take HOURS to get thru 1 song. Don't waste your time or money!
The app itself isn't bad when you get to play it. The ads are absolutely terrible. They break up a song into several parts that are only 10 seconds long at most and they place an ad in-between each part. The ads are often longer than the part you play. Once you've completed the parts and unlock the full song to play, you have to wait for a ridiculously long ad. I had one that was over 4 minutes in length with no ability to skip. All to play little teapot. Not worth it. 1 star as a result.
Too many ads and too expensive to pay for! Uninstalling! Also, if a person really wants to learn to play the piano, memorization of the keys for the notes that fall downtrend screen and rhythm is all you will get. There isn't any explanation of the notes or scales. If I learned a song on this game and tried to play on a real piano, I couldn't. This is similar to Guitar Hero. You don't really learn to play anything. It's all hand-eye coordination with no learning involved.
Obscene amount of ads. In the learning mode you get to play 3 to 4 notes at a time before being interrupted by an ad. Would be more tolerable if it was only before you started and when you finished, but you can't go like 30 seconds in this app without hitting an ad. $8/week is also insanely high pricing. For perspective, that's over $400 a year. You could buy a decent piano keyboard for that. You can buy lifetime subs on other piano apps for less than half that. Don't waste your time or money.
Not liking it so far, I usually hate games that force you to rate it early on top of that. The ads are horrendous, and the songs are incomplete and too short. 6 ads per each 30-second music clip or something close to it. The paid version might be better but not will to test that theory based on what I've seen so far. I'm definitely going to try similar apps after finding this one, tho. great idea, terrible execution
