So here's my take on Pupil Distance PD Glasses & VR. I've tested a bunch of similar apps and this one is pretty solid. The PD measurement process is simple and accurate, which is the most important thing. And the extra info on what PD is and why it matters is a nice touch too. On the downside, the UI could use some polishing and the instructions aren't the clearest. But for a free app, it's hard to complain. I'd recommend it if you need to measure your PD, just give yourself a few minutes to figure it out.

Description

Been using the Pupil Distance PD Glasses & VR app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you measure your pupillary distance, which is the distance between your pupils. This measurement is super important when getting new glasses or using VR headsets.

Here’s what you do: you just take a picture holding a credit card or reward card up to your face, and the app uses that for scale to calculate your PD. There’s also some info on what PD is and why it matters. Took me a bit to figure out at first but it’s pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you wear glasses or use VR, you’ll probably find this app useful. It’s not perfect – the instructions could be a bit clearer – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need to measure your PD.

Tried it for the last few days, more then 30 times, and kept getting different results. There should to be a custom timer and perhaps a movable camera button. Also,...

It's a little awkward and I only used it once, but I compared it to a manual measurement using a ruler for my son. It seems fairly accurate, giving me...
