The ad says, "Anytime, anywhere" but you have to be online to use the app. You also can't search for books and there's no archive or place to keep special books that you've read and liked but want to read again in the future. If you fix these things, it'd be a five-star review from me for sure. Everything else is perfect. Books are actually limitless and are very well written as well.
Reviews for Readict -One Click Away Novels
← Back to Readict -One Click Away NovelsSo far, interesting stories. Ads can get annoying, but that's what keeps it free. Would like to see some of the stories edited better, but I can generally get the gist of what they're trying to say when it's more jumbled. Downside, I had to transfer to a new phone and all of the coins, library, etc can't transfer over to new phone. There needs to be a way to create an account so you don't lose information when changing devices.
Storiy was interesting but the adds after each short chapter were extremely annoying, especially after noticing there were 800 of them. Then, when you think the story is concluding, you are informed that more of the story will continue on another day. Buy your books. Don't bother with this app!!!! I uninstalled after one partial read. I won't wait for another day to read more of the story. I'm glad that I skipped to what I thought was the end and didn't stop for all the 800 chapter adds.
The love the stories, but when you can't afford to purchase the points, then you get stuck because u can't finish a book. Each chapter costs way too many points. Wish there was a way to just pay for the whole book. Also, there are some writing mistakes in the books and skipped words that make the sentences hard to understand. Also, maybe there could be a way to get more free points or free chapters that be awesome.
I would give 5 stars but I hate the daily check-in system. I am on the app multiple times a day, but if I don't remember to go in to the specific area to sign in, it doesn't count it. I think I've missed almost 2 weeks total check-ins because I forget. PLEASE make it pop up when you log in for the first time every day! So many apps do it, and it's sad that this one doesn't. Also, sometimes it just opens my browser and I absolutely hate that!
I had seen the ad for Readict books many times. Finally, after reading a few reviews, I decided to download the app. I really liked the book I read. What I didn't like was pausing every 3-4 minutes for a 35-40 second ad. There was an option to buy coins to use instead of ads, but as many times as I stopped, I figured to use at least $5 per book. I will stick with my Nook, where I can get free books or cheap books, and read them without interruption.
No annoying coin system or locked chapters which is rare now with reading apps. I don't mind watching ads as it keeps it free. I do hate that you can't filter for completed stories. I've started so many that never finish. I'm still waiting for updates on a story for the last 3 years. I will no longer read on-going stories after being burned too many times. I wish I could search for completed stories only.
The overall concept of this app is good. I don't mind ads to read a new chapter, and there are what seem to be some pretty good books on here. The problem I'm having is that no matter how many times I try to add a book to my library, it just doesn't appear in the library. Also, after I get past the free chapters and have to start watching ads, it just skips me back to chapter one after the ad instead of letting me read the next chapter.
absolutely LOVE this app. it is truly free can read as much as u want. All you have to do is watch a 1 minute ad between chapters. The novels are so worth reading, not that chopped up, trying to follow the plot line stuff of other apps where u get 100 coins a day and have to spend 125 coins to read a single chapter. Wish there were more apps like this one!!!
Updated review, I hear a lot of people complaining about the ads but if I have to watch 2 or 3 ads per chapter I would because some of the books are just that good in my opinion. "BUT" and this is a big but I don't understand why so many of the books are paused and just left incomplete and the authors take forever to come back to update chapters... it's very annoying. Is there one author writing a lot of your books because it can't be several authors doing the same thing, I hope this rectified.
It's FREE!!! Love that I can watch an ad, then get right into the next chapter without further delay. The other reading apps with rheir coins and/points are beyond tideous and you can read but so many chapters a day unless you buy an overpriced subscription that's usually setup to drain your coins extremely fast (found out the hard way). Skip the rest! This is the best!
This reading app, really is FREE to read all stories. You can watch quick, little 30 second advertisements instead of paying. OR if YOU WANT to, they do give you the option to buy coins, & bypass watching anything. The stories are so far pretty good, at least the ones I've read. You can use a filter to look for certain types, like kind of plot, or etc...
I used to really like this app has very good books. But this R unlimited that keeps popping up at the end of every chapter. It's so annoying. I've done read 3 or 4 books with that stupid R poppin, up you think after two or three, they would get the idea you don't want that!!!!!!! UGH I'm going to finish the book that I am reading. Keep this app until I finish the book that I was reading that that is ongoing and then delete it. I'm done with the constant R unlimited.
Edit: Ads are back up so I'm happy again and glad I didn't delete, I love reading these books and when I can afford to pay I will. But watching the ads to read for free is much better. I loved this app. After all, I could read for free just by watching ads because I can't afford much, but it seems like that stopped sometime today. So I purchased a small pack once that's gone I'm deleting the app, I hate when these apps change up on you it really makes me sad
Well I used to love this app. Not so much anymore. Much harder to earn points, they have short expiration timeframes now. I love, love, love this app. No cost to read just short adds to view for each chapter. Collect points for add free reading time. You can buy your points if you don't want to watch 60 second advertising clips. Lots of great stories. I have subscriptions to several reading apps, this is in the top 3.
Don't Waste Your Time. When reading a book you expect proper grammar. At the least, you expect no typos. The book I read had SO many errors it was obvious the author didn't bother to run spell check. I started to wonder if the author even reread what they wrote. There are SO many ads it takes a ridiculous amount of time to read a book. Unless you pay money you're stuck dealing with it. You get to read for 2-3 minutes and then 30-60 seconds of ads. No thanks.
ad i clicked said 100% free, not true, i don't mind paying to read, but amounts wanted is too much for what you get. stories are unchecked, spelling, many sound as though they are written by a younger person, especially on slang words, this is not bad but confusing if not used to words. plus, language is rather casual at times, when a status would suggest different. All for new writers, it takes practice, but don't charge premium for novice work
There are too many ads and bad grammar. Reading a story, and it sucks that I have to watch an ad just to continue reading. Then, in some parts of the story, the peoples names are spelled wrong. Not for me, uninstalled. Update, I tried this again, I can't complete a chapter without it trying to go to something that says click, and it says it's a virus. Also, I watched an ad to continue onto the next chapter, and it sent me back to the chapter that I was already on.
The stories in this app are pretty good. However, I spend more time watching ads than actually reading the book. Sure you can pay for it, but if you add up how much you have to pay just to get through one book it costs way more than buying a book at Barnes and Noble. I can see having to watch an ad for the next chapter, but a lot of chapters make you watch an ad in the middle of the chapter as well. On top of that, there are so many grammar issues and typos that I should apply to be an editor.
They offer you to watch adds to collect more stars, check in offer, which would be fine if it actually worked. I've watch some of the adds on different days/times and at no point did I get double stars for watching said add(s). I'm just brought back to checking in and watching add(s) for more stars, it literally is a repeating cycle. Please do not offer something that your app has no intentions of upholding. Other than that I enjoy this app.
