This app sucks. It said that one of the items I put on my menu was unavailable so I edited that specific item to take off one of the extra items I added to it. Then it let my order go through to the payment. then when I tried to place my order after adding in all my information all it does is say "there was a problem" It doesn't tell me what the problem was so I can fix it and I couldn't even place my order.

It finds your location and your only option is the closest restaurant. I wanted to pick up from a restaurant that was much further away, but it's closer to my house. If they're out of something, it shows on the menu still and you won't know until you're about to pay. Sometimes it's glitched and says they're out of something,but if you place the order you get the food anyways. I'm also running into a constant "invalid auth token" while trying to place orders, so I cannot do anything in the app. Really annoying.
The app was easy to set up and use. The issue came once I ordered. The food wasn't as good as when I eat there and they added a huge tip to the bill. Easily 22% or more. To add insult to injury they didn't do anything that would warrant a tip like that. She spent all of what two mins with me? Hardly worth that. I would recommend just going to R/R and placing the Togo order or just eat there.
Won't let me complete my profile, always gives an error message. I have a reward listed as save $10 on a $30 order. Despite the reward showing in my cart the $10 discount does not apply in the cart or at checkout. Contacted customer service and they were of no help. Too much hassle for me I'll just order somewhere else. Absolutely terrible app Red Robin should be embarrassed I'm sure it's costing them lost business.
Red Robin has great food! But whenever I want to order food it comes with all kinds of issues. The app is buggy and gives me error messages if I change tabs, and for some items like the tavern burgers it glitches out and won't let me add extra fries! And now my most recent problem is that it won't even pick up my location or show me any of their locations on the map. I tried to sign out and back in, and now it won't let me sign back in! All it does is darken the screen and load and then nothing.
What this app really needs is more pop-ups. I mean, who doesn't love being constantly bombarded with requests for their location or the chance to join yet another promotional club? Because clearly, the more times I'm interrupted by these ads for your own company, the more likely I am to actually spend time on your app, right? One day, I might actually see all the prices on the menu. 5 stars. Keep up the good work.
Mysteriously canceled order through app. We tried to order food tonight, drove 40 minutes to pick it up, and staff was completely confused on arrival. We received confirmation of the order through the app ( correct location and pickup date and time) and staff took 20 minutes to tell us they didn't see it in their system and couldnt make us the food since it was close to closing. Bad experience, I'd order in person in the future
Pros: I like that you can customize orders like saying make fries extra crispy or no pink in for burger. Also love that you can add extra fries and sauces for free. Cons: Can't view order history, say current order was wrong, or change/add to order even 30 seconds after you order. I ordered a no pink burger and when I got home I found it raw in middle, and I'm not exaggerating "raw" I took a picture to prove it, but the app has no way to say food was wrong.
When I can order what I want it works. However IDK how this apps works in terms of menu items. Half the time I can't order menu times because I have to pick a cheese, which are marked required, but have zero options for cheese. Can't add to cart cause it's mysteriously marked out of stock... How do I want to cook my burger? Sorry only option is no-pink, and trying to put in "special cooking instructions" with a 16 character limit seems to be largely ignored. I still get well done patties.
Whether on the app or the website I have *NEVER* had a successful order. Either canceled items that I don't find out about until I'm picking up, or promos that magically disappear as soon as you try to check out. ...Or today after I changed my location and my favorite location to where I'm at, the store says they don't know what I'm talking about and when I look at the order it's magically changed across town again. And now I'm hungry and cranky and going someplace else. Again.
Starting to irritate me!!!!!! I've been trying to place an order for delivery because I am sick. I keep getting an error message that that's not an option for my preferred location, but lists delivery as being available. Also, I need to be able to place a gluten-free order and this is no longer an option on the menu. Please update the app to correctly show if delivery is an option or not and start making gluten-free free buns an option on the app menu again. It used to be there!!!
I love using the Red Robin app for car-side pickup. The app is very easy to use & the food comes out promptly & my order is usually correct. The whole process is pretty smooth. I just wish they'd bring back zucchini fries!! They are like 90% of the reason we go to Red Robin & all of a sudden they are no longer on the menu. It makes me sad. I'm still giving the app 5 stars because it's not the apps fault they don't have them anymore, but I just wanted to complain somewhere. Thanks for listening.
App is great if you can login! I use the app at least twice a month but for some reason I was forced to change my password. NOTHING worked even though I had more than the required one capital, one lowercase, one number, one symbol, at least 8 characters long. Tried NUMEROUS different passwords that I know I've never used before but none of them work. Ended up having to change PW on the website, delete the app, and then redownload. Totally frustrating.
Latest update is very upsetting. I was 2 purchases away from a free burger on the previous version. Now I have to spend $80 dollars to get to my reward? Make it make sense. It's also my birthday month, which is nearly over, and the free burger has not loaded to my account. Very disappointing, as this one of my favorite places to eat at. EDIT: Now my points have completely disappeared & I have to start from zero. Not a reward program I want to continue using.
App glitched out twice while trying to place an order - got through the whole order and when I went to pay, it sent me back to the log in screen. Called the store to order, talked to a human, she was very helpful. I mentioned the app issue and she actually said, "Yeah, that's why they hired us, because the app crashes so much." lol
We order online from here all the time and the reason we keep coming back is because it's so easy to order, the food is great, and our order is always right even though we make a ton of customizations. I hate getting food home only to discover missing or incorrect items...not with Red Robin. They get it right and the food is wonderful!!! Highly recommend!
Arrived @ the restaurant & they had no idea I had even placed an order. The app said my order was placed & received. It failed to say my payment method did not work. Instead, I'm @ the restaurant looking like a fool, & the app freezes. When I close & reopen it, it has no recollection of my order. The failed payment was only told to me via email. The app should have recognized the failed payment immediately. Also, it only allowed me to place the order for over a half hour past when I ordered it.
I just downloaded the app and signed up but when I go to select a restaurant to order from I click on "show map" and the app crashes every time. I enabled my location, but all it shows is a location in Windsor, Canada. There's a search box there, so I typed in Roseville, Michigan and it was listed in the search menu. When I click on it the app won't select it. This app is unusable. If the restaurant I want is further than the closest one to me I can't select it.
UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER THIS IS STILL HAPPENING!!! The major flaw in the app (and online) is when you begin you order and are asked when you want it. If you select ASAP, the system gives you a time. By the time you enter in your entire order and go to checkout, the payment system shows "There is a problem". As it turns out, the originally assigned time (ASAP) is not available - but the app doesn't tell you that! You have to go all the way to the beginning and change the time to a future time!
