So here's my honest take on Ride with GPS: Bike Navigation. I've tested a bunch of biking apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The turn-by-turn voice navigation is super useful and I like how you can download offline maps for riding in remote areas. The live tracking is a cool feature too, though I don't use it much personally. The only downside is the UI feels a bit dated and takes some getting used to. But once you figure it out, it's a pretty powerful app for cyclists.

Pros

  • Tons of routes to discover and plan your rides
  • Offline maps so you can navigate without cell signal
  • Live tracking so friends can follow along on your rides
  • Bluetooth connectivity to pull data from your bike sensors
  • Free to use with no paywalls or limits

Cons

  • The user interface can be a bit clunky and confusing at first
  • Some of the advanced features are hidden and not pretty intuitive
  • Gets a bit repetitive if you're just using the basic navigation
  • Occasional bugs and crashes, though they do get fixed pretty quickly

Description

Been using Ride with GPS: Bike Navigation for a couple months now. It’s basically a mobile app that helps you plan bike routes, get voice-guided navigation, and track your rides. Pretty solid app if you’re into cycling or just exploring new areas on your bike.

Here’s what you can do: You can search for cool routes in the app’s route database, or create your own custom routes. And there’s also a live tracking feature so your friends can see where you are. And the offline maps are super handy for when you’re riding in areas with no signal.

Look, if you’re into cycling and want a reliable navigation app, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking to level up your ride experience.

Don't get this app for bike touring, it's extremely slow and will ask you to turn off power saver every time you use it. No way to see where you...
