Incessantly demands I log in every time I open the app or even if I bring it from the background. How about a passkey or biometric if it's going to be this pesky? I think a counter offer feature would be useful. There are few who can pick up an offer with a 130lb item. I would but at a better price. It can take an long time for an offer to increase. Pick ups could be done quicker if sender/Roadie accepts my pickup offer.
Reviews for Roadie Driver
← Back to Roadie DriverI wouldn't give this app one star, the app is awful, there are too many errors on gigs, gigs not processing out, and even worst there's no driver support, customer service is MIA you wait hours to possibly get someone on the line to deal with the one issue keeping you from using the app, this app is not worth the time, or earnings it offers. on top of that they take out two dollars or more for instant payout options which is highway robbery. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS APPLICATION
Roadie is a good delivery app. But recently, I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app like 10 times to get it to work properly. Each time I reinstall, I can login normally. But when I close the app and try to re login, then I can't really login and have to uninstall/ reinstall. I wish this glitch can be fixed soon. I do use Roadie for extra $$$ during the week. if someone from IT cn help.
Was in the middle of a gig. When I tried to click the complete order button, I kept getting error messages. I tried everything to fix the issue. Force stopping it, restarting my phone, cleaning the cache, reinstalling it, etc. I tried getting in contact with support, but I got no response. I tried opening the chat, but nothing. I tried calling them, but I had to wait over 20 minutes, and still no response. So, I had to return the rest of the items to the store. That's it. I quit.
Roadie is a great way to make some extra money when it works. When it doesn't work, it is the most frustrating piece of garbage ever released. let's not talk about how absolutely useless the in-app chat is. The only real way to talk to someone is to find a number to call online because they give you no way to contact them through the app outside of that chat that never actually works.
when it works it is great. but there are times it has issues. I had a gig a few days ago where the location was wrong on the GPS. I was with the recipient but the app wanted me to go another 1/2 mile up the road. Therefore I could not finish the delivery. The app kept telling me I was at the wrong location. I know I was at the correct spot because I know the client personally. When faced with problems like these one needs to contact roadie support which opens another problem. Long wait times!!
updated- i have had this app for a couple years now. There used to be some decent rides making the delivery worthwhile. Lately, there will more opportunity but the rides are ridiculous in the pay. 50 stops, 8 hours and get paid $80 for amazon stuff or 11 stops, 3 hours, 80 miles and $30 for bestbuy. i have had one b4 for 1 stop, 20 miles and make $50 but i have not seen those in quite awhile now. seems like the gig economy has dried up and they are expecting alot of driving for little pay.
I've had this app a little over a week now, and it still won't stop loading on the registration screen, even on a solid wifi connection. I'd hate to see how long it takes to load on data. Now that I'm back to trying again, it won't let me past the login security screen. I've typed in the correct verification code both times, and it's claiming there's an error. What a piece of trash app.
It's very frustrating when the app has errors and you can't fix it yourself. trying to contact anyone in support over the phone, chat, email, or even Facebook messenger with no luck, no response or answer. I did a delivery, and I have been trying for hours to resolve the problem. no response 😕. last time, it took 3 days for someone to finally respond to the email. this is unacceptable
This is a decent gig app in most cases... except if for some reason the app refuses to recognize that you've arrived at the dropoff point. Then you HAVE to get in touch with the support team in order to have them mark the job as complete and get paid, which means you need to be staring at the support screen for a couple of hours waiting for a response (if you look away then they'll ignore you).
The app itself was fine until the last update. Although I wish there wasn't such a delay sometimes with having the "gig" accepted. My biggest problem is the Roadie Driver Support. It's horrendous. There is no phone number to call and speak to a person. Any communication must be done through text messaging only. There are times where you text them and there's no response for extended periods of time, yet if you do not immediately respond, they end the chat and you're out of luck.
customer service absolutely sucks!!! the app was having an issue and wouldn't let me complete pick up after I scanned items. messages cs and no reply, I googled # and was on hold for 45 mins and it hung up, tried to call back and auto hung up. I have messaged cs several times and still no response. the app still says I'm driving 1 gig and the store cancelled the order since I couldn't finish the pick up to know where I was supposed to go for drop off. this was 2 days ago.
The Jobs are Great. The app is not so. The app times out too often. It relaunches to error messages. The only way for me to resolve is to force close the app, then clear the cache. Update to review...13 Sep 25. This is the only app that gets worse after an update. Gigs are readily available, but you won't get them because you can't close out your previous completed gig. Thus, you have to call support(20 minutes minimum hold time) for them to close out your previous gig. Ongoing issue.
Was a real gig app at one point a couple years ago. These days you find out at pick up that deliveries never existed or mysteriously get cancelled right as you arrived. Every. Time. My earnings plummet by hundreds on the weeks I try to use this app. It really was nice back in the day but now it's just a complete waste of time. Maybe the fact that I had a gig payment pending for over 6 months should have been a sign.
The app goes out once every three months and they don't tell you anything. Also, I've been trying to contact their help desk once per hour since Monday and nobody has ever replied to me. EDIT: App is still glitching on me every day and support is not really helpful, and wait times for help are still unacceptable for an company run by UPS. I am jumping ship to the competition. When was the last time Amazon ever went out of service?!
This app worked fine for me for about a month. Then all of a sudden I couldn't upload pictures of the delivered items and I had to call customer support every time I delivered. This took well over an hour each time which wasn't worth it. The time spent on the phone waiting for someone to pick up if the app was working properly I could have delivered 2 to 3 more deliveries. They say they are working on the issue but its still broken on my app. I think im going to jump ship and go to another app.
App is frustrating. We have issues & can't get support. You keep emailing support which takes days to weeks IF they respond. Emergency or app issues don't matter there won't be any response. The app freezes and kicks you out the gps while driving so it's dangerous to keep trying to make it work. It doesn't always submit items so I've had to drive several hours in the dark back to homes to get scan unpaid for FREE. Long waits in sketchy places then can't cancel after wait time.
The way gigs are given out is horrible and you have to wait just to be denied in most cases. The only good thing I see is that you can drive anywhere after you sign up. The pay rate is usually pretty low unless you find a good one and are potentially accepted for it. Edit: Why does Roadie play around with the pricing of gigs? Also, support is the worst and agents end chats without providing help.
Had the app for over 2 weeks now and I'm sick of it. Submitted AT LEAST +30 gigs just to be told "sorry we have decided to select another offer" every single time. I've been on every single day and still haven't gotten my first gig regardless that I have all certifications, descriptions, and a profile made to look as professional as possible. Why set it up like this? What's point if I can't get my foot in the door because they only want the most "experienced" people? False hopes & waste of time!
I would like to give a 5-star rating. Doing deliveries in a bigger city, the app is great. Payment is even decent. The only problem I've found with this app is when you get into rural areas. So maybe the developers could add an offline feature that allows you to complete a delivery when you have no signal. Driver support is actually available if you call them
