The app hasn't been working properly in a while, it doesn't read the tickets baroness when you try to add them for your reward points and if you enter the number manually you get a message saying that is taking longer than expected to find the ticket that when they find it they will add it to the account. I have been waiting for a long period of time and they can never find them since I eat a scholotzkys several times per week I end up loosing quite a few points per week. Please fix it.
Reviews for Schlotzsky’s Rewards Program
The app worked pretty good, but you need to type in order customizations (like "no tomato", "dressing on the side", "no mayo"), and there is a limit on the characters, plus it doesn't always save your changes. I find that the location doesn't always read the requested changes. It would be better if you there was item specific customizations that you could just click on to remove, kind of like Chilis or Subway apps do.
Schlotzsky's charges you to place an order on the app. My medium Deluxe Original is $9.99 plus local tax of $0.82. The app show a total of $11.14. They're charging 3.3% on the pre-tax price to let you order through the app... for a pickup order. An app should benefit the restaurant by making it easier for you to order, thus funneling business to them that might go elsewhere. Why should I be charged for the privilege? I'm not getting the food delivered. Time to get my sandwich fix elsewhere.
No clear instructions for recording points and the people in the store did not even know how to help me with it. When I saw my points did not increase after 3 visits I had to investigate on my own. You have to scan your receipts, app does not track them for you. When I tried doing that it said the receipt (from a couple weeks back) had already expired! Waste of space on my phone and reflects badly on the company. I now don't even want to eat there
It is works fine if you're going to have your location on at all times, but so many features don't work if your not near the building or your gps isnt on. Scan your receipt from the drive thru, absolutely not you're not at the restaurant. Check the menu for something, not if you're not near a restaurant. Use a coupon in store, not if you don't turn on your location, close & reopen the app. It does help me to eat there less, because I don't want the hassle.
PSA: Do NOT make scheduled orders for a different day with a deal. I tried several different times to redeem a deal and pick up my meal another day, my order got canceled at the last minute each and every time. So if you got a deal or offer, I strongly urge you to just redeem and pick it up before it expires. Even though it's 2021, online ordering on an app does NOT guarantee your order will go through sadly.
The reason that I am giving 2 stars is because I literally received 20 of the same notification within a matter of like 4 minutes. I cleared out 3 before realizing there were 17 (SEVENTEEN) more. And I just got another 2. It's the exact same notification. 1 would have sufficient. I only downloaded the app yesterday because I do a lot of deliveries from this store, and was like cool, I'll order food sometimes on the way, and get it when I pick up other food... Now I'm ready to delete the app.
Big improvement from when last reviewed. Their updates have fixed about every problems there was, except for that it doesn't apply the discount for Wednesday BOGO pizza. It lists the discount on the site but even at checkout it doesn't apply, but rather wants to charge full price. Other than that- largely improved (but be careful when pressing the "back" arrow on your phone: it will take you back further than you'd probably like.)
Not exactly user friendly. At some point it works, and you rack up some points. But then, it stops working. Like a few weeks ago, when I try to use my birthday promo for a free sandwich. Conveniently, the app wouldn't work, claiming some kind of GPS error preventing it from redeeming. So I wind up buying my lunch, and then a few weeks later it tells me all my points are about to expire because I haven't been by anytime lately. Well fine then. I'll go somewhere else. 😔
Watch your receipt for a service fee. I noticed one on my last purchase and have no indication what it's for. I have an email out to Schlotzsky's asking about this, but I've sent unanswered messages to the company before and am not entirely hopeful of getting a response. If the fee is for use of the app, I'll quit using it. I'll also be watching other apps I use frequently. Update: confirmed via Schlotzsky's staff. They charge a service fee each time the app is used to order and pick up.
