So here's my honest take on Scripps News. I've tried a bunch of news apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The live video coverage is great for catching major breaking stories, and I like how you can personalize the content. The design is clean and it's easy to navigate. On the downside, the ads can get intrusive and the recommendation algorithm could use some work - it doesn't always surface the most important news. But for a free app, it's a pretty good option if you want an alternative to the big name news apps.

Description

Been using the Scripps News app for a couple months now. It’s basically a free news app that lets you watch live breaking news and get updates from all around the country. Pretty solid if you’re into staying on top of current events.

Here’s what you can do – there’s a feed of the latest news stories, you can stream live video coverage, and you can even customize the topics you care about. It’s got a nice clean look and the content is pretty well-curated. Took me a bit to figure out some of the features but overall it’s user-friendly.

Look, if you want a reliable way to get news on the go, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – there are some ads that can get annoying if you don’t pay. But it does the job and it’s free, so worth checking out if you’re into that kind of thing.
