I paid for the pro version and I can't use it anymore. Either incompetent developers or company. Take your pick.
Reviews for Seconds Pro - Interval Timer
← Back to Seconds Pro - Interval Timerawesome app for putting together great workout routines. flexible and easy to us.
Simple but effective app. I have been using Seconds for years and the pro upgrade is worth it. Making custom timers is simple. Can export them and share with others as well. Audio countdowns are great. There's probably more to this that I haven't even tried yet, but basic functions always work well for me. I recently had issues after changing phones and repurchasing, the pro upgrade, and customer service was patient, helpful and responsive within a few days. Highly recommend.
Great workout timer. I wish it had dark mode, but other than that it's perfect.
got the paid version since it was highly praised by some friends using iPhones only to see that it is lacking many featues found on the iOS version for no apparent reason such as a stopwatch, being able to add a pause when switching sides etc. it still works but if you know what iPhone users get you feel somewhat fooled, especially since before the updates this year it wasn't updated for multiple years therefor feeling abandoned
I paid for the pro version. the app is now not allowing me to use it, saying I need to upgrade. the option to upgrade says "upgrade unavailable." the app is unusable. and I paid for it.
I have used this app as a coach to run conditioning and plyometric sessions and for myself on interval runs and at-home spin classes. I cannot recommend this enough.
I paid once, then a few years later they wiped my account, deleted all my timers and refused to respond to any emails. Terrible support.
I am a PRO user and it's worth the price, this is the best and most flexible timer i've ever used. Just one thing: It needs better battery optimization because 10 to 15 minutes of use consumes about one third of the battery!
Given enough time, a monkey could write Shakespeare. The key to an effective workout is timing. Seconds keeps me on track with a great user interface and works perfectly with my Spotify so my vibe is taken on track. Must-own app for fitness.
I used to love this a app. I was hoping for new features and more timer variations like AMRP etc. All in One Solution 😉 I did miss an opportunity (optional) to add a workout description. Years later, there is still no backup sync like Google Drive possible. Android users are still unable to do a simple backup as Apple users can when switching phones. No new features in 2025. I downloaded this app again to see if they made any improvements, and I still don't see an easier backup option. 😒
I do not use it for sports and exercise but as a productivity app. If I need to allot a specific amount of time to work on something before moving on to my next commitment this helps me stop on time eliminating the risk of falling into hyperfocus and continuing to work. I use the option to have a halfway beep to help keep me aware of the passage of time. It is also perfect for anybody who uses the pomoduro technique - use the custom timer settings to specify work and break intervals.
I've known about this app for a couple of years and it is not only the best, but (since my research over a year and a half ago,) the only meaningful option in this area. The voice prompts alone are worth the ticket price, and as memory serves, the app is now much more intuitive and flexible than it was when I looked at it on the basis of reorganizing and editing your programs. Am using Seconds solely for a core body workout from the Tapp Brothers (small plug there, just a fan) and it's worth it!
Just an FYI to other users, even though there is no IMPORT option in the menu, clicking on a workout file or link in your phone will give you the option to open it in Seconds Pro, which will then import it automatically. To the Dev: would like to see a dark mode for the app when a workout isn't running. Maybe YouTube Music integration as well (or whatever our default is).
Generally easy to use and works well. The problem I have is with the tedious pop ups, like the 'rate this app!' pop up after every workout. It also has a pop up once you try to exit the timer you're on... Are you sure you wish to exit this timer? I can't find any way to turn this off. Finally it will open the first timer I made every time after launch, regardless of which timer I click on. I only use this for HIIT at the beginning of my strength training. I use the app for 15-20 minutes per workout with two timers. The annoyance factor for these issues varies depending on the day, but let's just say this is a timer that won't just get out of your way. It asks unnecessary questions, makes weird mistakes, and carries the unabashed needs of its makers.
Very useful. Wish it lowered my music playing in the background when it's talking. I does on my daughter's iPhone, but not on my Android. I bought a long instrumental song MP3 on Amazon, and it will play that itself and lower the volume during the messages. Or now that I remember all the exercises, I can play my own songs outside this app, and it's not that big a deal that the messages are a little hard to hear. I had to watch a video on you tube to figure out how to setup my exercises. Happy.
Really useful app. I use it for many of my exercises, especially for running/walking intervals. Love the copy/paste function and the countdown. My only problem is that it tends to crash and not save/resume a timer when I navigate away from it (for example, when creating a timer, if I change to another app to reference what I need to add to the timer; or when using a timer and navigate away to respond to a text or change my music). Other than that, it works great and would highly recommend.
This app has kept me on track with my workouts! I can workout anywhere and anytime as long as I have my phone. Several varieties of workouts can be programmed into Seconds Pro, along with customized sets and set lengths, rest times, and even custom colors! The voice announces what's next and counts down the last few seconds at the end of each set. I haven't even explored all the features, but nonetheless I love this app!
Fantastic app. Totally customizable or use the pre-made routines. Can be used for any exercise routine that needs a timer. Voice on reads your next exercise. Voice off you read yourself. Alarm on or off. Customize each exercise with a color of choice. I do HIIT and use a different color for each kind so from a distance I can see what type of exercise is coming next. Every exercise can be set individually with time, color, etc. Different routines for each day of week can be created as well.
Pretty good. I was trying to find a tool that I could use for creating my own yoga and meditation sequences. Got tired of YouTube doing yoga from YouTube videos, wanted something where I could do a silent meditation during certain poses, and didnt want to deal with bad audio that is common in YouTube videos, or an instructor that has you do something on one side of the body for 2mins, then they do the other side in 1min. Anyways, this tool is pretty good overall.
