Reviews for Shipt: Order Grocery Delivery

keep it real

The app doesn't work! It takes me 2 days to put in an order. Constantly freezes up. I'll get a couple items in my account, then it freezes up and i have to log out, wait a couple hours, log in, get a couple more items in my cart, locks up, etc etc.... I have used it once. And once i actually completed my order, somebody showed up on time with my grocieries. Now, i have been filling my cart, over the last couple days, with same damn thing. The app sucks! The person who arrives on time is great.

It's not a bad service but they require a monthly subscription, even if the only available time is same day. There's no way to just do a one time purchase, I was given no option to skip or not sign up. Instacart is essentially the same idea with more stores available, without requiring a monthly fee to use the service, even for same day delivery. Just a little disappointed. I thought it would be better 🤷‍♂️

App 9/10; total experience 8/10. The app has bugs occasionally but overall pretty solid. I'd appreciate the ability to set delivery instructions for my house so I don't have to remember to select them every time. Where Shipt needs to improve is review and refinement of items in the stores. There are items that have been listed in Shipt for ages that the store hasn't carried for a year. If there were a way for users and shoppers to flag such items, there'd be less back-and-forth texting needed.

I am a Shipt shopper. I enjoy shopping for my customers. I found that it's best to shop at stores you frequent. Also, I try to make sure orders are within reason from the store I am shopping at. I have also found it helpful to include pictures when substituting items for a customer. Additionally, the scan feature will sometimes mark an item as unrecognizable. This needs to be corrected. It happened three times during two separate orders.

App functionality is great, the user interface is just fine, and I was given ample warning when my order was going to be late. My issue is with their billing department - I made a single purchase for a total of $77.77 and was billed 3 times for 77.77. I contacted Shipt Customer Service with the issue and screenshots of my bank account, they said they'd handle it but only refunded me once. So in the end I'm out nearly 80 dollars extra. No thanks, I'll stick with Instacart.

I've used it twice so far. Pretty cool app and idea. Very easy to pick items, does a good job of listing discounts and store deals. Allows you to leave notes about products, and communicate with your shopper. My only complaint, my first shopper didn't do a good job of picking my fruits and veggies. maybe just a little training for shoppers on how to properly pick those items. other than that, love it.

The app works fine. I would not recommend the Shipt service though. If you don't receive items, or receive incorrect/damaged items, you can request a credit in the app. HOWEVER, the credits expire in 90 days. So, let's say, your shopper fails to deliver half of your order totalling 30ish dollars. Your can only get a credit and may just lose that money if you don't use it. It takes days for customer service to get back to you with a form response that will likely not answer your questions.

Will not let you cancel trial memberships online or through app. Expect hold times of over an hour, if they answer at all. In response to Shipt, you are incorrect. I took the steps that are outlined to cancel but it was not an option. I signed up through target and the target trial didn't show up on my account on the app... so I left with having to call and wait on hold. Check your systems, if it was that easy, i would have done it.

This app has gotten ridiculous. Not only do they want you to pay $100 for your annual membership, they also upcharge pretty much every product by unreasonable amounts. Also, now you can't set up any kind of pick up or delivery (I've been trying for the last 3 days with no luck). I downloaded Walmart's FREE app and was able to set up a time within 48 hours and my 30 product order was approximately $25 cheaper. I'm DONE with shipt.

While this app is incredibly convenient, in my experience, over 50% of the time my shopper gets something wrong. Missing item, wrong item, etc. Errors in your order are very common. Also, after using the app for nearly two years I can count on my hand how many times I made an order and something wasn't out of stock. You'd think that the listing on the app/website would accurately correspond to what is actually available in the store, but that's not the case.
