If I could put no stars I would! They are very strict, I literally was doing a bunch of orders for them on 06/16/25, and after my route they deactivated my account removing me permanently from there platforms. They have an hour window for you to make it to the store, complete the shopper or pick up order, and make it to the customers house before the hour is over. That's a lot in an hour so be mindful of your time picking up an hour window route....

Shipt order system is something I would not recommend. You receive order notifications 20 minutes before delivery is expected, with an expected shopping and delivery time of 1 to 3 hours needed to shop and delivery, regardless of your current location. You are not giving any forgiveness for doing any orders within the next 10 to 20 minutes. You are immediately going to be fired because ratings are 100% or nothing. Automatic firing system regardless of customer fraud, or incorrectness of the app.

Signed up with Shipt and was deactivated within weeks over a minor drop in stats. I completed their retraining course, which they claimed would help, but it meant nothing. No real warning, no chance to improve. I was new, learning fast, and even had preferred customers. Shipt doesn’t support its shoppers—one mistake and you're out. Ratings can be biased, and there’s no appeal system. Feels unfair and automated. Better options exist. Be careful. Proceed with caution.

The shopping experience can delay your delivery if customer chooses lots of items that are hard to find. like girls jewelry, and clothing items as the stores constantly reset items once stock depleted and new items arrive. However, shopping for groceries is pretty straightforward and pretty seamless. The shopper support is in need of training/information on how to handle most common issues, although they are better than instacart. Some customers don't tip, as they are not required upfront.

great app, good Pay, I just wish the offers were available sooner. they came a little less than an hour ahead and has to be shopped and delivered within the next hour. if there's traffic getting to or from the store or the customer, your gonna be late. and there's no grace period. But it's the best paying gig job I've tried so far.

Shipt allows customers to abuse the platform and punishes drivers for the subsequent low ratings. It doesn't matter how long you work for Shipt or keep a 5.0 rating, a customer only has to fraudulently claim "missing item" to get a refund, no questions asked. Then the customer rates low to seem legit. Additionally, Shipt does not tell which item was reported missing or provide a way to send evidence. Scummy business!

This is the only gig app that I know of that doesn't include tips in the offer card. This is 2025; gas is $3.50/gallon, and operating expenses are only getting higher. We, as Independent Contractors need to know exactly what our total pay is going to be for a job. We shouldn't be forced to gamble on whether or not we get a tip after spending time shopping for 35 items, then travelling 5 miles to the customer. Also, provide the option to add customer notes after the delivery has been completed.

I tried this ad for 2 days worked 6 hours each. first day I made $16 second day I made $25. I never got a tip. each order I did it was 30 minutes earlier. and I also found stores doesn't know how to help you with shipt check out for prepaid. I am not interested in trying it for a third day unless I see a tip. otherwise it's not worth driving. 15. mi shopping for 30 minutes. going another 10 mi to get $9

Good way to make extra money if you need it bad BUT they've gone down significantly on pay (you'll use more gas than what you make if you take just anything), say you can dispute late drop offs but they'll deny it, people steal and rate you bad and Shipt does nothing, bundle multiple orders so they can pay you the price of 1, don't always notify you first of you your preferred member orders or bundle them, and dont give orders during promo really. Good customer service and the app works well.

Good pay is a gamble with this delivery platform. Unlike other delivery apps, the tip is not shown ahead of time, and often, the customers will not tip. If you keep a ledger of your customers that tip versus those that do not and you like gambling, this app may work for you for a time. Beware, though. They are super strict, and if a better offer comes after you have already scheduled a few, tough. If you cancel, even before you start shopping to get a better offer, they will deactivate you

I gave this app alot of praise and recommendations on how good it was to work for. Until they deactivated me account. They would say a delivery is going to one city, but it would actually be a whole other location. so after accepting then having to cancel multiple delivery's, they deactivated my account. No reasoning or help from support. Do not work for this company, terrible customer support! They will not help or fix issues you may have with as a driver

Great app Good way to earn money only things I really don't like much is that the payments for each job are not as high as they first are when you start being a shopper. Also some products are listed in the wrong aisle. And there shouldn't be a time frame when you are shopping for clothes for customer because items are usually out of stock. Also time frames shouldn't be on orders that have items that are locked behind a case because it usually takes forever to get a worker to come unlock stuff

please stop updating the app without testing it out and making sure it works properly for all types of phones. please stop trying to be like other delivery apps. please stop taking up too much data. you were not like this when I first started when we had less problems. you are updating but not improving and not taking into consideration feedback of the workers.

They dont pay enough!! Also too much control is given to the customer...the ratings are not fair plus they want you to contact the customer for every little thing, which is time consuming. Customers don't tip well and you will spend days waiting for a decent offer. With so many other Gig Apps available, Shipt is one of the last on the list

I'm rating this app 1 star not because of malfunction issue but because of how unreliable, ignorant, dismissive, and rude employees that work at Shipt are. I enjoyed shopping for customers & the delivery part also. I had close of a perfect 5 star rating in the shopping. There was a few incidents when I delivered packages that maybe items weren't packed properly and couldn't deliver. That caused my rating to fall. Why have the option to return them if its going to still affect us? makes no sense

They hardly offer orders, just open a few metro orders, but they're always like 15+ miles away if you want to deliver them. In the rare circumstances they do offer an order within the zone I'm scheduled for, they deliberately offer one in another group of businesses from my current location, so usually on the other side of the zone. Meaning, if I'm currently within a mile or so of a few stores, they hardly ever meet me with an offer that would be logical for me to accept. Those miles add up.

its gotten so much better. I still wish you would change 1 thing or give us the option. the "found" or "not found" buttons. please reverse the location. when shopping, to scan, most use left hand to hold the phone and right hand to hold item to scan. its really hard to reach across the phone with thumb to hit "found." be 100 times easier if the found button was on the left side. but I will say, the app functions a lot better than in the past.

Glitches constantly! Sending messages is hit or miss, multiple times a day I clear my cache, turn off/on my mobile data, hard close the app (at least 8-10times in a 9 hour work day), reset my phone, I do everything that support has told me and nothing seems to help. I don't call anymore because I know the process step by step. If I ever add a third order to my bundle,my app begins to move in slow motion, taking an extra 10-15 to scan each item, freezes when scrolling. I have a galaxy 24 ultra!

I actually really liked this app to start with. it's better than others on showing exactly what you would be shopping for and where it would be delivered. However, my on-time slipped below 90% (due to multiple factors such as additional requests from customers) and I got an email telling me that it was below 90% and that I could do a course to increase my score. Please do not expect long term work, frequent work, and decent pay. If that's what you're looking for, other delivery companies would be a better option. Shipt is not forgiving. Customer Service sucks, and they cancel your orders without explanation. I just traveled 45 min for a shop, and they pulled the order as I was arriving for no apparent reason. It happens all the time. Such a waste of time and fuel. Get a few bucks and get out!
