It's ok. The free version gives a few signs a day, which is great for a casual learner. It runs through a series of multiple choice and "type the answer" prompts. Each multiple choice had someone signing the sign plus a picture of what the sign is. It has gems and stuff you can buy with them but the app rewards them liberally and there is no reason to use them. One of the signers bounces their hands a lot giving the impression that it's part of the sign but it's not.

I like it, but it says "New lessons are released frequently"... and that is, very sadly, very untrue. My sons and I have done every lesson, and would like more! General improvements would be great, too, like more information, knowing what we're earning/how those things work, and not having the same two unused-word alternatives for every "signed sentences" lesson...

Love the app. It's got a few issues here and there with the descriptions being wrong, or the answer is incorrect. But the biggest issue I have, is that I paid for a full year and can't access it since my phone broke and had to get a new one. Same email logged in, same phone number, even moved the SIM card to this one, but alas I can't get to my membership.

This app is wonderful. I love that they have a dictionary available and I find the lessons informational and just just the right length. They're not so long that it's hard to retain the information but not so short that I find myself getting the feeling that things are moving too slowly and I'm learning nothing. I would absolutely buy it if they had shorter pay periods. I wish I could pay $5/mo. vs the $60 in one big chunk. I'm sad my trial period is running. I really liked it. :/

This app is easy to use, mostly. The lessons cost money, but they do have a free lesson that is refreshed every 24 hours so you see more signs. I believe it'd be nice if you could add words to your mastered list, because when practicing words that I know, that weren't on a lesson, I have to search up the word(s) to check if my signing is correct. If this can be added, or any other improvements, I will update my rating to 4/5 stars. If I get a monthly pass for other lessons, I'll review that too.

This app has a lot of potential. I think the developers should look towards other language learning apps for inspiration. My biggest suggestions would be to incorporate more full sentences into the lessons; have a pt. 1 for learning the terminology and a pt. 2 for forming sentences with them. I'd also recommend improving on the "flashcards" section. A way to practice learned terms is an excellent idea, but it could go more in depth (such as sentences) and be much more difficult. Great app so far

It has nice visuals to follow, but it limits you to one lesson per day and they're pretty short lessons with 5 or so new words each day. You don't get to pick your lesson, it randomly chooses one; so it sucks if it gives you a lesson you've already done twice before. It also has some descriptions paired with the wrong words so it makes it really confusing at times. You can review lessons you've already completed at anytime and you can search for words, but there's only one version of each word.

those saying you "have to pay" clearly didn't use the app for more than a few minutes, because you get a free course each day. you only pay if you want the lessons IMMEDIATELY. learning in a slow pace is a better for me. short bursts of words, with visuals and a variety of quizs really helps me understand a lot more than any other teacher or book has ! plus Im always able to go back and requiz myself on old words and look up words in the dictionary. not sure what the bombs and things are, though

If only the flashcards had a mixed option where you could practice several genres at once, & that you either had to choose between 3 answers or write it in, instead of "Do you know this sign?" W/ yes or no. It defeats the purpose of them. It's also annoying when you don't want/can't pay for a membership & you have to wait every 24 hours for 1 very short, less than 5 min lesson that is completely randomized in which case sometimes you have to guess at signs that you may not have learned yet.

I love that It is filled with several words that you can learn. I don't like that I only have a few opportunities to use or interpret these words in full sentences. There are some lessons where you CAN interpret a sentence but its not the best. Some of the words I have not learned yet, they don't teach sentence structure, and sometimes the app is actually wrong about what the interpreter is saying. I do love the large amount of information at the tip of my fingers but this app is not perfect.

I've been using this for 2 weeks now, and I've already learned so much! I only use the free version, but you still get a daily lesson. I love that you can do extra studying because that really helps solidify the signs in my brain. However, the camera AI isn't very good and sometimes doesn't pick up correct signs, or will say I did a sign when my hands weren't even up. Also, a couple of the sentences have the sign for cookie, but say it was hamburger, which needs to be fixed. Overall, love it!

Since the last update, many videos don't load making it impossible to guess at some of the lessons. Before the update, this app was five stars all the way. The lessons are easy to understand, the format it great, and I've learned a number of signs. I've considered getting the full version, but if the videos don't load, it's not worth the price.

This is a great way to learn a handful of words at a time. Its easy to pause & pick up where you left off. Unfortunately, the review questions and flashcards come in the same order, so if you simply remember the order of new words you just repeat 2xs and your done. It also overuses orange & apple as options in the part where you choose what word is being signed. Which makes it obvious what the correct word is. It just seems like they used the same algorithm for every single problem.

Excellent for a free app, bite size lessons with the ability to practice unlimited without ads! Fantastic! My only thing is the videos are on a loop and sometimes it's hard to see when the start and stop is. And I think some of the videos are cut poorly so the sign starts or stops in the wrong place. Sometimes there are videos of different people doing the same word and they do it differently without explanation. Great free app, just needs a little work before I pay.

The signs are, as far as I know, about 99% correct. I can't remember the word but there was one time it was inaccurate. I was excited to see there was a flash card section, but it requires you to go through their dumb lessons first. They give you one free lesson a day, which means the ability to practice your signs is locked behind a long wait. This app's ASL dictionary is great, but I hope they remove the unnecessary restrictions on flashcards.

I really enjoyed this app it has helped me very much. I have learned all 648 signs they have currently on the app. I would give a fifth star if they posted when they are adding more lessons. I'm paying monthly for things I've already learned. update: I was told there were going to be more lessons added last month in May. It is now June, and there have not been any more additions to the lessons. I paused my subscription, so I won't be charged while I wait. also, I removed a star.

HIDDEN PAYWALL Amazing looking app, clear signs, and a clear progression. Fun and varied games to test yourself against. And even an easy searchable dictionary But over 90% of the app is behind an unshiftable paywall. 5-6 dollars a month. Far cheaper than a tutor, but more than some can Pay into something that they may fail to use, or loose access to. There is no lifetime option, one that I would have been happy to pay for, nor is there an ad ridden version, which I would again be happy to use.

The idea of the app is great, but there are a lot of flaws and things to improve upon. 1st it being free shouldn't mean the bare minimum and only being able to practice 1 time a day. It really doesn't help with remembering the next time. 2nd I did the thing for where you sign to the camera and even though I didn't do quite a few of the signs somehow I got them correct. It would also be helpful when they are signing what your sentence is saying that it wasn't blocked with what is on the screen.

this app is pretty cool. HOWEVER, the more I learn the more I see that when they are introducing signs, there are so many with extraneous movements. For example...east...she moves the e sign east and then scratches her nose. or for city...she does the sign twice...or maybe you are supposed to flap your hand back and forth 5 times. This truly affects the ability of a beginner to learn sign appropriately. im looking for a better app. also the sentences are incorrect. or not clear. bad all round

Using it for free currently. Can only do 1 random free lesson per day, which you ironically can't go back and review after that day, even after you've done it. The dictionary is great so far from what I can tell and the finger spelling also. Sign words and flash cards are pretty much the same and the sign sentences only give me the same few over and over despite doing the free lessons and getting more vocabulary.
