I've used this app going on 4 years now and still love it. Keeps all my progress in order and allows me to reference previous lifting sessions down to the particular lift. The app allows me to keep notes on any given lift which is handy for why a particular lift could be off. The timer keeps me honest on rest times and is just another key feature. I strongly recommend this app for anyone that's into tracking or just simply forgets the weight they trained with the session before.
Reviews for Simple Workout Log PRO Key
← Back to Simple Workout Log PRO KeyEasy to use, tracks my progress perfectly. It tracks my reps, the amount of weight that I last used for a particular exercise, and it does it all in a app that doesn't have a huge learning curve. I am able to customize my own exercises. What else can I say, it is "SIMPLY" the Best!!
The app does not track dates correctly and adds new workout entries to those of prior workouts so you end up with new sets on a prior workouts and no record of today's workout. Exercises state "last completed never" even if you have performed the exercise many times before. Also needs to be updated with larger buttons. These tiny buttons are a joke.
Been using this for a few weeks now. Love the app. It was a little confusing at first because I have been tracking my workouts in a log book and didn't know how to see history fast. Now that I took the time to learn what all the buttons do it proved itself to be useful as a log book replacement. Cons. 1 the time reset button is too close to the go to next exercise.
I love this app. Been using it for probably 8 months. It works amazingly well. I bought the unlocked version just to support the developers cuz i want them to continue working on it. The only little glitch I find is that it doesn't always keep perfect track of when some workouts were completed. I think this has to do with supersets...
I like the app a lot. Made it very easy to keep track for progressive overload. Only criticism I'd give is the "analysis" graph only tracks how many exercises completed. There's no consideration for intensity. Maybe add a line that averages the total volume, and relative intensity. Or just a line for each. Thanks.
I use this app at the gym to keep track of my routines and weights. One feature of this app that I find incredibly motivating is how it adds up the total weights lifted. I look forward to seeing it. I think it would be really neat if there was a way to share routines with other people (workout buddies) through Bluetooth or something. I screen shot my workout summary to track my progress and share it. The calendar tool is great too for detailed review and those of us who forget to take recovery d
Threw away my notebook and carry my phone around in the gym. Great alternative to Excel and plotting. You can jump forward and back years before and see everything you did with 'Total Weight Lifted', total reps, notes, etc. Easy entry during workouts, export/import to a csv file. I like the built in timer beteen sets so you don't rest too long.
Almost perfect. Back on the 90's, there was a workout app called GymBuddy, but it was discontinued about 15 years ago. This is the first time I found an app as easy to use and customize. Update-still love it, but if developers are reading, a couple of things, enable swiping left and right between exercises in routine, and counterweight as an exercise type. Update, I had to change phones, I uploaded workouts to cloud after making an account, and it all came back to app on new phone.
Simple and easy to use. Too say this is the BEST log of workouts would not do it justice. You can add your own exercises, not stuck in someone else's box. You can view history, by exercise, You can add notes for each excercise or overall. Easy summary, today's summary or by months. Chart graphs,by weight, time, reps+more...and so so much more. Exactly what I was looking for. Simple, easy and not hard to use.
good, simple, record keeping. great for recording workouts and it keeps a history of each exercise so you can look back away what you did before. it makes graphs of progress. it has a very simple web interface which makes it easy to create new exercises. it isn't fancy, but that means the program doesn't get in the your way when you enter your workout
Love this app. Has been fantastic for keeping track of my workouts. Tried it for a bit and just bought the pro version. Well worth the money. I only wish that it automatically synced back and forth with the web version instead of having to manually backup and then download when done making changes through the web browser. This is a minor complaint. Overall, I have never found a workout tracker I have used or liked as much as this one.
Love this app for tracking workouts! So much easier that dealing with notebooks, and I never have to transcribe my data because of the CSV export option. The only weakness of this app is that it's impossible to view the history of other exercises while you have one exercise in progress, but that's a small thing really; I guess one other thing is the fact that it uses like scroll wheel input to set timers, which is a real hassle, would be better to have numeric input I think. Well worth the paid version IMHO in order to get rid of the ad banner at the bottom of the screen.
Best Fitness Tracking App. I've tried ones that cost money, and they were just not what I needed. I don't want something that overcomplicates it. I wanted to add the excercise I do into catorgies. I wanted to track my progress. This app does all of that. It's perfect. I recommend it to everyone. I did pay the $3 or whatever it was to remove ads. It's a great app that meets all my needs and expectations. Thank you.
Wonderful app! One feature request would make it perfect: It would be really great if you could switch between lbs and kgs for weight entry, from one session to the next -- yet have the weights recorded and displayed consistently. You'd still have to pick a unit for display (i.e. the unit for displaying all history and graphs). So, if you chose kg for display, history would show actual kg for the days you entered in kg, and converted lbs->kg for days you entered in lbs. For those of us who work in multiple gyms with both kg plates and lb, this would be perfect.
The summary lists the exercises last performed, but does not note the routine completed. With 30 routines I have a separate list of where I am. If the routine name was included in the summary, that solution would make this a 5 star app for me and eliminate the second list. I've also have categories for each machine with associated exercises, would be nice to calibrate the incremental to each category, say 2.5 or 5 lbs, the only option's are 1 or .1 pounds which defaults for all categories.
I used the free one for so long, and it worked so good I wanted a way to give back. Very happy with the app. It does exactly what I need it to do without a bunch of extra bloated features I wouldn't ever use. I can track my workouts easily, and keep an eye on my progression. Being able to see a graph of my 1RM keeps motivation high.
I have tried in excess of 30 fitness apps for general purpose weightlifting. This is easily the best one for a simple way to plan and track workouts. The UI is actually well thought out. No account is needed to use the app. No basic features are locked behind a subscription. Worth the five bucks to get rid of ads. The developer deserves it.
Does everything's I need for logging my workouts. Easy to use user interface. I tried three other logging apps before this one. They were a lot harder to use. Lately, I've been poking at other buttons that I haven't ordinarily been using, and I've discovered many other features that I'm finding useful. The "Analyze" feature, found in "Setup", is very informative in what it shows you about your exercises and your progress. I think "Analyze" should be more accessible because of its usefulness.
same as free, but the ads are gone. They sometimes blocked visibility, so I'm glad to be rid of them, and the app is PERFECT for my needs, so I'm happy to support the developer. One feature request: ability to set units of measure per exercise. I use miles for walking/cycling, but my ski machineeadures distance in km.
