Lots of sounds to choose from, still trying to figure out why they suddenly stop playing in the middle of the night though. When i start playing the sounds again the timer i set is still going, so the app didn't crash, the sounds just stopped playing for whatever reason?? No other apps running in the background and my phone didn't restart....

Insanely good app being able to adjust the volume on each and every sound is such a great feature. A few of the sounds aren't seamless loops but most are, for stuff like the music selections they aren't long tracks. Cafe was one of my more favored tracks until I just couldn't listen to it anymore. Very solid variety, I've been using it for years and besides of rain&thunder that my brain can't map and memorize, *more* variety would go a long way. Top tier free ambience, eat that tinnitus!

I had been using a different Sleep Sound app for years, and they recently added a annoying "Discover" tab you are forced to see even if you pay to remove ads, the sound quality seemed to get worse as well, and you couldn't control it from the drop down menu anymore. So I gave this app a try and am very glad I did! The sound quality is nice, it's easy to use, and it doesn't have incredibly invasive ads that don't go away even if you subscribe.

This app is wonderful. It has a lot of sound choices to choose from. You can combine a bunch of sounds too and adjust each volume! (For instance I like the car noise 🔊 with rain🔉) Sometimes I switch it up depending what I want to fall asleep to!! The only issue is that the sound tends to "blip" or "skip" alot. It doesn't bother me a whole lot, but it still does.

I've been using this app for a couple of weeks, and i honestly do sleep much better when it's running. I like that I can mix my own sounds and create a rainy camping sort of soundscape. The only thing i dont like about it is that without premium, my app keeps stopping my sound randonly in the middle of the night once in a while. And the sudden absence of sound tends to wake me up

Used to work great. Recently though, something broke and now the app will stop completely (not just pause) exactly once before needed to be re-opened at some point in the night. I use this to drown out my nocturnal upstairs neighbor, so I wake up immediately when this happens. Aside from that, the app is great. Nice clean UI, good sounds that are individually adjustable and able to be mixed and matched and then saved as a custom setting.

I love SS!! I have issues turning my brain off when it's time to sleep. If I'm not distracted I will lay in bed thinking for hours! SS has hundreds of free sounds to ease you to 😴 & it has a timer to turn it off so you don't drain your battery. I set my timer for 1 hr & I have never been awake to hear the sound shut off. I highly recommend SS, I've been using it for years 👍❤️

Once a night, about 4/7 nights each week, the volume suddenly increases to maximum volume at a random time and wakes me up. The app also occasionally shuts itself off randomly, AND it sometimes mutes itself while still technically running. These issues started in January 2025 and are currently more frequent than when they started.

very fun and relaxing app. you can customize the relaxing sounds (like add piano music to the beach sounds) and aren't bombarded with prompts to upgrade. there is a fairly good selection of sounds for the free version. there are ads for apps and stuff but they don't have audio so there is no disruption in the relaxing sounds.

This is great in concept with lots of sounds you can mix, but fails in execution. Sounds quit and change for no obvious reason and it stops too soon even though set not to be managed based on the battery. If it were reliable, I'd have paid for lifetime service and given it 5 stars. But it doesn't do the one thing required--play so you can fall asleep.

I really like this app, especially for making your own mixes. Even with the free version, you can make a wide variety of mixes. It's very simple to use and has a pleasing layout. The only thing I do wish it had was more customizable timers. I would like to be able to set a time for the current sound/mix that's being played to stop and/or fade out and have an option to set a time to have another sound/mix start and/or fade in.

Great app! I sleep deeper, and sometimes more, and I am still able to wake up when I need to, a lot easier! The best part is that you can use premium sounds for an ad, and their silent, so you don't blast your eardrums with something you don't feel like buying, and the ads are minimal. This app has great customization features, and it is the perfect app for anyone to use to get better sleep, for any age!

can go into different apps while background sounds are playing, no interruptions, can be put on a timer, phone can be put in sleep mode and sounds still play. you can customize the amount of sounds you want, as well as how loud they are. you have to pay for extra sounds but the selection they have is already pretty wide without paying. would literally pay for the extra sounds just to support the creators.

it lets you create custom soundscapes with lots of options for free, with no time limit. The sound loops are subtle enough that I don't hear the reset, and my mind doesn't fixate on a short pattern. Runs in the background, so it's compatible with sleep tracking apps. Ads are silent, and so far have only popped up after selecting or creating and playing a soundscape. For a free app, it's everything you need in a simple package!

Useful app for making some white noise like sounds while I sleep. All I really use is the rain sound. Update: I have one major complaint. Sometimes, the app works just fine and runs all night. Other times, it stops playing sound every 10-15m or so, which not only defeats the whole purpose but makes it counterproductive for me - I need the noise to drown out other noises that may wake me; and my headphones disconnect and announce this fact when nothing is streaming, potentially waking me.

If I could give more than five stars, I would.This is a fantastic app. set up the sounds that you want.Adjust the volume according to your desire.And just let it play set a timer if you want or just let it go.And wake up to the sound. if, by chance and ad plays, it won't have audio to interrupt your sleep. great app, thanks to developers.

I have tried several different "free" apps, NONE of them are as good as this one! I absolutely love how you can not only choose a sound, but you can customize that sound by adding other sounds to it. It's perfect. Having a timer is great. I absolutely love this sleep app, and I won't need any others, this one is the one for me! 😀 Oh, and the fact that you can save your customized sound for future use?? Awesome. The ads don't bother me either because they do not have sound.

I like the app. It's the closest I've found to my old favourite, Meditation Sleep Sounds, which isn't on the PlayStore any longer. But one thing keeps it from being purchased, and keeps it from being five stars.... the pauses in the sounds. I don't mean it cutting out entire; I've addressed that battery usage issue. I mean it will intermittently cut out for just a split second before resuming. When one is trying to fall asleep, that brief interruption is jarring.

This is the perfect app for JUST white noise, I've tried a lot of them. There's a good number of free sounds, and you can make your own mix also for free. A lot of other apps are doing too much: guided meditations, sleep tracking, yoga, etc. I just want white noise, and to have some decent options not behind a paywall. This one is it! Uncluttered, user friendly, and customizable. I actually paid for the subscription bc I've been using it every night for a couple of years thought it was worth it

Great, though some of the sounds have clear pauses before they repeat the sound bite...wish that was seamless. otherwise very happy. Update: the most recent update is so annoying. I like to listen to the nighttime forest sound, but now there's a daytime bird that chirps throughout. Since this bird is apparently a base sound, the app won't let me turn it off! 😡 NOT happy about that.
