Reviews for Smart Light Smart Home Control

The app seems worth it until you get surprised with the "by the way, you need to subscribe to use" followed by a ridiculous price tag. The app also doesn't show you which smart bulbs are actually compatible—pretty important information. No one should have to pay anything unless all information is provided upfront, especially regarding compatibility with your smart devices. Research before you buy. I hope you find this information useful.

far from intuitive, has ads now, won't connect to my Google home, and now it's got a bug- so I can't even adjust my settings. Don't use this app

appalling. flashing lights in kitchen. cannot cook and can't get the light to stop because it says that it's offline and keeps crashing horrendous.

Only thing that works in this app is the nostop ads. Can find my bulb but after approximately 15 ads will just timeout on the connecting.

buggy app. won't let me change the name of my device anymore and won't let me adjust anything anymore. I can only turn the lights on and off as they are

The app starts by saying it works with any lights, then it says Phillips, Tuya or Other, then it only offers Phillips or Tuya. It apparently won't work with Merkury/Geeni. And getting that far kept interrupting everything with ads.

Giant forced unskippable Temu ad upon first open. Constant forced reminders to upgrade to "premium" app version at $11/mo. Are you serious??? Returning these garbage bulbs so I never encounter this app again.

It won't connect to the Hue Light no matter how many times I try or if I try to reset the light. Very disappointing.

This app only controls Philips Hue and Tuya Smart lightbulbs. Just those brands. Just bulbs. The description is entirely misleading and this app is pointless. I'm not a fan of the Hue app, but at least it's free. *These are notes from my experience with the free trial of their ad-free version; I doubt the one that's flooded with ads is going to be any better.

full of ads. can't switch colors besides setting a scene. then proceeds to get locked at that scene because you only get to try one before they ask you to whip out your wallet again. honestly wouldn't mind paying for a good app but so far it has nothing to show for it and it makes me more than uncomfortable to buy a premium license.

This is the worst product I have ever purchased. Feit Electric is a scam. The app will not even allow me to adjust my light. I can only do so if I pay them more money to use a product I already purchased. I cannot use the dim function at all and any button pressed asks for money or makes tou watch an advertisement. Id give -1000 stars if I could. This is criminal and they need to be hit with a law suit. The box mentions extra purchases nowhere this is blatant false advertisement!!

Searching for "Smart Life" brings up this app as the top, sponsored result. It looks suspiciously similar to the actual Smart Life app, but this one doesn't connect to everything, gives you ads, and tries to charge you money. It's predatory, and I've also noticed that my Wi-Fi is extremely slow every since trying to use it. Wouldn't be surprised if this was malicious.

No family sharing... $20 per phone even if signed in under the same account... Ads with every click... I can't even turn on a light without 6 ads, unless I want to spend another $20 on top of the $25 for the smart bulbs that don't easily mesh with Alexa. I kinda want to return the bulbs and get my money back. Not worth the money spent at all... In fact, we paid $40 too much for $5 light bulbs.

Unusable app. Any high rating is a bot. This app has so many ads you cannot use it at all. If you click on anything an ad pops up if you think about clicking on anything an ad pops up. It is impossible to connect anything because you are now 10 ads deep just trying to navigate the home page. I didn't even get to the first steps to setting anything up because I have been watching the same tik tok ad for the 15th time. Do not download.

If you see 1 star out of 5 on the first few reviews, it should tell you something. How many ads do I have to close before I can get to the menu to add my device??? I closed 7 ads while trying to install and set up my device. Nevermind. I'll find another app that will work, and not have to deal with this nonsense.

Absolutely horrible! I thought the app was asking for a credit card during the registration process, turned out to be an ad that duped me. I immediately got a $34.98 charge on my credit card that I will need to dispute. The ads are full screen and mixed in between registration steps making it very confusing as to who you giving information to. So angry that Feit would allow this, what sumbags.

ZERO STARS!!!!! I got redirected to another app that turns out to be a streaming service that I didn't even finish setting up and now I have a pending $35 charge for it on my credit card. And if that was not enough, I spent an hour trying to connect 1 bulb and kept getting TikTok popups and couldn't get back to the app. Never got the bulb installed so returning them all. Who expects to go through all of this just to install a smart bulb?

needs to be an option to group sets of bulbs together to work together ******************************************************** Dropping this to a 1 star at this point. Applications sends notifications every other hour. Yes, it can be silenced but it's a light app.. You're not making any updates. Still unable to group lights together to sync. You should really get on that.

Don't use this app or buy products that require it. I bought an eightree plug for a light and after downloading the app, navigating all the adds they force on you because I didn't want to pay $4/month or more to be able to turn a light on and off, I finally got it paired. But as soon as I log off the app doesn't work. It also does not work with Alexa, though it says it does. Terrible product, worse app. Spend your time and money somewhere else!!!!!!

I usually give really good reviews, but not this time. This app is pretty scammy. It has a free "limited" version and a premium version. The limited version lets you connect the light bulb, change its color about 5 times, then it stops working completely. Even if you watch the ads. So you are forced to buy premium if you want to change the light more than a 5 times. I would have been fine if they were up front and honest about the fee. But they aren't.
