So here's my honest take on SmoothTrack: Head Tracker. I've tested a bunch of these head tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The head tracking works really well once you get it calibrated, and it makes flying planes or racing cars in sim games feel way more immersive. I will say the setup can be a little tricky at first, and sometimes the tracking can get a bit jittery, but those are minor annoyances. Overall, if you're a sim game junkie, this is a great way to take your experience to the next level.

Description

Been using SmoothTrack: Head Tracker for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control the camera in your sim games just by moving your head. Pretty solid app if you’re into flight sims or racing games.

Here’s what you do: you just fire up the app, point your phone’s camera at your face, and then when you’re playing a compatible game, you can look around by slightly moving your head. And there’s also a calibration tool to get it set up just right. And the movements in the game are magnified so you don’t have to whip your head around to look around.

Look, if you’re into immersive sim games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit finicky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a more natural way to control the camera in your favorite PC games.
