So here's my honest take on Solo - Fretboard Visualization. I've tried a bunch of guitar practice apps and this one's pretty solid. The fretboard visualization is really well done and the exercises are challenging but helpful for improving your note-finding skills. In my experience, it's made me more confident improvising over chord changes. The only downsides are the occasional ads and the fact that it can get a little repetitive after a while. But overall, I'd say it's a great tool for guitarists looking to level up their fretboard knowledge.

Description

Been using Solo – Fretboard Visualization for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you visualize the guitar fretboard and learn scales and chord changes. Pretty solid if you’re into practicing and improving your guitar skills.

Here’s what you do: you can see the fretboard on the screen and it’ll show you things like scales, chords, and intervals. And there’s also a mode where it gives you exercises to work on your note-finding abilities. Took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you’re a guitarist trying to get better at improvising and navigating the fretboard, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – there are ads that can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Great app, it's been helpful so far. Like others, I'm hoping for an update soon that allows for randomised changes to nail every note on the fretboard. Custom changes would...
