So here's my take on Sound Spectrum Pro. I've tested a bunch of audio analysis apps and this one's up there with the best of them. The level of detail and measurement capabilities are honestly impressive - it's got way more features than I'll probably ever use. But for the hardcore sound geeks out there, this is a pretty killer app. The interface is user-friendly enough that even I can figure it out. My only real gripe is the occasional calibration issues and the ads, but neither of those are dealbreakers. Overall, if you need a professional-grade audio analysis tool, Sound Spectrum Pro is definitely worth the download.

Pros

  • Tons of advanced audio analysis features packed in
  • Lightning-fast FFT with crazy frequency resolution
  • Measures all sorts of useful audio metrics like THD+N and RT60
  • Friendly interface is easy to navigate
  • Free to download, no need to pay for the core functionality

Cons

  • Calibration can be a bit finicky at times
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the pro version
  • Probably overkill for casual users who just want basic audio analysis

Description

I’ve been using Sound Spectrum Pro for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you analyze audio signals in real-time – things like FFT, RTA, sound pressure levels, and more. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Here’s what you can do: there’s a super fast FFT that gives you crazy frequency resolution, like 0.05Hz. You can also measure stuff like THD+N, RT60, and noise criteria. It’s got a ton of features packed in, but the interface is still pretty friendly and easy to navigate.

Look, if you’re an audio engineer, musician, or just a sound nerd, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the calibration can be a bit finicky and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a really powerful tool that does the job well. Worth checking out if you need an advanced audio analysis app.

Tried this to measure RT60 of a space. Neutrik A2 analyzer shows 5.7 seconds. This app showed 1.25!!A huge margin of error!

app only showing quick snapshots, looking for rta. constant measurements.. not a few seconds

Excellent features as compared to similar apps. Easy to use but also suitable for engineering applications. Well worth the $.
