Reviews for Strobe Tuner Pro: Guitar Tuner

← Back to Strobe Tuner Pro: Guitar Tuner

Previous user of DaTuner pro until the devs changed from a one off purchase to a subscription of £15/per week!! This app is essentially the same, for a reasonable one-off fee. I do feel like having adjustable sensitivity would be nice, but maybe just needs some getting used to! Works great with my bass/guitar :-)

Gentle suggestions: First it's a great app worth every star as is. But it would be really great given there are so many tunings out there, to save my own tunings so I don't have to pull out Google to find one not represented but wanted would be brilliant. That and ability to add a short comment to each tuning, that way I can tag that particular song onto that random tuning I hardly use and might forget which it was during play. Just suggestions, nothing to reduce stars about. Love it!

Best tuner for Android by far! This tuner is excellent! I have several clip-on tuners and several tuner apps on my phone but this one, hands down beats them all for sensitivity and accuracy. Be sure to read the instructions before diving in and you'll be amazed at how much better in tune you'll sound. Highly recommended!

A very poor quality strobe. The strobe motion is all blurry, and it's way too small. There was an app called "Strobe Tuner", which was excellent, but is sadly no longer available. I bought this because it looked like a new version of that great app - it is definitely not. The strobe is so blurry that it's reduced to a wheel either turning left or right. The original "Strobe Tuner" app had a big strobe in the center of the screen - which was a full circle too. It had many of the same options as this has, and the option change the color of the strobe. Best of all, it was free. I used that app to tune harmonica reeds - it was that good! But this...? This is rubbish, and it's definitely not worth $5.00!

Pro version user review. This is the best tuner download app available. Every feature is useful and there is nothing gimmicky about it. Professional all the way! The free version is fully capable as well. But for the price of a set of strings, the pro version gives you a $200 strobe tuner that puts the old analog Boss stomp box to shame! Pay the extra couple of bucks. It's well worth it👍

The strobe part isn't as stable as the other display showing the note names when tuned to pitch at zero cents off. I don't have a desktop strobe tuner to compare it's accuracy to so I can't be too liable here, but it worked for setting the guitars intonation and now an open G or D sounds as good as, or in tune with, the arpeggios in the second octave. Thank you for your product. I wish I knew how to make stuff for my music projects and for other people.

Really great app. It allows for different visualization options, and it is accurate and intuitive. It's a perfect tuner for my purposes. I not only tune instruments , but also do setups including intonation where fine adjustments require the precision of a strobe, which this does perfectly. With all the junk apps out there it is great to have one I can rely on. Thanks!

It's great, I bought it and I use it a lot. It just needs a few more things , in my opinion. Please add Open D minor tuning for the guitar (DADFAD). I also think there should be a different category for the 12 strings guitars . What if I tune my 12 string in dadfad? What if I want to transpose(capo) on sone fret etc. Maybe also the user could create custom tunings (there are nany other instruments . It would be more convenient than to use chromatic mode).

Can't find a way to adjust the mic's sensitivity levels to respond when trying to tune a low E electric bass string. It will respond to that string when tuning from the 12th fret harmonic note. Hoped plugging a 3.5mm Jack into the phone and into the guitar (a guitar cable w/ a 3.5 mm jack on one end) would respond better but it's not the app's responsibility and fault, it's just a headphone jack so that won't work.Still getting used to the diagram on the top but overall, works like a free tuner

Excellent Application. Worth 100x elsewhere. Saved me a lot of money. I can't afford a regular strobe tuner ATM and I was in the middle of rebuilding my guitar when the virus thing hit. I stumbled across this app that I think most of you could afford. This is the best tuner on the market, especially for the price. I was finally able to properly set the intonation on my Stratocaster correctly. That was the only thing keeping my from completion, since I have partial hearing loss.

This is the best, most accurate and easy to use tuning app! I used to have the analog version a couple decades ago. It's really important to be in tune! This app is a perfect (and much less expensive) replacement. Note that, for the greatest accuracy, I did have to switch over to manual mode. Very nicely done! If you're a musician, you need this!

I've used this app for years. The pro version has tons of tuning installed for almost all stringed instruments and different style tunings for certain instruments as well. GET THIS APP! wow and for some reason after all these years I'm being forced to repurchase this app? why

It seems to be stuck in an endless loop. I got it for free with play pass, when I hit open it pops up and goes to a page that says to use it I have to download it through the Play Store which I already did, it okay it goes back to the Play Store page that says open I hit open and it just keeps doing the same thing over and over and over

I compared it with Peterson Stroboclip and Peterson Strobosoft and I found it to be a few cents off! The cents indication doesn't match the strobe wheel, it shows to be sharp when the wheel stops turning! It is still possible to do set-up's with it but sometimes it jumps around to the point of being irritating! I've been doing luthier work for the past 35 years and have found this one to be pretty good!

If you want to do anything beyond standard tuning, it simply does not work, and barely works for standard tuning to be honest. sometimes it's almost a whole 100 cents off, And the latency is terrible.

Thank you A4Tune labs. I must ask, since you recommended this product (Strobe tuner pro) to me that you look into the functioning of the manual strobe tuner on it, because it does not function the same as your other excellent app 'guitar and violin tuner'. There isn't a way to pick a particular note / frequency and then tune to that, which is how it works in the other app. I'd appreciate if you'd fix the manual tuner as it's a real sore point in an otherwise great app.

Never used a real strobe, but it is incredibly resolute and takes precision movements on the tuners to get close(I don't know if I have ever gotten it dead on)

Works great! Heck of a deal! 4.99 is a bargain. Can never go back to regular tuners. I've been strobed.

Simple but accurate tuner. Works as expected on various phones over the years. It could be a bit better at detecting and sustaining notes at frequencies like the low E, D, or B on Bass. But for guitar and I imagine any instrument with similar octave range, it works perfectly. Doesn't have all the bloat other apps come with just a tuner. Would give 5 stars if it had a better skin for it or even if it let you customize the ui. Still, this is my preferred tuner. It's worth its one-time fee.

Unfortunately, I can only rate this 5 stars. It works very well. Strobes are different, and some folks don't care for them. For that, there's an analog meter feature. I prefer strobes. If users want a sweetened tuning, finding cent values on the www for certain sweetenings on various instruments is certainly an option.
