Great app and very accurate Tuner. Nothing but the best from Peterson.
Reviews for Strobe
← Back to Strobeoutstanding, used it for years. Best tuner out there unless you have strobe...
Great app! Great CSRs. You will love using this tuner.
it's great app for tuning but the fonts for calculating cents are too small
PHENOMENAL! Especially with the plug-in adapter. Greatest Tuner and Tuner App available.
A useful and highly accurate stroboscopic guitar tuner with various sweetened tunings, including for 12-string guitar. Beware of inferior imitations that may collect your private data.
Didn't work well for me, hard to read and didn't seem to track notes well on guitar or bass.
Been waiting for this to return for months! I emailed you guys a while back and asked about it and was told it would be back soon. Glad to see it's back! I already have a Polytune 3 pedal that I use religiously but I thought I'd give this a try anyway.
A Peterson Strobe tuner user for 50 years (hard to believe) starting with the big green box in 1975. I've owned almost every Peterson tuner since. The sweetened tunings were a godsend for pedal steel players like me. The clip-ons are great too for my 12 string and mandolin. Got the iPad version too. But thanks very much for the android version. I'm hoping for a few more sweetened tunings for android. Thanks!
It's worth the price for the accuracy and portability!! Super precise and accurate fine strobe tuner app, but we need more variety of sweetened tunings and more additional features on future updates. Thank you, Peterson!! Greetings from the Philippines
I downloaded the app expecting it to be, at least, functional as other free apps from Playstore but was immediately disappointed. Strobe was randomly flickering, not picking any notes...basically non-operational. I had Fender free app which was working fine so I doubt it was my phone causing issues. I hope Peterson makes an effort to make, at least, basic tuning mode functional in future updates. Reply: tried noise filter without much luck, doesn't seem to make difference
I almost requested a refund but eventually accidentally found the microphone boost setting. What design genius uses a microphone icon for the settings area and doesn't include any of the microphone settings there? Instead you get there by touching the incredibly tiny hitbox over the db meter. I always got the transpose options . This is a nice shortcut if you know it is there but why wouldn't you have a line for the same things in the whole settings area? You lose money from this.
I just bought this and and figured I'd give it a shot. So far I'm not all that happy with it. It seems to use the microphone on my Android to listen for the strings. The target notes are all over the place. They bounce around and it's extremely difficult to zero in on the correct note. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and I didn't really see a user guide. At this point I would not recommend it.
FINALLY FOR ANDROID! It's the five star review that is needed for a wonderful app already created for iOS that was transferred very well for Android. It works, and there is no bugs to squash at the moment. They did a fantastic job. I can't wait to continue my practice with this tuner!
Excellent app, far better than any other mobile app out there, and I've tried many of them. I have the Peterson bench model for workbench and the clip on in my guitar case, but this is an awesome tool to carry with me everywhere. Very accurate, like all their products, and loaded with goodies!
Auto tuner does not work... D string keeps showing up at A string. Cannot detect E string at all. Jumps around like crazy. Tried finger and pick. Tried to turn on mic boost and turning it off. Can't even get a refund since I tried the app in the past. Thought maybe a pick and testing more setting would help but I got burned giving it a second chance. But most normal scenarios, you can try it and if it doesn't work for ya, just get a refund. Just dont get how this works for anybody tho
I might give it more stars, but I already paid for the previous version, which disappeared from my phone. Very disappointing.
Excellent app! Tuning my 47 string pedal harp can be time consuming and tedious. I wanted a strobe tuner that would give more precise feedback than my current tuner. Strobe by Peterson provides a clear interface that allows me to tune accurately and efficiently. I emailed the developer for additional information. He responded quickly and his suggestions were very helpful. Strobe is a well designed app that works. Money well spent.
Finally, the app I've been waiting for. I'm an avid follower of Peterson Strobe Tuners. I've acquired 6 tuners over the years and this one is as good as the rest. Super simple to use. Start the app then lay the your phone near the instrument amp speaker and tune away. This is just as accurate as the other Peterson Tuners that I have. The price for the app is very cheap. Bottom, line if you go to a gig and forget your tuner this one will save the day. I highly recommend this Peterson app.
Did I miss something? Peterson, the go-to strobe tuner for pedal steel guitar players has released an app that doesn't feature sweetened/tempered tuning for pedal steel? What gives? Everything else appears to function nicely and accurately and in a user-friendly way, but seriously, WOT NO PSG?!? 😮 PS If I did miss something and you can show me where to find a PSG setting I'll be happy to update this review... :)
