My clients love the reminder text. I'm not happy with the November update,I can't book my own clients without them paying a booking fee. I'm already paying a subscription fee. I feel like my regulars shouldn't be paying this fee. The update made the app very slow,so frustrating in this busy season. I've been using stylseat over 10 years ,very disappointed in how there changing. $10 to book an appointment for a client. Your already getting a subscription fee on top of the cc processing fee

StyleSeat is helpful for finding a stylist in the area. But I wish there was a confirmation screen for when you make an appointment. Instead, the reserve button just grays out once you book. As a result of this, I unintentionally booked 5 different appointments and was charged a fee each time. I didn't realize it until I clicked on my appointments and saw them listed. I had to go back and delete all of them and I was not reimbursed the booking fees. Please fix this flaw.

I've used style seat for almost 3 years. The last year it's been awful! App constantly freezes. There's always a charge for my clients. They don't respond to emails and have no customer service to contact. You're charged $35 a month, your client gets $1 booking fee, they take 50% for finding you a client ( even though you found that client), they're charging 20% for a "popular time slot", they charge $10 to book a last minute appointment. This app robs you! I'm switching!

It's cool for finding stylists, but needs some serious work. I booked with a stylist one time. 2 weeks later I see a charge for an appointment I did not make! I was charged $360 for an 8 hour hair appointment. I guess the stylist is able to make an appointment, which will then automatically take money from my account, even without me acknowledging or approving it! This is beyond nuts. I think I'm gonna look into how this can possibly be legal!

I have been trying to resolve an issue for the longest. the only way to contact you all is through email is very unacceptable. You click on "Help Center" it goes to "Web Page not Available".You are charging me a monthly rate than my clients a $1 every time they book with me which is very ridiculous and unacceptable. Yet you can't get any issues resolved at all with you all. I done a client last Friday Dec 27 processed her payment through your system & have yet been paid. THE WORST EXPERIENCE

Styleseat has gotten worse. The problem now is Styleseat is forcing the Professional's clients to have a credit card to book appointments & charges $1 for each booking, while charging the Professionals $35 a month to use the app! Styleseat doesn't have a regard for the freedom of the Professionals. Some Pros don't require their clients to book with a card, creating an option for those who take cash payments and their clients. Freedom to pay by various methods should not be limited. Bad move!

This application is not worth the extra money I pay monthly. I am currently having an issue with the app closing in the middle of a transaction and have lost opportunities to reschedule clients. In addition, If you have an issue, there isn't a phone number to call. I've been using this app for a few years and will have to cancel my subscription if it doesn't get resolved. SO FRUSTRATED! UPDATE 2/16/2021 APPLICATION CONTINUES TO CRASH, NO RESPONSE FROM DEVELOPERS WHEN I REQUESTED CANCELLATION.

It's frustrating that you can't go back and look at the service menu after you've chosen one. If I change my mind about a service I've chosen, and progressed to the appointment screen, I have to exit out, search for the stylist and start all over. Also I can't access my list of favorites so if I save someone, I have to remember their name and search manually for them.

Although a great scheduling app that holds customers accountable for the appointments that they make, the app kind of plays a "shell game" with your money. You'll need a credit or debit card to reserve an appointment, upon which it will automatically show you misleading prompts to prepay, with the gratuitous added in. I've been using the app for about six months, and I was mislead you prepay when I usually pay cash. It's better for the barber.

I'm a professional, and I've had this app since 2016. They've updated the app and changed so much. It doesn't allow me to open the new updated version. But they get my money every month. I have an established clientele and can't see my books. Having to go through my emails, or my clients app to see my books is ridiculous. How do I pay every month, but they don't recognize my email address. It's unacceptable!!!! Ridiculous styleseat. We can't talk to anyone or call. U get paid we DON'T!!!

I'm a long time styleseat user, the app was great when I first started using it. When they started charging a monthly fee($35), I understood and the app really was worth it so I stayed. However I notice now that it takes a while for appointments to populate in the app causing me to double but time slots. There is a very bad delay with notifications of bookings. Now my clients are upset for being charged to book with me. I will not continue using this service.

Really disappointed in the app lately. 1. The booking fee issue, regardless of the "retention" reason, we the stylists already pay a monthly service and have our own loyalty programs. The fact that we were not notified instead notified by our clients is unprofessional. 2. A lot of logging out is happening and unable to check my clients file . I really enjoy the system but I feel like it's starting to take a controlling turn and taking too much of my own way of running my business .

Of you already know what you want and who you want to do it, the app is decent. But, if you are looking for something/someone new, this app is frustrating to use. It allows you to sort by date but then will show stylists who aren't available for the date you want. I shouldn't have to click "book" just to find out they aren't available...Kind of annoying. Same thing with sorting by style.

Clear Money Grab From Loyal Customers!!! USERS BEWARE!! Developer says the extra charges are for the users, DON'T BE FOOLED PEOPLE!! This is an application your Hair Stylist/Barber pays a monthly fee to offer to their clients. Now everyone who uses it has to pay a fee every time they schedule an appointment, previously this was free. I will just call in and schedule my appointments, I'm not paying a fee to this application for something a 30 second call can solve and you shouldn't either!!

I was with this booking app from the beginning. When it was free, the. Went to 30.00 then 35.00no problem. You crossed the line when you started charging my clients $1.00 to book and didnt inform me. I was notified by my clients. Along with a $10.00 fee a client of mines was charged to get an earlier appointment. Also, taking my clients money to hold if they booked out in advance. I am no longer with styleseat I found a new booking site. You lost a lot of business pulling that update.

I have been using this app for years and only had access to the basic plan. I must have attempted the pro at some point and canceled, yet they still were charging me. I reached out to them via email and yet not one response other than a general "we will get back with you within 24 hours". weeks passed and nothing. I had to reach out to my bank and was only able to have refunded a portion of what this platform stole from me.

This app is incredibly deceptive. It doesn't tell you anywhere that the appt time you're selecting will have a 20%+ upcharge because it's a "high demand time slot" until you're just about to confirm. No indication whatsoever until that point (I don't know what the yellow dot means because the upcharge applies to times without it). SO, if you're lucky enough to notice it, you'll have to just try another over and over until you find a time that doesn't charge you an extra $50(!!!). What a scam.

StyleSeat is a ripoff! Seriously, there's a fee for everything. They even take fees out of your tips! I used this app for a year with the premium plan. For 35 bucks a month, I feel like they should've cut me some slack on the fees. I'll give StyleSeat one thing: the clients I've gotten and still have through another booking site. The worst part is that you can't talk to anyone directly, only through chat and email.

No one on the app is vetted, it is common practice for stylists to tag a random location and ask you to go to a second location (don't ever do that ffs), and the use of ai images are allowed so hopefully you have a trained eye. And if a stylist cancels on you the second you pay the 50% deposit, you're on your own, even if you have a screenshot of the stylist promising you a refund like I did. Got an email from support basically telling me if they don't make good on their promise, I'm just SOL.

I am a professional. And I have been using this app for awhile. Usually I get a response back obviously only through email. Now I am not getting no response and the "chat" no one is ever available. I am not sure if there was a recent update but a lot of the features I am unable to use, and getting clients notifications super late. These fees are ridiculous on top of the regular monthly fees.. might need to find another program. Support is not helpful at all!!
