I love this app. I have been using different programs over the past few months and have gone from being a relative couch potato to looking forward to work out. I also use the on demand section to schedule other types of workouts than the program I am currently on. I don't really use the food section because a lot of the ingredients are not in my grocery store and I don't want to cook a totally different meal for every single meal. My only complaint is that you cannot connect to Garmin yet.
Reviews for Sweat: Fitness App For Women
← Back to Sweat: Fitness App For WomenThis app has potential but I feel it alienates some groups by lacking more detailed search options. It would be nice to see previews is the programs and what types of workouts are included. I have a foot injury and need to sub for low-impact. Unfortunately, there's no way to know what's in the programs until you start one. You also can't adjust program start dates. The app assumes Sunday as a rest day when Sundays are my longest workout days.
Love the workouts! This app has helped me so much to improve my fitness. My only complaint is that I can't connect my fitbit to it to track my steps. I wish they would let you use a fitbit instead of only allowing Google Fit. Otherwise, I have no complaints, I've lost 20 lbs with the help of this app and improving my diet. The hiit workouts are great and I've noticed such a change in physique and muscle gain and haven't had to "lift heavy" to do so. I've mostly done it all with 15 lb dumbbells!
Extremely disappointed. They may offer a 1 week free trial, but you still have to put in your credit card info before you can even see whats in the app. Why would i ever give away my credit card when i have no idea what im getting in return?!?! Like really?!! Seriously? Obvious scam. The Fit52 app is under half the price of this ($3.99-$7.99/month) and offers more than this app offers, with a 3 week free trail and no credit card required until your 3 weeks is up.
Pretty good! I like all the workouts but it'll freeze occasionally and I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work again. Also, I really wish I could backlog workouts if I forget to document it. I'd like if we could pick low or high intensity workout. Sometimes I have hard days at work and I'm tired or if it's late and I live on the top floor apartment it'd be nice to choose. And opposite, if I'm high energy one day and can withstand something more intense, it'd be nice to choose.
The app allows you to follow only one official program at once. Granted you can add in a limited number of workouts from other programs from "on demand" but you can follow only one complete program at a time. I would like to be able to follow more than one complete 12 week program... for instance the PWR AND Yoga. And I would like to be able to save recipes! Some are realllly good and you can *star them but you still have to search for them each time.
I really enjoy this app and have been using it for the past 3 months. I do wish there was example of modifications for people who cannot do certain types of exercises. I also agree about the food planning and recommendations being unhelpful and ridiculous. I wish there were better options and more reasonable meals. Other than that I love the app, but I think for $20 a month, there should be way more options.
This app has been extremely helpful with being consistent with exercise. I'm often on a regular program so it has set workouts each week, varying in difficulty. I love that I can also choose express workouts or one from another program depending on where I am, or what equipment I have on hand. Each exercise has a detailed description of how to complete it. I also like that I can log workouts, and I now use the app as a sort of health tracker to hold myself accountable. Highly recommend!
I love this app and the trainers. I have been using it for almost four years. It would be AWESOME if you could make it so that if you forget to say you completed a workout one day you can still go back and say "completed on this day". Right now you are limited to only adding workouts to the in app calendar on the current day. So for example, if I completed LISS on Wednesday but forgot to add it, I can't go back and say I did it on Wednesday. PLEASE fix this it has been bugging me forever!
Love this App. I was looking for one on nutrition and came across this app. Let me tell you it has helped me loose 10 ibs in 3 weeks. Amazing support and trainers. You choose a program that works for you. My first trainer wasn't my style and after a week I knew I had to change. So I found a trainer for my taste. Either way they make it easier on you to find what you need. Ohh and the meals amazing ideas. It serves 1 but double and you serve 2. There are apps to help count the fats and caleries.
Review for Android users: when the app works, it's great. However I've had multiple instances where the app just will not open for whatever reason for days at a time. Not because of an update and this isn't because of my phone. Super frustrating when you have to opt out for other workouts for days at a time until the app decides to work again. Installing and reinstalling the app doesn't help at all either. I've reached out to support and they don't really help/have answers.
Great app bad customer service. Okay, love the app. I have been using it for at least 2 years. My beef is with their customer service. There is no direct number to call to speak to a rep about managing your account subscription. I have tried many, many, many times to email them about cancelling my subscription form apple pay to Google pay to no avail because I no longer have an Apple account/phone. I'm so sick of trying to explain why i can't do it and still they refuse to listen to my problem.
This app is amazing. When you purchase a subscription you gain access to a half dozen different training and a number of different workout programs and styles. There are also multiple home workout options. Buying the yearly subscription is excellent value, given all the options. I also love that there are rigorous programs, which tell you exactly what to do depending on your goals. All you have to do is open the app and do what it says.
I've been using this app for the past 3 years and I love it! I appreciate the amount of user feedback they incorporate into regular updates. I still find that the app crashes fairly regularly (about 1/5 uses) but it's not a huge deal. One thing I would love to see.. with the new weight tracking for each exercise is that the weights would automatically populate the next time you do that specific exercise so you could know where to start with pyramids etc. I refer to a notes doc to check this.
I've used the app for a month so far and I love it. The only thing I would change would being able to track the amount of weight used & to be able to skip around in the workouts. Once you start, you have to do the workout in order and sometimes the equipment isnt available to do so. I'm currently doing PWR and I love it. I do wish there were modification options to some of the exercises (leg press?!). Also the new update has made it difficult to hear the trainer cues. Overall it's worth the $$!
I've worked with a personal trainer on and off for 4 yrs now and I usually do my own thing during the off moments. Thought i'd give this a try even though i've been skeptical of apps... the PWR is great! It's just like having her right there. The timers, the workouts, keeping track of your progress and what's left. I just use it for workouts but the recipes look really good, too
EDIT: I have now been using this app for over a year and I really enjoy it. It's the best app I've used by far. ---- I have been following the BUILD program using the Sweat Wpp. The app is great although I'm not sure if it's different for other programs. There are multiple programs to choose from, different types of exercise programs and individual exercises. They have written and video examples. I have made major gains using the BUILD Program.
You get an app use either for $134.99 a year with no trial at a savings of 55% charged at once or you get the trial period of 7 days and a monthly charge. I'm going with neither of these options( a trial period would have been nice though, before plunging into a FULL charge of $134.99 per year) and picking another app with better choices! Thank you, Erin :-)
I used this app back in 2019 and purchased the subscription again this year after 5 years of being away. It is surprising to me that even after 5 years the bugs are still the same! You could still not sync the app with your ANDROID watch which means to see your daily steps on the app you need to take extra step and download a 3rd party app. Second, when it is on "WALK" workout you need to stay on the timer screen،if the screen turns black for Battery usage، it stops counting steps & time
I have had the sweat app since 2019 and although I don't always stick to it, I think it is a great deal considering the cost of a gym membership. I do wish there was a feature that would allow all program workouts to have a shorter ~20 minute version. The biggest obstacle for me sticking to the programs is the time commitment. most workouts take 45min - 1hr to complete from warmup to cool down. I think shorter workouts would reduce the barrier to entry for so many people.
