Reviews for Sweepy: Home Cleaning Schedule

← Back to Sweepy: Home Cleaning Schedule

I struggle with motivation. I also struggle with feeling like no matter how much I've done, it's not enough. Sweepy so far has helped me with both. I see the tasks that I am scheduled to do and since I've scheduled certain tasks for weekly, bi-weekly, etc, I don't stress about having to do them all the time. I see that they're not due yet and it gives me a sense of satisfaction instead of always feeling like I have more to do. And the basic app is free! Win-Win!!

I do like this app, and it's a great way to keep track of what I need to clean and when. The streak and wildcard could use some work, though. I my streak will randomly change numbers or just go to zero, and the wildcards just don't increase at all. It would help if there was a manual way to fix the numbers I settings rather than just turn it off completely. If you don't care about the streaks or keeping your numbers this app is still great.

This is a great little app! easy to use, and makes remembering the little things so easy! The free version is great, but paying the VERY low fee gives the added benefit of the app giving you a cleaning schedule for each day, which is a great reminder to do the little tgings, like cleaning light switches, vacuuming under tge washer and dryer, and such.

I love this app so much. I wish there were more task apps that worked this way -- motivating you with a streak while allowing you to sort based on how often things need to be done and how long its been since the last time. It's brilliant. I've never been this successful at cleaning with so little effort, just a little bit every day. Life changing! I would pay for the option to have multiple houses and run a streak for each one. Then I could have a fitness house and a paperwork house and...

Sweepy is great both for helping me keep track of how often I need to do things (like change water filters, which I always forget how long it's been) and for making it so I don't get overwhelmed with the amount of things I need to do. Instead of sitting there and thinking oh I need to do 20 things end up doing nothing because I get overwhelmed, Sweepy is just like hey, you can do all that over the course of several days, today, just focus on these 2-3 things. Huge help.

For reference, I pay for the premium version. It's a very small price for all of the extra help I get from it! I appreciate that even if I deviate and do tasks other than what was on my schedule, the other ones count towards my daily task points! I've also used this for self care (because I struggle with executive dysfunction) and it's super helpful to have all together on the same list. I just created a custom room called "Body". Absolutely love it!

This is easily the most useful app I've ever used. I quickly realized I needed the schedule and y'all, it's well worth the $13 per year! My house is cleaner, I'm no longer struggling to remember the little things (like cleaning baseboards), and I get to see the progress each time a task is completed. If you struggle with being too busy with your kids, business, or husband... this is the app for you!

I used the free version myself for a couple months and really liked it, so I upgraded to the paid version to get the premium family features. The app helps reduce mental load. I no longer have to make lists every weekend for myself. I don't have to think of tasks on the spot when my family gives low effort offers to help (and then sneak off when I don't answer fast enough). Now I just say look at sweepy. :) I do wish there was a way to submit feedback & feature requests?

I'm prefacing this by saying that I did become a premium member. It was reasonably priced, and I felt it was worth it. I'm one who gets overwhelmed and doesn't know where to start with housework. I also enjoy checking things off a list. The app creates the list and schedule for me and keeps track with the estimated cleanliness of rooms. I do wish there were separate room categories for pets and laundry washing/folding/putting away. Overall, I love it so far.

I've used this app for a week so far. it is a little labor intensive up front but helpful. I can't justify paying for premium right now & can't tell what you get extra without doing 3 day trial. But so far much more helpful than lists I've made over & over, index cards, phone reminders. once you set up each "room" - and keep in mind you can be creative, don't limit yourself to physical rooms - you identify tasks within that area, current state, when last done. I added pets & plants too

I've had this app for about an hour now and it keeps crashing when I try to use certain features and can't seem to connect to the server to sync my tasks or create an account using my email. I signed up for a subscription immediately because of the reviews and the UI is so nice, but apparently it's all looks because the app itself can't seem to stay open for more than a few minutes, so i guess I wasted my money. Thanks.

I've enjoyed the help quite a bit. Mostly for the specifics of each room, rather than walking into the room and wondering, "What do I need to do in here today?" Sleepy lists it out for me, piece of cake! I've even considered upgrading to the paid version. However it's way too expensive for what the paid version offers, and I can't see what other benefit I would gain besides being able to schedule and add an additional person, which I don't necessarily need or want to do. Overall it's helpful!

It's kind of tedious to add in all your tasks, but not that bad. It does NOT give you reminders of what needs done each day**, so if you're looking for that type of feature, this is not the app for you. It's better if you are the self-determination type. Still a good app to keep tasks organized! **Not available for free, I mean. Available if you join premium or whatever.

Good app, I'd like to see a way to set a recurring household thing that isn't cleaning (changing air filter, etc) without having to assign it a cleanliness level. Also big pet peeve, when making a new room, I should be able to make a custom task first without having to make a default one first, I do this a lot and end up having to go back and delete the first task because I didn't need it.

My partner and I have started using this, and it's helping. But I'm really, really frustrated to the point of wanting to delete the app... because you can back date work, so if you do the work but ADHD flake documenting it, your streak goes up in smoke. This has happened to me twice in one week, and it doesn't feel like a game or just adds shame and pressure. I'm only keeping with this app to keep my partner happy.

Game changer because it takes away all the mental/emotional work of cleaning. This takes an up-front commitment to accurately listing everything that needs to be done. I've reduced the "default" frequencies for many of the chores the app provides, because otherwise it gives me too much to do too frequently. Once you get this all set up, it's easy to just follow the list. I give myself 2 "very easy" days per week where I only unload the dishwasher and wipe down sinks.

It's a great app for organizing cleaning and maintenance tasks. The effort points feature doesn't fit well for me specifically, because my available "effort" for any given day is random, based on what my body thinks it's willing to do lol. But the app is great at letting me know when stuff needs to be done. I do wish there were a way to do better notifications—like "hey, this room is in pretty bad shape, it needs to get done ASAP!" or something like that. I forget to open the app for days.

absolutely love this app. I can keep in order what needs to be done daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. I tend to lose track of when the last time something was clean and this helps track it. I also have a difficult time staying on track, being overwhelmed, and not motivated. but the green bar and percentage helps alot. setting a daily schedule makes things easier. only downfall is the app crashes alot. I'm constantly force closing. or in the middle of marking done tasks and will boot me out.

Honestly, it's really good for what it is, The only thing is when you get premium, the members aren't allowed to add tasks? It may just be something I haven't figured out, but if you add a room, I love that you can make custom tasks. I don't just use this to clean, but I also use it to help build a routine, (the routine option is premium, but even without it you can make a task for it,) I think this is an amazing app and I do recommend for people struggling with getting things done.

Yesterday my wife and I signed up for a 1-year subscription. As we're setting up our tasks, we run into this warning: "You already have more than 3 rotating tasks. Adding new tasks can cause the scheduler to work incorrectly." Hopefully this is a bug that you are working on. It seems unreasonable to not be able to share more than three tasks without screwing up the app. If we had known this beforehand I would not have subscribed.
