Reviews for SWTCH

Be extremely cautious of this app. It's advertised as a dc3/50kwh charger but it charges by the minute. It's advertised as dc3/50 kWh charger. I've been plugged in for 30minutes and have 15KW. That's not 50. Called customer support. No answer. You pay by the minute so anything slower is false advertising. Charges you 100% for 60% of the delivery.

easy and fast..no issues

Email alerts show incorrect charging status for my car

Finicky app. They have SWTCH charging stations at one business we frequent, and every time I ask why they're not working properly, they say they're waiting for tech support to fix an issue, and that was 6+ months of them not working properly.

It functions. Chargers are unlocked and charging happens. But unlike better charging apps you get no history of how much energy you added. You do at the moment you end the session if you remember to look and right it down. Needs a complete history not just a record of where when and how much it cost to charge.

Great app and experience so far. Have used the SWTCH chargers many times over the last few months with no issues. I did not have the issue of for the $10 reload, it happened with me where I was charged $0.60 and was able to then call customer service to get my remaining balance back onto my credit card. The customer service is very good, took only 5-10 mins

Never remembers my credit card info (which it's never used anyway, because the local chargers are free for much longer than I've ever used them). Unfriendly status message when trying to connect, too; I don't remember the words used right now, but it suggests that the vehicle itself has been blocked or otherwise disallowed from using the network.

Avoid this app at all cost! It asks for your credit information before telling you that they will charge $10. And if you decide to not follow through with charging your car, the $10 will still be charged to your credit card. Calling customer service is of no help because the line has terrible reception and it was super loud at their office.

The app is quite reliable. Clicking start shows an instant response on the chargers I've used

Their support line uses an AI which, in my case, gaslit me repeatedly and made it impossible to get to a real human. WHY.

switch UI doesn't seem to be aware of UI obstructions like Android ui level soft buttons (back, home, recent apps). start charging button appears under said soft buttons. initiating the financial transaction that makes this app profitable doesn't work unless you spend time fencing with the soft buttons. please fix it

very convenient , wish more were available in fells point

The app overlaps with UI and cannot navigate and control.

Bottom menu is half covered by android navigation buttons. Other than that, works fine. edit: apparently the app was updated between me using it 5 minutes ago and writing this review now to not have that problem

Please avoid this application and company at all costs. Recently, I haven't received any notifications indicating that my charging is complete, which results in a fee for time-loitering! The app isn't practical or intuitive. It's extremely basic, lacking necessary information such as the current cost while charging. Additionally, it doesn't provide you with the opportunity to monitor your battery level. Moreover, they only offer an option to notify you via email, suggesting it's a money grab.

An UI issue arises after the recent update. The app's top overlays with the OS status bar, some buttons are untouchable.

The App keeps logging me out frequently and issues to login back. The convenience of the location of charging points gets overlaped by the inability to use them due to lack of access to the account. My car cannot use the chargers without the account.

Usability issues. I used it to search for chargers nearby and tried to click into details for the charger and was not able to exit back to the map view. It looks like app's top part overlaps with status bar. Worse still, when I clicked start charging to see the next screen it actually started charging and told me it's on a IVY roaming network and cannot be cancelled until I unplug the charger.. except I was not even on location. Now the app shows I have an active session.

Very good app. You can Start/Stop charging directly in the app. You can save your favorite charging stations. You can preload any amount starting at a minimum of $10, it doesn't always have to be in increments of $10. Example: So if you want to put $15, $17, $23 etc., you can. The only 2 things I hope they will upgrade later in the future is to allow customers to add more than one payment method and to allow customers to rearrange their favorite stations in any order they want. Good app though

Generally works, but poor app design. On my phone the button to start charging is in the same spot as the buttons to go back, go home, and switch tasks, so I have to press a few times and sometimes start the app again to actually start charging. Also, it's white on white once charging. If I could post screenshots, I would.
