Reviews for The Blood Type Diet®

LIFE CHANGING!!! This has helped me lose a significant amount of weight once I finally knew which foods were beneficial for my blood type so I could make better choices. On some occasions when I eat an avoid food I can definitely feel the toxic effect, whether it's an upset stomach or headache, etc. I even recommend it to friends and co-workers. 8 years and counting using this app and I've dropped 5 clothes sizes from a 12 to a 2.

Good but needs a version for if you have conditions such as Diabetes because that affects your foods lists & frequencies. If you do not have any conditions then this is perfect. Otherwise get the book for your particular ailment and make lists of the foods & keep with you. Yes a pain but it's better than no list with you.

Fantastic app, and worth the money I spent. It's as up to date as the book, although I'm not sure if the app is consistently updated with new information as it's reviewed. That would make it a five-star for sure. But it's definitely a great app when you're shopping. (Edited to 5-star; the app support folks are fantastic)

My husband and I absolutely love this app. It has helped us lose weight and feel a lot better when consuming different foods. We use this app along with low carb, and it is working greatly. Must try!

Super sus. I bought the app a long time ago on a different account and when I went to go find it the price was 3.99 like I never bought it... On this account it is 5.49. Edit. In response to your response...I purchased the app on the other account previously and when I went to go get the app again from the account I purchased it on it said 3.99. I didn't expect to get it for free on an account I didn't purchase it on before...give your customers a lil credit...

This app keeps all the information & food lists for my blood type at my fingertips as well as creating a shopping list if desired. Also information regarding characteristics of people w/ your blood type, exercise recommendations, etc are great reminders. I've used for years with no glitches. Information is the most updated available. A bargain!

Fantastic app! Saving my foods on my shopping list, i can easily find the food when out shopping. Doing a quick search works great, too. Switching to eating only lectins right for my type, i can now eat more histamines and salicylates wo going into afib! Huge! I'm losing weight, fat (35 lbs, 9 waist inches, size 14-8 ) by reducing my insulin resistance. My head is clear and i have tons of energy and motivation even tho my blood type eliminates 95% of my favorite foods! Truly Life Changing!

Is there a reason why all of a sudden half of the food recommendations have changed? Is this not based on studies already completed over a decade ago? Is there new research I am unaware of? The list of beneficial legumes for type A has shrunk by more than half, others have changed significantly as well. I have screenshots from what it looked like a few months ago vs now. Sunflower seeds were beneficial and now they're inflammatory?? What's going on?

Perfect. Does everything I expected and more. This allows me to quickly search for a specific food to check if it's good for my blood type. It also categorizes all the foods in its database so you can get inspired to try new and benefitial foods if you didn't have anything particular in mind. It also has a shopping list! It may not look the fanciest but I wouldn't change a thing about it.

This app really does help with diet I found a few meals I was able to put together for families with type o and type a blood. Like others have said pictures of the different foods would be nice to have. I believe IF a free version were to be made it could show examples of how the app works and like 4-6 foods. Examples as to why these foods are good for the different blood types would be helpful along with cross referencing to the online book if both are purchased. Great app.

In my opinion an app should be a quick go to. This is too much information. I have the book but what I was looking for in an app was a quick go to ( recipes and things to avoid) for specific blood types not a big inconvenient chart with keys I need to pour over and decipher while I'm out and about. Really disappointing especially for a paid app. I got a refund and will make my own app.

A couple of things would make the app better in my opinion. 1. Every food should have a short explanation why it is good or bad. That would make it easier to remember the reasons for living like that and easier to explain and spread the diet to others. 2. The app should be free and have a paid version to get rid of advertisement for example. Would spread it IMMENSELY. 3. Pictures of the foods would really help saving time when figuring out how they look. 4. Get rid of intro screen. Faster start.

I love this app for when I'm shopping. The food categories could do with an update. There are a number of foods that aren't listed. The app itself hasn't been updated in over a year. It would be great if there was a way to save favourite recipes. Other issues: when using the search feature, after viewing a recipe and going back, the list shows the default foods, even though the searched food is still in the search bar.

App needs to add ethnicity to ensure accuracy of food list and recommendations to every individual. Not just the majority. Purchased it thinking it would align with the book and make choosing foods and recipes easier. But it did not. I still have to refer back to the book to further filter certain foods cause I am of African descent. So I can't use the food list or recipes.

Can't trust the recipes? I'm a little frustrated as I hoped this app would be helpful. I filtered by the O blood type on the recipes and Potato soup comes up ok to make, however it's clearly full of items Os are not supposed to eat? the chart in the recipe itself even shows the individual ingredients as Avoid. So why would it come up for the O filtered diet? Basically, I can't trust the recipes, which is frustrating, because it was a large part of why I bought the app.

I love the food lists. The recipe section is frustrating to navigate. I perform the search for my type, then open a recipe. Navigating back to my search list then doesn't stay on my search. Also, when I read a recipe on say, page 4, I can't get back to page 4. The app takes me back to the beginning on page 1 again and again, making the recipe function user Unfriendly. Thx!

LUV this app. I have been using it for a very long time and appreciate how up to date it always is. It's plain and to the point. No need for fancy graphics or pictures. If I wanted that then I would use only the books. I wanted a precise app that gives me the right information and that is what this app does. Short and to the point with no gimmicks. Thanks !!!!!

Good as a food list quick reference guide, and offers recipies. Terrible UI, looks like a website (no mobile styling) just shrunk down, with no visual appeal. Selling a lot of stuff, secretor tests, a specific brand supplements, books, etc. I would prefer the supplement section just list what supplements are good and why or which active ingredients in what dose to look for should I choose to buy a dif brand. Instead it links you to buy from specific brand with no education around that.

I absolutely love the blood type diet! It is the only path that has helped me to loose weight & actually see results in my health. To have an app for it has been incredible! Super easy to use. I only wish there was a more extensive list for herbs by blood type. They are an important part of my holistic path. The food lists haven't been updated in some time from what I can tell although I am now seeing foods in grey that are unknown. Hopefully this means an update is coming.

1. You need to pay again if you want to test whether or not you're a secretor 2. Pay again for list of "supplements", they don't just give you a list of vitamins and 3 the search tool for which foods or recipes are beneficial is atrocious for mobile app. This is obviously an app for a book, you can easily find all this information for free on Google without someone trying to sell you more junk. Wasted 4$. *From 3 stars to 1. Disregard for my entire review, its NOT easy browsing via app (check 3)
