Been using The State News: Columbia, SC for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that covers everything going on in the Columbia and Midlands area – local news, sports, weather, traffic, and more. Pretty solid if you live in or around Columbia and want to stay up-to-date on what’s happening.
Here’s what you can do: you can get breaking news alerts, read the latest stories on local topics, check out photos and videos of news events, and even read the newspaper’s opinions and columns. And there’s also a digital edition that’s kinda like the print newspaper. Took me a while to figure that one out but it’s actually pretty cool.
Look, if you’re into local news and wanna know what’s going on in the Midlands, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re in the Columbia area.
