So here's my honest take on The Word Among Us Mass Edition. I've tested a bunch of Catholic prayer and devotional apps, and this one's a pretty solid option. The daily readings and meditations are high quality, and I like how you can follow along with the full Order of Mass. And it's not the most feature-rich app out there, but it covers the basics really well. The only downside is the short free trial, but the paid subscription is reasonable. Overall, it's a great tool to help you stay connected to the Church and grow in your faith.

Pros

  • Daily Mass readings and meditations keep you connected to your faith
  • Full Order of Mass is a handy feature
  • Looks great and runs smoothly on my older Android phone
  • Free to try for 2 weeks before paid subscription

Cons

  • Free trial is only 2 weeks, a bit short to really test it out
  • Some features could be more intuitive to use at first
  • Gets repetitive after a while if you use it every day

Description

Been using The Word Among Us Mass Edition for a couple months now. It’s basically a Catholic devotional app that gives you the daily Mass readings and meditations. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: there’s the daily readings, which are from the New American Bible. And it’s got these little meditations to go along with the readings – kind of like mini-homilies. You can also access the full Order of Mass, which is handy. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s pretty user-friendly overall.

Look, if you’re a practicing Catholic, you’ll probably get a lot out of this app. It’s not perfect – the free trial is only 2 weeks which is kinda short – but overall it does the job of helping you stay connected to your faith. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.
