Reviews for Till: Debit Card for Kids

This service is amazing! While traveling overseas without us, our teen can be cash free. We can add money as he needs it while seeing where he is spending. I am able to relax while he is learning to control his expenses. Now, if it could just get him to send photos...

I was a bit skeptical about the app and services since there have been no fees involved. I'm not sure how that could be since competing apps charge monthly fees, etc. Super satisfied. Very easy to transfer money to and from my children's debit cards and parent wallet. I love this app & it's services.

Do Not Use. Unable to access my parent Acct. Have reset password and reloaded the app many times. Tech support could not resolve the problem and communications are poor.

The school required my kids to get these for their meal allowances to be put on them for a school trip. We wanted to add more money for souvenirs to them but weren't able to. I couldn't put money in them through the app because it wouldn't accept my debit card. When us and other family members tried to add money through the link we got either error messages or endless loading screens. Luckily I sent one of my kids with a debit card otherwise they wouldn't have had any spending money.

This app is extremely frustrating. It takes forever for money to load into your account, then to transfer to your child. By the time the money is in my account to transfer, the trip will be over. Do better Till! You're messing up a lot of people's trips with this delay... Modern times shouldn't need this long of a waiting period.

Great for travel! Till was reccomended for international travel for my daughter. It worked exactly how they stated. No issues, easy to change a forgotten pin number, credited back all conversion fees. My daughter loves the fact that she can have the app on her phone and set goals for saving. I originally used till for her international trip so that the card she used was not tied to any of our banking info at home. I thought we'd go back to our bank, but we are really happy w/ Till and will stay

We recently had an issue with Till, where our account was closed based on a decision by the company. I was very upset about this as my kids had money in savings they needed to access soon for a school event they saved for. I expressed my concerns with the closure with no notice/warning and how this disrupts my kids financial security, and they reopened the account instantly. Customer service was excellent! Fast, friendly, and very helpful! Only "complaint" is that it is available via email only.

Worked well for my daughter's International trip. International fees were refunded back into the account quickly. It takes several days to transfer $ from your bank account to the parent wallet. Once there is $ in the parent wallet it is quick to transfer from the parent wallet to kids accounts. We just pre-planned by transferring funds into the parent wallet well before the trip, then just making smaller transfers from the parent wallet to her card. Issues losing connection to Bank now, fix it!

My daughter needed a debit card for a trip to Ireland and Ef tours offered till card for her. It takes foreign fees out and she pays just the price no additional charges. She has had no problems except forgetting to unlock and lock it back up but that's her own doing. Lol great for a first card for kids especially if they travel into different countries. Wonderful experience. I would tell anyone if the have kids traveling get this for them. Trusted and easy to use and easy to load and add kids.

I have been using Till since last year for my daughter. It is helping her to understand her spending (before she used my cc 😁), and also understand her income as she works now. Most importantly, the 5 stars are for the support I received for an issue that I had with the app and deposit. It was resolved within hours and I was impressed. I have the basic plan (free) and still support was fast and fantastic.

I downloaded this app so ky kid could get a debit card for a summer trailer program. At first everything seemed OK, I got the debit card in less than seven days. Then I link my Bank of America account to it and initiate a money transfer. Four days later the ACH transfer is pending. So, for the rest of the world, an ACH transfer takes a day or less, but not for these geniuses. I'd never recommend this worthless company and shop around for an app that can actually transfer money.

Don't get this app its a waste of time. The cards they give are cheap and scratch/break easily. If you decide to make an account, it will let you in instantly or make you wait for "verification." Don't bother waiting, it's a no. If they let you in and you happen to delete your account or change your email, it will say your email is still in use and you can't make another account/ get back in. It takes more than 5 business days to transfer money to your kid. So don't rely on this for emergencies.

Mostly love the app. I wish there was a way to create a task for everyone in the family, not just a specific person, though. I would love to put a task in that anyone could complete instead of entering it 3 separate times. I also wish there was a way to switch between the parent account and kid accounts. My youngest don't have their own phones yet and the app doesn't seem to be available on the Amazon tablets currently.

This app is pretty good especially for being free. I have two complaints. 1. Adding a second parent doesn't work the way you would expect. They won't have the same bank already available for funding. Better to use the primary user's login on their device. 2. They only support adding banks via Plaid, so if you use an unsupported bank, you're stuck having to either use a debit card to fund it (fee) or setup an external bank with the ACH (which is faster anyway but doesn't support auto).

Took time to get money into the account, which isn't that big of a deal. My problem is that when I reached out to support because I received zero notifications of deposits, tasks being completed, requests from my kid, etc. I was met with kind words, but no actual results. UPDATE: It's been two months now, and still no movement on my support ticket. Apparently they don't care that you don't get notifications from the app.

It's been a great app until I want to cash out the parent wallet. I keep getting an error code. It's very frustrating. Please fix this error. Once this error is fixed. I can give the app 4 or 5 rating. The only other thing is I wish it would say on the deposits is which bank a deposit comes from not just say bank deposit. That would be very helpful. Fix this two things and this is a 5 Star app!

It's super frustrating. It worked well for a few years. Now, it won't connect to my bank account despite the customer service advice/recommendations. Finally, I tried opening another account, which also displayed more error codes at the initial start of setting up the account. Also, customer service support is only via email, which also is time consuming because there is so much back and forth. I feel I'm spending a great deal more time than is reasonable. Thus, I closed the account today.

Very easy to set up until I ran into a problem depositing money. I contacted customer service and got a response pretty quickly on a Friday before the holiday weekend. After a little back and forth, the problem was fixed. I went from almost deleting the app to being excited to use it again for my daughter's trip. Give them a shot and let them help you if you run into an issue. They will take care of it.

This app is for minors and to manage their funds. I got it for my 14-year-old when she was traveling abroad for the first time because it doesn't have international fees when you use it,specifically if you fly with EF Tours. But it doesn't transfer funds into the account right away, and requires you to wait 3-5 business days! There is no chat feature, nor is there a toll-free number to call in case of assistance or immediate help. Also troubleshooting is a proble unhelpful for parents/children!

DO NOT USE THIS!!!!! This is extremely frustrating. We choice to use this debit card for our teen during an international trip. First, no where on the site does it say there is a daily and weekly limit of how much you can transfer to the parent wallet from a debit card. (Daily $350 and Weekly $500). ACH doesn't work! No customer service either. App is slow and non responsive, can take multiple minutes just to log in. AGAIN, DO NOT USE. Go with GreenLight!!!!!!!!!!
