Reviews for TLV Bible

← Back to TLV Bible

I'm overall so blessed by this app and all it makes available. The Greenberg family devotionals always help me reflect on the passage. It is a convenient way to keep up with the parshat for the week. Very thankful for the new TLV audio bible. The apps minor glitches are easy to look past in light of all of the amazing content provided. The TLV bible is also available in other bible apps that I like and use.

Loading Error - that is all I got. i would like to have tried this app, but nothing happened. i installed it twice, nothing period.

UPDATE: I updated the app today and all is working well now. Thanks for fixing the bugs for Android 12. It was a great app; everyone in our family had it as it made it easy to read the Torah together. With the recent update, however, it crashes every time I try to open the weekly reading. Very disappointing.

at some point there was an update and now it wont allow me to copy/paste scripture. Although it has the feature, it's just broken. Has me using this app much less now than I normally would. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if it would fix it. It still doesn't copy/paster scripture, BUT what it does do, is copy it as a link - to the app. But doesn't copy the scripture itself. Who is going to use that feature? no one.

Used to be a good study tool, but with each update becomes more unstable. Sadly, after the most recent update it won't even open. Digital products have become so unreliable, the only choice is to go back to the printed Word.

Every time I launch the app a flash notice appears telling me to allow notifications. I press ALLOW and also I allow all notifications in the settings even though it automatically sets off after I close the app. I uninstalled the app instantly.

Really like the app and this translation. Hoping to one day get my own hardcopy TLV. My only issue is since the new update I'm not able to copy the verses and share them as it only copies the link to the app on the clipboard. So when I'm, for example, doing an online study, I have to go elsewhere to find, copy and paste verses.

Don't know why things are made for only phones and Chromebooks, which is like a phone only in the shape of a computer. Also placed an order in the store, and it still hasn't been fulfilled. Can't understand what the purpose of an online store when they have nothing to ship, but they sure took the money out quick!

Very good. Enjoying reading the Hebraic words of the scriptures. But it only allows you to share the app itself and lacks the functionality to share the bible passage you're currently reading (which could be of some encouragement to family member or friend who need it) be it via email, text, or WhatsApp. Please developers, tweak the program to enable this like other bible apps. Much thanks.

I love the TLV Bible! I knew they were working on the audio version and I have been so excited. I downloaded it immediately tonight. I have spent the entire evening soaking it in while learning the correct pronunciations used in this wonderful version based in the Hebrew roots. If you have never read the Bible, it is life changing! Do not let someone tell you what is in the Bible. Find out for real for yourself and watch God change you (your heart) from the inside out. 🙏 Beautiful. Praise God!

Virtually useless for me, because many times - average of two or three per chapter - the last few words of the verse are omitted if they're at the end of a paragraph. I've contacted TLV support, and they just said the fault was with the fonts on my phone. However, they could not give me instructions on changing the fonts. And, this is the only app that has this problem. Every other Bible and reading app works just fine. Edited: Thanks for the update. It seems to have fixed the problem.

I can only read a chapter at a time you cant "turn the page" ex :when im done reading verse 25 i have to go back up to the search bar and click verse 26 to keep reading and if the night time mode is on it automatically switches back to being bright again as soon as you switch to the next verse. also no book mark either and as soon as you close the app it loses your place on where you were reading. nice for looking up a verse but not for reading all the way through.

I appreciate the free access and the features, but appears to be no way to make notes on verses in the app--even if you upgrade to the subscription version--which is a huge drawback for any Bible app. Maybe they will get on adding that for an update. But anyway it works well and never crashes on me.

Very unwise to sell the word of God which is what happened to this app. Not only the app seems to be profit oriented with all kinds of features requiring the subscription, but also the recent update asks for payment in order to listen to the audio of Genesis. I was looking forward to see further books released throughout the Torah cycle and instead I've got this disappointment. You were given for free yet you are selling. Not very messianic I guess.

We really love the app and the TLV Bible. But we are very disappointed with one thing with the newest update. The audio reading of the Torah portion is no longer there or available. We love to be able to listen to the Torah reading for the day and now we have to come up with some other way. Please bring the audio files back into the application. They were very much appreciated

The app will not pick up where you left off. There is also no bookmark function. I also found some misleading information in the glossary section. I updated the app hoping these issues may have been fixed, but instead it appears the update further limited my access to other sections. The version seems decent, but I am likely deleting the app as I have found much better ones with no limits.

Great Translation, Annoying Glitch. If the app is open in the background, and then in another app I start and then stop audio, as soon as the audio stops it will trigger this Bible app to start playing the audio of the chapter I'm in, from the background! It's a startling and annoying glitch.

Your can't bookmark, can't continue reading from where you left off. The app seems more interested with you getting a subscription, and advertising all the special features it has, rather than just the Word itself. Even reading the scriptures is difficult because it's a small box you click surrounded by other boxes that lead to their devotionals, special features, etc. Overall it is terribly done.

I am unable to update to the current version of the TLV app on my android phone. I have listened to The Word nightly via the TLV Bible app, and now I am not able to. Otherwise, I absolutely love this app and all of its wonderful features. I constantly recommend it to others and am using it to teach my children. Not having access to the app is a BIG loss. Please help.

I like this app, but I was disappointed to discover that the audio version doesn't always match the written text, with occasional words being overlooked, added, or phrased differently. For this reason, I am hesitating to pay the subscription fee to unlock everything. I prefer audio that perfectly matches the written text.
