Reviews for TrainingPeaks

Really love the way this app integrates with all my other platforms (Garmin, Rouvy, etc). The online platform is amazing and its very easy to build/schedule workouts. The mobile app does not have the full spectrum of tools/options as the online platform, but this app would be massive and very slow/clunky if they attempted to make it the same.

Glad that a coach can come in to add workouts but this interface is very clunky and hard to use. There's not a way to add a course to a workout either so on Garmin you'll choose navigation or a planned workout. Example of clunky - to have a conversation with your coach, it's in the "post activity notes" where you can't post a note but edit the entire workout in order to add to it and save it.

new frustrations: The app keeps logging me out and does not save my login information. I do not receive notifications when my coach leaves a comment. Old frustration: I'd love to see all time power PBs at any time frame, not just the ones pre-selected by TP. I use TP because of my coach, if it weren't for that, I'd only be using intervals.icu, which is where I go to reference any workout or race I've done.

I use training peaks on my PC. I want to be able to use on mobile but the app is really confusing, or maybe just lacks basic functionality. If there us a Way to simply pull of a training plan to just look at it, let alone edit it, I can't figure it out. I am a coach and my athletes often complain about this app. If it does not improve I will look into other options.

After years of use I've collected a lot of good data and appreciate having had this program but it's absurd to spend this much money on it as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to let the account lapse but I'm concerned that I'll lose a data set I can navigate comfortably. There should be a middle of the road option for athletes that have been injured and cant compete but still want to record progress post injury.

Biggest issue is that it does not work AT ALL when not connected to the internet... can't view my planned workouts for the day or enter any data about a workout I've done. The interface is ok, but there isn't an easy way to repeat a workout over multiple days. It also only pairs with specific devices/heart rate monitors rather than having a means to connect to any Bluetooth enabled devise. I can't say there is a better app out there, but I'd honestly prefer to use a self made excel spreadsheet.

I've been using training peaks for years. Many features are great, but I hate the fact that you cannot unpair or pair workouts from the app. Often the system pairs with a workout inaccurately, and it is impossible to change it unless you can get to the full site. And, if you have the app installed, it's impossible to do THAT from the phone as it will always reroute you to the app. I've complained about this issue countless times, to no avail.

This is a review of the Android app, not trainingpeaks overall. The charts interface is awful. The calendar often gets out of sync (August 29,2023 shows as Wednesday instead of Tuesday, etc..). Worst of all, when looking at laps for a workout instead of a table, it's a cumbersome series of charts that you need to fumble through, so I just end up using Garmin connect for that. Otherwise, it works pretty well, but I often end up having to use my laptop or Garmin Connect because of those issues.

I think that this is a great app for GRAPHING your training. I use other apps to track my distance, time, etc. and then put it in every day. It is time consuming, and there a a lot tou need to know, like TSS and IF and all that. I would have liked to see the actual tracking of miles in the same app, or an easier way to transfer your miles, if all you have is a phone (no special gadgets) because as of now you have a o do everything manually.

Stopped using as the cranked up trying to force you into bind the premium. Didn't want to pay that much, ridiculous to go month to month for $20 a month for an app. They had a better price structure I definitely would have stuck around. Just started losing so many functions in the basic app that I figured I could do what they're letting me do on a Google calendar 😜. Even when I've used the paid version in the past it was a bunch of information I didn't need.

Basically not a lot of explanation how things work. For some basic stuff like transferring your heart rate. Keeping track of your form, fitness, stress. I have Wahoo HR monitor which automatically transfer my workouts to this app, but few workouts are not recognized properly, so I have to enter manually. It is not big deal, but needs improvement. I wish to use it more, but I don't know how exactly. Some explanation of stuff is way complicated for me.(Silly me).that should help people not confuse

Everything thru Email only? Well that doesn't help when you have issues with the app, as you get get asked about everything under the sun and none of it pertaining to your app issue and answered one.email.at.a.time. Maybe when they get a contact number I will change my rating. The app itself is great; as for the training through it! Customer service.. Not so much.

Not terrible, but worth the cost. You can use most of your tracker apps to give you similar stats. Access to training might be good for some athletes.. I was turned off by the app auto-renewing after I reached out to customer service. No warning email or messages and you cannot manage your sub in the app, you must login through a desktop browser.

App does not have the functionality of web interface which is not good in this day and age. I would expect it to be there other way round. For example it's hard to figure out how/impossible to see power zones and recalculate them in the app. Also in the app there's no way to go back on some screens so you have to close the app and start over - quite lame. Two years later in mid 2025 this is still true. You can't even match a workout with an event in the mobile app.

I actually have no idea what this app or any of their services are like because I've spent a week and over an hour trying to sign in via mobile app, online and to connect my Garmin Watch. nothing works, I mean nothing. Impossible to log in, none of the platforms will accept my account email, username or password and when I reset password, none of them will accept the reset passwords. There is no customer service, no phone or email support, so I will start looking for their competitor now.

I signed up using the wrong email address and connected with my garmin account. My bad for signing up with the wrong info. So, just cancel the account, right? Wrong. There is no way to cancel or close the account in the app. Access to the subscription info is greyed out. There is no support link. I unconnected my garmin account, but it's still spamming my connect app with random workouts. I don't see a way to stop these, and I never asked for them. Overall this has been a horrible experience.

Rigid and unadaptable. Do all your workouts, but shift by one day? 0%. Have an option to do one of a few workouts and only complete 1? 0%. Also, can't complete a portion of a workout. Only have time for a portion of the assigned workout? 0% or 100%. No partial credit. user interface leaves much to be desired, and you need a PhD to understand half of what's going on. After 3 months of using the app, I still don't understand most of its stats, and constantly have to Google what the stats mean.

paid for a subscription. not all of the features work on the app as they should. Customer support is trying to fix the issue. asked if I could have my subscription pro rated until the issue is fixed, and I was told that's not possible. I paid for all of the features on the app. Not most of, or a part of the app. Very frustrating that customer support cannot level with me, when the product I received, is not the product advertised to me.

I've used TP pretty much from the beginning. As the app gets more "features", it loses basic functionality. Currently, the app continually logs me out. Logging in multiple times a day gets old. Update 8/7: I did reach out, was told they'll "tackle it as soon as possible". It's been a month, nothing has changed. This is actually worse than you guys removing bike EF, limiting workout titles, and the obnoxious over use of whitespace. I'm paying for a service I can't really use.

App used to be awesome. Recently it has become so slow it's almost unresponsive. Long time user and massive supporter of trainingpeaks but something's changed to make the app almost unusable. really hope it can get back to the standard it once had. As of today the app is still sluggish. Really hoping for improvement but none yet. Dropping to 1 *.
