Reviews for Trinity Psalter Hymnal

Desperately needs either an export feature or cloud sign in so we can access our favorites across multiple devices.

Please make the psalter hymnal app searchable by tune or have a list of the tunes for hymns and psalms. TY.

Love there's an Android version of this app. Looking forward to future updates to match the ios version. Thank you all for your hard work. 🙏

Pales in comparison to the Apple version of the app. Features promied 3 years ago are still not available.

Our family loves this app! It is so nice to always have access to the Hymnal and even have music to play with it

Very helpful app. One feature that is in the IPhone version that would make my use of it much, much easier would be the ability to search for a meter.

This is a great app. Works fine. Beats carrying one to service. It is very convenient. It would be five stars if it had the creeds etc. I hope the company adds it soon.

Needs Just Tuning! This is an incredible resource. But the audio files that play the music play the notes in equal temperament, which means that *no chord is ever in tune*! If the tuning for the files were set to Just Temperament/Pure Temperament, this would go away.

Singing God's praises from the mountain top or trail bend just got much easier! Some bugs are still being worked out and some updates are still needed. But my favorite hymnal has now led to my favorite app.

I love it, but.. The apple version of the app have the creeds and confessions as they appear in the physical book. the android app doesn't. Please add them!

It's a good app for the most part, but my only criticism is that when I search on it, I get no good results. E.G., I'll search for "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" and I get results that don't even start with the letter "C". I even typed "Come" and the screen was empty of results. I'm hoping this will get fixed since I paid $10 for this.

This app has done everything advertised without glitches for me, & works w/out WiFi. The bookmark and favorites features are great. It's helped me learn tunes much faster. One suggestion is if we could pick which of the 4-part harmonies we want to hear rather than hearing all 4 (SATB). That's a big ask of course. 😆 Thank you, Act Five Software, for your stellar work on this very helpful product! The Psalms are such a comfort and help. Some favorite selections: 11A, 21A, 25A, 32A, 103C, 143A.

This is a great app! I have the android version and appreciate the midi playback. Two main feature requests: 1. Make the tempo adjustable (simple faster/slower buttons or playback speed 1.0x 1.1x etc.) 2. Select individual parts to practice/learn the harmonies in family worship. This should be much easier with the midis than the live recordings that the iPhone version has.

Glad it's here, but a bit disappointed. First of all, it took forever. The iPhone version has been out for ages. I expected with all that development time the app would be pretty good but it is subpar compared to the iPhone app of the same price. No dark theme. The tune playbacks are low quality midi recordings, not the actual piano recordings the iPhone app has. I'm glad it's finally on Android, but disappointed that it's the same price as the iPhone version when it's clearly not as good

Good app! would love to be able to adjust speed of the music playing. Also when clicking on a song then going back, it starts over at the beginning so you have to scroll down again. Minor inconveniences but just an idea for future updates :).

Great collocation of Psalms and hymns! The audio files need to be fixed. There are long pauses in between verses that make it difficult to sing along with the audio. If the audio was fixed and the scrolling functionality was stronger, this would be a 5 star app.

Fantastic work! For a while, the TPH was out of print and I couldn't find a copy anywhere. This came in use many times. It is very well put together and has an aesthetic similar to the physical book I would love if the following features were included: -Dark Mode -Creeds and Confessions -A setting that makes search ignore needing to put commas (sometimes hymns have commas in the title and sometimes they don't)

08/02/2024: Can I get an update on the creeds and confessions? It seems that the version in the TPH use slightly different wording than the ones in the other apps, which makes it awkward when reciting along with the congregation using the hard-bound version. It has been over 2 years since I asked. :-) ------ Please add the creeds and confessions from the back! Other than that, great app! Thank you!

Works Offline! Seeing the lyrics and the notes is great for family worship on the go. Being able to listen to a piano play the notes is extremely helpful for learning Psalms with unfamiliar tunes. Absolutely love it. Highly recommend both the physical book and this app. Together and separately they are fantastic.

After an initial review looks pretty great! Layout is very similar to the Book of Psalms for Worship App which is to be expected as they share the same developer. Sadly, the app does not appear to include the three forms of unity or the Westminster standards which are included in the print version, but other than that looks great!
