It's pretty ridiculous. I have no accidents, and never had a moving violation in my life, and Im over 50. It's not possible to drive the exact speed limit in reality. Hard braking isn't hard braking here, it's braking. They take points away for the most minuscule things. The app wants permission to track your every movement, in your car , others cars, AS WELL AS YOUR DAILY PHYSICAL MOVEMENT !! I don't recommend it, the slight savings aren't worth the headache....

Initially was useful in, apparently, discounting based on driving. Then we noticed the score inexplicably going down despite achieving perfect scores and driving cautiously as heck (and having angry drivers blow by) ! The algorithm is obviously flawed and not worth being tracked. We went from initial 90% to 100% to 70% each without changing anything after 100%. Wonder what they do with our info! We are Uninstalling this!

Don't brake for deer in the road or someone cutting you off. That's hard braking and a negative mark against you. Evidently, they would rather you wreck your ride. And don't let your kid have your phone in the back seat, choosing different songs to play, that's "distraction." Also, a negative mark. It doesn't know if you are the driver or the passenger either. So if you are not driving and you don't think to change that stat, you better hope they were a good driver.

App calculates inaccurate overall Score Ratings. The monitorings of Speed, Distraction, Hard Braking Hard Acceleration, are all 99 to 100 overall, and at the same time, the App has my Overall Score at 85. My Overall Score dropped from 89 to 85 within a week. There is No reasonable explanation why that happened, and after 2 phone calls to Hartford, they can not explain either.

this app isn't accurate. driving things happen beyond our control. if someone cuts in front of you pulls out from a side street no warning and not enough space you have to hit the brakes. this app records when I'm IN the GYM on the hydro boost. it doesn't record the speed zones correctly. I've had a great driving record 55 yrs no tickets no accidents I know I'm a good driver .also if GPS drops off my phone I have to stop to get it back on the app says I'm distracted with my phone .

This app is not responding. I have downloaded it more times than I can count. Says I have no trips even when I get home from a trip. It's totally frustrating! Works fine on my husband's phone, which is older than mine. It records my drives on his phone when I am driving, but it does not record on my phone. Hartford needs to find a new app service provider for its driving app!!!!

App only responds to vehicle computer. Not actual driving conditions! Speed limit signs do not always face the road correctly, vehicle computer doesn't read them and we are then considered to be speeding. Most of our driving is city, breaking hard is a common thing, others pulling out of side streets and drive ways or cutting off when passing on multi lane streets!

It is fun and I drive as I always do. I have been a good driver for a long time. Being bappreciated rocks! The app is not difficult. But right now my car has been under repair for a week and isn't ready to be driven yet but you are already warning me to drive more ofteñ if I want to keep my discounts,. you seem to ignore the reality that all kinds of factors can temporarily prevent us from driving.

Sorry, you don't give the option if, 0 stars. I got a text message that you haven't recorded any trips, AS I WAS DRIVING!!! You have also, in the past, recorded me, while I was in my house!!! I have uninstalled, and reinstalled this STUPID APP too many times. You can see that my driving habits have not changed, yet, my score, since you say I'm not driving, has gone down. Why? There was also times that I wasn't driving, due to foot surgery. This app is "really" useless!

I have never used a driving app before, but this has to be the worse ever. I drove for about 6 months with an average score of about 95. Then overnight it dropped to 73. No change in driving or stars. Now I can make the perfect 5 stars on all trips and my score drop. Last week it had me driving 100 miles away in another city while I was home on the couch! All the complaints I've read on the other reviews are ditto from me. This app SUCKS!!!

I like the app but if our driving scores go down because of phone use, it's an issue. Every time I use my GPS app I get a lower score. If you can tell that my phone moved then you should be able to tell the difference between using GPS or other app and texting. Also, I have to go into the app to mark myself as the passenger when I ride with someone else. I forget half the time. Maybe just use a pop-up and ask every time the app runs if I'm the driver or passenger.

My numbers were high until I stopped for a yellow light that I knew I would not safely get through before turning red. I was going posted speed limit of 35 but had to stop a little quicker than usual. I'm just wondering if the app prefers that we run a red light! The "sharp turn" is a little confusing too. You can't always do a nice wide turn in every situation or maybe the road has a sharp turn in one direction, like our driveway!

I've been using this app for about 18 months. I am a VERY careful driver, and have had perfect scores for the three parameters the program measures (speeding, distracted driving, braking). However in the last few months, I have watched my score decline from the 90's range, down to the sixties. Yet it says my driving record is perfect! I called Hartford to ask about this---twice---and the agent agrees that the "score" doesn't seem to accurately reflect what the app is recording.

Have been trying for over a month to get set up. Never get the validation text, and emails to support go unanswered. I guess I will lose my discount, all due to an app that cannot even be set up. edit: yup. lost the discount which negates any savings, plus my time. The Hartford service is as useless as the app.

This app worked fine for the first 6 months. Then I got a new phone and when I reinstalled the app, my score was showing 7. (Previous scores had been between 65 and 75.) After a few days of running the app on the new phone, I noticed it was scoring oddly. I could get 5 stars in every category but one, but it would just use the lowest score. Even perfect scores in every category couldn't budge that overall score above 7. Uninstalled, then got dinged on my renewal rate.

Having an application monitor you exact location where, when you go is very invasive. The accelerometers for acceleration, braking etc. would be more than enough to indicate what kind of a driver you are as a person. If the location could be turned off on the app, I would be more amenable to using it. The GPS data may not be used in your best interest as it can be skewed or interpreted any way an interested party intends at a later time. It is NOT to your long-term advantage to use this app.

The scoring doesn't make any sense. In the last 90 days (or even 6 months) if I average each trip score the #'s don't match. Also, hard braking results do not seem to make sense; if the phone moves, you get dinged, and the data would indicate that you had to have run into something. There is no way to get bad scores adjusted when things happen that are not driving related.

These changes were not made in favor of anyone except Hartford. I had to brake hard to keep from hitting a deer at least twice since I installed the App. I got scored for it. I got scored for accelerating several times, almost every time to get up to the merge speed of the traffic to keep from causing a wreck. Who ever wrote code for this App apparently doesn't travel Interstate highways. The normal speed is always more than the posted speed limit. If I drive much slower, I become the problem.

**A year later edit. This app is a scam I feel like. Once your score drops, you can't get it back up. My score dropped 10 points in one week because of 3 events, I reported issues on 2 and got a generic response. A week later, with no issues, no increase. I canceled my insurance last night and went with a company that was cheaper even without the "discount." App stresses me out, lol

This app has stopped recording and updating my driving since June 18, 2025. I've reported this and was told to update app, make sure my phone is fully charged and location is on. I have not changed anything since the app was installed. It was always up to date, location is on and phone always charged. Your app is not working and you need to fix it.
