Absolutely must have! It's not affected by internet connection, you can access it anytime to pray or celebrate a Mass. No worries if you are walking into a small chapel in a small remote village or even if it is in a country not speaking your language. Many interesting spiritual reading if you have the time to browse through. Even have alerts to remind me to pray 🙏. Blessed to born of this age.

Before there was Hallow there was Universalis...the OG of Catholic prayer apps. Great for staying connected to the official prayer of the Church and the ancient rhythm of sacred time. Not for you if you're looking for the Catholic flavor of the day. Perfect for the 23 hours of the day when your Breviary is out of reach.
Very helpful in making my prayer "book" available almost anywhere. I have checked, and it matches the prayers in the book "Christian Prayer" for any given day accurately.

I have been using one for the hours which I regarded good. having found universalis through a friend I can say it pleases me 100%. My ignorance is being enlighten tg. It has provided the solutions which I sought but couldn't find. It has all the options I wished for. thank you and my friend.
I paid for this subscription a week ago, buy I have been charged twice in one week. This is robbery! Until they sort this out I DONOT recommend this app!!! I'm happy to come back here and inform you, my beloved Catholic community that the app responded with timeliness and alacrity to my complaint. The multiple billing issue was resolved within an hour and the excess was refunded to my account. The team behind Universalis are honest and I highly recommend it.

An absolute blessing. Enables me to pray the Office and be engaged with Holy Mass when I'm travelling for business rather than carrying heavy Missals and breviaries, plus a whole lot more. I would not be without it
This App has been a huge grace for me. It is a completely comprehensive Office & Missal. It has some good commentary for Mass readings as well.
Very useful app and accurate mass readings as long as you select the country and city, if applicable. Grateful for this app's creators. The paid version also has an available audio of the mass readings except the Psalms, I think. All in all, a great app.
Decades of use and enjoyment. I have used universalis daily since the late 1990s via the website. I have been using the app since it first appeared. Supports church calendars from many countries. Material in multiple languages. Just keeps getting better over the years.
Universalis is my go-to app for daily readings and prayers. It has everything—Mass readings, Liturgy of the Hours, saints of the day, and more. Super easy to use, works offline, and really helps me stay grounded in prayer. Totally worth it!
Very useful if I don't have the breviary with me. I also particularly appreciate: 1. being able to put two languages beside each other e.g. Latin and English, and 2. being able to see the Gospel reading for Mass in Greek, and 3. there is a setting to use the calendar of my order.
I love Universalis. Having so much right at my fingers is so useful. The About Today page is a great resource, very short and pithy explanations about the saints, as well as good little excerpts about other things. I dip in and out of different Hours for my personal prayer. My wife and I say Compline together before bed, and even little features such as zooming to make text bigger is useful when settling down to sleep and not wanting to wear glasses!
This app was not working for a while, or so I thought. I had the cell phone navigation bar hidden, and it was interfering with getting the drop-down menu. I fixed that. I'm so glad I have full use of this app again. It has become a stable in my prayer life. When I couldn't get it to work, I missed following Mass easily. My parish has a Latin Ad Orientem Mass. I find the section where you can have Mass in English and Latin extremely helpful.
An extremely helpful, complete, and user-friendly app for those wanting to pray LoTH. I simply pick a day and hour, choose options like invitatory, and it puts everything up in order to pray through. So much easier than flipping around in a much more expensive book. Also contains extras like daily Mass propers and saints of the day. All in-app, does NOT take you to third party websites I could find for free on my own. Only thing missing is musical notation for the hymns. Overall excellent.
Terrific app! Love the format, custom notifications, and options. One bug I've noticed is that every Hour after the first one you pray, will start on the last page. It seems like a feature to "pick up" where you left off if you close and reopen the app, but it applies it to all prayers. So when I close the app on the last page of morning prayer, it will open mid morning prayer on the last, and so on. Otherwise keep up the great work and God bless!
