Pretty good. We used to receive the emails but they stopped coming. (P.O. said to check spam folder - it was not there.) That having been said, at least we have a way to check on our mail. Now if they would just train their people we all would have a great experience. 9/22/2025 most problems seemed to be gone and app is functioning well. still not completely accurate when it comes to what will actually be delivered but that may not be the app's fault. very helpful, though.
Reviews for USPS MOBILE®
← Back to USPS MOBILE®The app is not consistent or accurate regarding whats being delivered. They recently made a change so that you cannot report mail not received by checking a box below the scanned mail piece. Its OK but not great. They also ask if you contacted your local post office, which you cannot get directly through via phone, their mailbox is always full. The scanning process often duplicates mail, or mail doesnt get scanned at all. chat is never available.
I use this app multiple times daily. The recent update has made it very difficult to perform tasks I used to perform. As I temporarily leave the app to obtain tracking numbers from my email, it now logs me out multiple times, forcing me to log back in. That has never happened until recently. It used to leave me logged in no matter how many times I changed screens. I'm hoping this is a minor bug and be fixed with another update soon.
Why do I need to perform additional security checks each and every time I check for mail? I've been using this app for years! And now, the past few months, they no longer believe it's me? It has become annoying to have the additional steps. On top of that, the mail indicated for that day is no longer a guarantee for that day... 24,48, even 72 hours from the time of photo shown on app according to USPS locals. Remain calm. Junk mail is still delivered on your designated day, without delay.
app says I have mail delivered that doesnt show for up to 3 days. the package delivery tracking is even worse, or perhaps the carriers are. sometimes going from Seattle to alaska takes 2 days, sometimes 3 weeks, for small packages weighing less than half a pound. according to the app, packages also bounce around a lot between cities before actually heading up here. app isn't reliable at all anymore
Never improves. Usually gets worse. Works only sometimes. Will sometimes just freeze or otherwise stop accepting new tracking numbers and such. These days you cannot tell if that is due to budget cuts, DeJoy's ties to XPO Logistics, or a glitch in the app however. End result is I have had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times and at best it is still only marginal some days. Stinks.
The tracking feature does not work, rendering the USPS app useless. You can only enter 1 package at a time in the app only to get "status not available" for every entry. You can enter multiple tracking numbers on the website. Packages that show estimated delivery date and tracking history on the web site show as "status not available" on the mobile app for the same package/tracking number. This app has only 1 useful feature, you can easily uninstall it & free up wasted storage space.
Works well when it's able to connect with the USPS servers. Has many good features such as tracking packages, requesting pickups, buying stamps, etc. The only major issue I found was when entering a tracing number for a package. It takes two to three times to enter the numbers before it takes effect and also sometimes you have to exit the app, then check under the tracking tab to see the information of that package.
The app used to be less difficult to login to. For months it has flashed on and off the screen several times then makes me go through a few steps to get logged in. I don't want anything to do with third party authentication as it already takes much too long to get in without it! It's ridiculous to have to open a text or email to copy a code just to see what's in the mail. This flashing screen issue really needs to be corrected!
The app used to work fairly well. I could see images for the most part what letter mail was arriving each day, and I was able to track larger packages. The app has long promised images of packages, but that has never happened. The app no longer allows me access to my daily incoming letter mail. It won't allow to log in. I have reset my password, deleted the app, reloaded the app, I have started a new account and still the letter feature isn't working.
The app is extremely helpful you can track your packages both incoming & outgoing. You can see what pieces of mail you've got coming as well as what you have received in the past week. Those are just the features that I primarily use, there's a whole lot more on this app. It was buggy when I first downloaded it over a year ago. But now, I don't have a single problem with it. It's super smooth, & loads fast, it's just a great addition to your app collection!
Unfortunately, this app is not that great. Very often it glitches, and when I put my tracking number in there is no way to search for It. I'll go to the tracking menu or just put it into the bar in the main menu and either way it will not track. Also, you cannot see a complete history of all packages you've tracked which should be easy to do in the app. Overall, not nearly as smooth of an experience as the UPS app.
Very ineffective app. I'm surprised, but not really. Some of the initial issues that persist, I thought may have been related to my choice of browser preferences (Chrome). So I then switched over to the more reliable Firefox, and then downloaded the USPS app from the Play store, where I was met with uncertainty. The app switched me back to using desktop version.🙄😠 All this, and I was met with repeated statements that kept notifying that I was being signed out of my account.
Downloaded this app to have a better interface with USPS Informed Delivery (I get an email everyday, but thought it'd be nice to be able to check it on the app instead of logging in to the website). For the past two days of trying to access informed delivery (first two days of app use) I've been receiving this error message: "Authentication Failed An unexpected internal system exception has occurred. Please try again later." Waiting on a fix for this so I can use the app.
hold mail doesn't work. firstly I had an old version, it didn't work anymore. I looked for an update and found out there's a whole nother app. I installed it, and it's doing the same thing. What the issue is, that it won't keep the calendar up long enough to pick dates for hold mail function. I send a glitch report in the app. Please fix it.
This app used to be helpful. It was simple to use and always pretty accurate. I don't know if it's because of some bug or they just haven't updated it in a while, but the app barely works at all now. If I try to track a package it just gives me a white screen until 3 minutes later it throws an error message. I hope they can fix the app because it really is convenient, but right now it's not even worth downloading.
The new app is horrible. Must enter both username and password every single time, AND wait for a multifactor authentication code. Again, this is every single time that I want to check Informed Delivery. Why can't my account stay logged in for 7 days or 30 days before I have to reverify? No option for biometric login or even a simple PIN. Good job on making something simple and useful into a complicated mess. Oh, and selecting Informed Delivery in the app opens a freakin browser window!
Weird app. Informed Delivery button brings me to the website. Where I have to login and always says I removed the packages from my dashboard. Tracking section only let's me track one package at a time. Sometimes, nothing will happen when I copy and paste a number. Throw up some error messages at least. Let me know something is happening. Seems like it's not finished yet. Hoping for better.
For my purposes, all of which are domestic mail- and package-related, this app tracks what I send and what others ship to me, quite well, with only a few exceptions. The few exceptions are likely related to errors by the USPS, not the app. It also lets me arrange for my mail to be held when I'm out of town for an extended period. It's VERY useful!
Very slow and doesn't propagate all your tracking right away, and some features like "informed delivery" still takes you to web browser. It doesn't stay within the app so you can make more specific changes like to account info, or to specific tracking number, or even file a dispute or make a complaint about a courier not following delivery instructions like you can with Amazon. Those changes can only be done via web version which negates the whole purpose of even using this app. Do better!
