It would be GREAT if the app was actually functional, most of the time. I've been using it for 4 years and I'm really tired of the endless glitches, bugs, servers crashing, and honestly- STUPID features that shouldn't exist. I don't even have full access to edit certain appointments on my OWN CALENDAR, and it's absolutely infuriating. And customer service could care less. I used to love how integrated & easy Vagaro was for me & my clients, but maybe now it's time to change platforms.

The swiping is OUT OF CONTROL and the whole thing is so hard to read. You can not even tell the different colors to indicate if an appointment is accepted or not, etc. PLEASE CHANGE IT ALL or give us the option to. My staff and I can not continue this way.
They will not provide access to reports when the location is deactivated. Beware their "prepaid service" and no contract is not actual. they will attempt to bill you if you decide to cancel. Had constant issues with their card readers. They disconnected and it was always an issue to reconnect. Leaving Vagaro for good, very poor customer service, unwilling to resolve issues.
Works great for booking clients and I love that it sends confirmation texts automatically 48 hours in advance. Update: 10/2020 Recently it has been loading up my coworkers schedule instead of mine and defaulting back to her, which is annoying when I'm trying to efficiently check out my clients. Ugh. Updating again. With the most recent update I can't get my schedule to load at all. It keeps saying "something went wrong"
Edit: Customer service over the phone is really bad. The support team members give contradicting information and the company will never give you any kind of refund for services not used. Use Square, it's free. So far Great! Client Database, Online Booking, mini website with booking options, confirmation texts, built-in marketing strategies and I can even add on payment processing!! Price can't be beat, for all that! Fingers crossed its not too good to be true!
I signed up, mainly for Yoga services, for my business. It wouldn't let people book online, unless I ordered a credit card reader (which I didn't want or need, as I had my own reader with another issuer). When my business closed, I was unable to cancel the account before the next month was charged, or they were going to charge a $100 early termination fee...and it was expiring a day after the new month was supposed to be charged. Crazy how that works. Wouldn't refund me for the month...
This app is very helpful for me! I'm a 15 yr stylist and have always used a physical calendar book. I would get tons of call on my off days for appts and often forget to call back or text back. I lost a few clients that way. This app really helps with taking all the weight off of me to letting them book for themselves the services they want. It allows me to be more organized. Annnnddddd I dont have to carry that book around anymore!!!!!!!
When the app works, it's great. But I've had to uninstall, add the app again, log in AGAIN then aftermany attempts it says I have the wrong information. It's been very frustrating having to do this in just a few months. My log in information never changed yet it will say I have the wrong password. And the only way to get around this : create a new password by selecting "forgot password" option every time. Truly beyond frustrating and very inconvenient. Especially when it logs me out randomly.
This company bought put schedulicity so we did not have a choice in the software switch. There are way to many bells and whistles. the payment software on the tablet glitches constantly. and you must use the tablet versus checking them out on the same computer software to avoid incuring higher cc processing fees. on top of all that the whole system is incredibly unintuitive. Terrible. Don't use at all cost.
HATE IT! Not easy to use. It displays a whole week on a little cell phones and you're at work busy is very hard to see. I was forced into this from schedulicity and scheduleicities display was 3 days at a time. You could easily see the pages when you're in somebody's hair working and you have to give an appointment to another client. I don't know if you understand this but showing a week at a time on a little cell phone is ridiculous. I know you can put in one day but I need to see the days ahea
Awful!! After using Schedulicity for years,which was incredibly user friendly., this is terrible.Trying to toggle thru the calendar to rebook is a pain, I don't like the color coding of the calendar.. it's all brown. Ican't save a clients cc without entering an address which is already in their profile. Shouldn't have to reenter at checkout. My clients can't figure it out on their end either. There's no revenue report either where I can see my estimated revenue for the day/ week/ month.
They try to push other paid features through by constantly popping up ads. I don't accept credit cards, and I'm getting ads for card processing through them every time that I open the app. I contacted them and got a response four days later that the ads can not be disabled. I'm already paying a subscription fee, I shouldn't have to see the stupid ads a few times and day.
I have been using this app for a few months so far, and I love it. They have all the add-on features you need to run your business smoothly, and it's affordable. Booking is easy and convenient. I get notifications when my clients book, cancel, or reschedule appointments. Vagaro has definitely made it so easy to run my business and control my booking schedule.
It needs the expense tracking option that my other programs have had, but other than that I love most aspects of this app. I did have to change the way I do my forms. Apparently you can't have a customer sign the form and have to sign it yourself once they send it back. Almost a year later and my review is still accurate. Of course the form issue may have been the phone I had.
Vagaro bought out schedulicity which was a perfectly simple app. This has way too many bells and whistles and probably over half of the stuff we will never use. When a whole salon of grown women have to take amounts of time away from other things to figure out how to schedule a client is ridiculous. I primarily use my phone but half the things I need I have to use on the tablet. Would never recommend and I am ready to go back to a paper book again.
My account was recently merged with my former scheduling app. without any choice. I do not like how small the font is. I do not like all the options that could result in more charges. I do not like how narrow the daily columns are. That, and small font makes it difficult to read. I hope my clients are able to navigate so I don't lose clients or income. This merge occurred without sufficient warning. I had just ordered business cards with now incorrect information.
I do not like this program. Had no choice when it came to this switch. Schedulicity was so much better and user friendly. My biggest issue is that since Vagaro taken over I have no control of my clients personal info. Likely they had a house number as a primary I can't change it to a cell number. So now they dont get text confirmation. I have clients that are not text savvy. So no I can't explain to them how to fix it on their end. waste of time app!
Love the pro side of this booking platform. Makes it easy for clients to book themselves. The card reader is the only issue I have found. I have the small portable one, and it has trouble connecting to bluetooth, it takes a few 'try agains' or I often have to pair it every time. There are no other issues that I have personally. The customer service is good when I had called.
I've been having issues every since I started using it. I literally went with this app so that I wouldn't miss clients while in session. instead im still missing potential clients who try to sign up and have issues, or fill out paperwork just for it not to go through. then when I tried to cancel they basically tell me I have to have it for stleast a year which is not what was said to me at all. ive even offered sending back the CC reader that I dont use.also hard to get in contact with company.
This company is a scam. Do not go with them as a booking platform!! They make it impossible to cancel your account. They are also incredibly hard to get ahold of for support. I had issues with getting paid through them twice, the second time took almost two months for me to get my money from sessions I had charged clients for. Clients have a hard time booking through them, they get kicked out of the platform multiple times. Steer clear if you value your time, money, and clients!
