The app could use of an option to keep the phone awake. Losing quality/buffering when the apps gets in the background or phone gets into idle/sleep. Other than that very good, does what it's meant to do!
Reviews for VBAN Receptor
← Back to VBAN ReceptorStill perfectly useless on flagships - Samsung Galaxy S9+, S20 Ultra Exynos (Android 8,9,10,11). Audio stops around 4m45s screen of even when VBAN is on "Do not put to sleep" battery list. For purchased software this is not acceptable. Worse audio glitching on Oreo, Pie, 10. Fails regularly when activating Bluetooth with Galaxy Buds Plus and doesn't hand-off gracefully from internal speaker requiring a force close every time to resolve audio. Glitches and stutters during app focus changes. 👎🏼
Exactly what I wanted, turning my phone into a remote speaker for my VBAN on my stream PC. Only one small request if you ever dust this app a new version. The new floating window android api, or a notification slot ⏯️ like audio/video apps have would be really convenient
Works great, I can finally monitor audio and also stream music from my computer without having to put my local library in my phone. Though the UI on my phone looks cramped with the 18:9 resolution my phone has. I'm using a Sony XZ2, so I hope this bug could be fixed.
Great app. Only downside was that audio stream keeps stopping on two of my android phones. I did some extended experiments, and found out that when the phones are plugged in, the audio doesn't stop! Keep up the great job.
Thanks for amazing software. Two issues: 1.) Audio stops after 5 minutes of screen off when phone goes to deep sleep. There is some mechanism audio apps on Android must register to be able to keep audio working with screen off. 2.) in the some cases of 1.) the app instance is just gone. So waking the phone does nothing. The app ist just gone and must be restarted.
Seems to have fixed most 'sleep' and disconnect issues on multiple flagship devices. Still the occasional glitch or two on initial connections and focus changes, bit this seems to settle within seconds and continue to work properly now. Need to perform extended tests, but it's now very useful.
Im on a S23 now, works great. Changed phone to S20 phone, works better now * New issue started on the Feb 16th update 2022. The audio crackles when being played through Bluetooth speakers. Audio is ok when played through Samsung S8 mono speaker. I wish I could revert the latest update. Older versions of the app didn't have this issue. Issue worse than ever.
This app worked great with the basic Voice Meeter program. I absolutely love it. I have recently upgraded to VoiceMeeter Banana and seems no matter what network, address or port the receptor app won't acknowledge the VoiceMeeter program. If you have any questions feel free to contact me for more details. Thank you.
Well it was worth paying for premium. Sound is clear an responsive. Only downside ither your screan neads to be on or your phone neads to be pluged to power (that might be problem with my phone setings). Wuld love if bevs implement streaming of sound too. So I can stream music from may phone to my pc while in game or if I culd sream mobile mic to pc.
While app after setting it up does work... But... On OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, the app forces to output sound thru speakers, rather than headphones attached via USB cable Said headphones work fine with all the other audio sources like baresip or from browser. Ps. A bug that I encountered on other of my devices. When opening app via banner in notifications area while it's working causes it to create new instance of itself, making port 6980 still busy and causing ear bleeding noise
For those having problems: try reinstalling the app. I've found that it stops working after moving onto a new network, and reinstalling fixes it. Also, the app crashes or hangs sometimes when using a usb-c DAC, but replugging the DAC if it hangs, and restarting the app if it crashes, work.
when it works it works great, but whenever I turn my phone's screen back on, the audio stream stumbles and lags for a few seconds. I bought the pro version in hopes of it helping, but it's still a problem here. I've tried it with different network speed options in both apps with nothing helping
Works out well! I use this to hear my PC audio using my phone. My only problem is, after a couple of minutes while I'm on another app, the VBAN just turns off from my phone, so I had to open VBAN Receptor again. I was wondering if it's possible to make something similar like a bubble icon that can just float on your screen just like messanger's bubble icon, so this app can be active no matter what application i'm on
Everything's great except for when I lock my phone; It starts getting underrun/corrupted, I don't know which one 'cos I can't see but it gets choppy. Now, I just leave the screen on but it automatically locks after 10 mins and have to tap it everytime so it doesn't turn off. (Changing buffering doesn't do anything and phone doesn't let me turn off auto-lock completely)
I have to play around with the settings to get a clear sound and I'm not sure why one works when the other doesn't. I also notice a slight delay, but that's to be expected and it's not bothersome (just dont try gaming with this). Once it's set up right, it works well even on my bad wifi. Bluetooth headphones do appear to cause issues, but that could just be interfering with the wifi. When paused, it also often unpauses on its own.
please fix the speaker bug. I can't use my headphones it only uses the speakers
Errors. Underrun, Missing and Disorder. constant intermittent cutting. phone is a pixel 6, Android 16 (Issue occurring since Android 12). I've bought VM Potato, VAC A+B and C+D packs. Kind of upsetting this app is one of my favorite features of the programs.
Software works great, very thankful for this! For some reason, though, it drains my battery like crazy. If I turn on battery restriction, the app won't play audio when the software loses focus so I leave battery restriction disabled. If I close the software, it'll still drain the battery while the audio seems to stop indicating the software has closed. Not sure what to do, it takes up all my battery. I would get like 4 or 5 days on a charge, now I barely get one.
In the past it seemed like it would run in to errors every 30 min. However recently, I put the app in that mode where it is kept open turn quick launching, opened it, then locked my phone. I left it running for 6hrs and it only used 20% battery. When I woke my computer up (running VBAN) and played audio it worked great! Thank you for your continued improvement and support with the app!
