Works great though have an issue where mic will turn off after some time with the app in the background
Reviews for VBAN Talkie
← Back to VBAN TalkieAmazing app, very easy to setup in Voicemeeter. Purchased pro version to support developer.
Idk.... I'm not a total idiot with the VBAN setup.... or maybe I am? But I can't get this to connect and work the way I would like. Yes it connects with mobile.... but no walkie. Kinda made me sad honestly.
the app only outputs/inputs one channel. not sure how to get it to do anymore than one. receptor is capable of multiple channels, but this app doesn't seem to be capable of that
Wonderful! Sadly i can't use my Samsung/AKG USB-C InEar Headset (Microphone won't get detected) Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. 5 Stars when this is fixed, keep up the good work !
It does what it says. It works as a receptor as well. Would be 5 stars if the mic on Bluetooth headphones worked with it.
Good app but not ready. Bluetooth microphone not working, incoming audio stop frequently and require close and re-open the app. Works like beta but it is a paid app.
Its pretty good, but i wish there was some settings. Id love to see a setting to Default the microphone to be Muted. that is really my one complaint. i is very simple and functional
app sucks your battery when you are not even using it. It takes like 20-50% of my total battery... it also doesn't work with Bluetooth microphone and Bluetooth headphones same time
Works like magic! I use VBAN on my PCs to stream microphones from one PC to the other. Why? Central gaming PC with Parsec. This app allowed me to go one step further and stream my cell phone's Bluetooth headset to my gaming PC over my network. Sounds great. Gain and fade controls work very well! Important notes: 1. IP address matters in your VBAN settings on the receiver! (0.0.0.0 etc does NOT work). 2. Stream name matters! I had to change "Stream 2" to "Talkie" in my incoming VBAN setting
1) maybe that's my fault but I'm unable to use it cause the quality is so bad, probably a connectivity issue 2) it is so battery draining, even if the app is off that i can't keep it install, pausing the app is fine, but after few hours(? An Android thing i guess) it unpaused and drain my battery so fast
I love it but it will never be complete until my version of android is available for the macro buttons app as well for the way I need to use it. Says that it was made on an older version of android, it was last updated 2019. I really hope you fix that because i need the macro buttons on the phone. You should be able to mute any incoming vban streams from the app so that you can avoid feedback if you decide to use Talkie function w/o headphones while music is playing. Thts why I need macro buttns
It's a real shame. I'm a huge fan of the mixers (banana, potato, etc), but this vban tech just drops out all the time. I've tried 3 WiFi networks and 3 different mobiles and computers. It just drops too much to make it of practical use.
Used this to route phone microphone to PC over wifi with the app and associated PC software. Audio quality was better than expected. Use case was to use a phone as a microphone in combo with a computer and headphones that did not have a mic. No dropouts in a 4 hour gaming session. Worked as I had hoped and I will be using this setup again in the future.
The software is too unstable. Every time I open the application, I had to clear its data, forcing me to set it up again and again. I had to press the back button and allow it to gracefully exit to avoid the said problem. The audio quality is okay (I'm not yet sure if the issue is with my settings, even if I've set it to stereo PCM 16-bit) but it frequently overloads/underruns, resulting in glitchy audio.
Works okay most of the time albeit with some drops here and there, but something about it absolutely shreds my battery. I can easily get through a day with 40-60% left on my Pixel 7 but when I use this app it will usually be dead by 7 pm. Even when it's turned off, if I don't manually close the app in the background my battery is gone. Would love to see this fixed as it's an otherwise useful app, but impractical in this condition.
I was very excited to get this app set up with my PC, but I discovered that there is a big feature missing. I was hoping to be able to use my phone to continue talking on Teams, Zoom, Discord, etc. when I step away from my PC. Unfortunately, the app doesn't recognize any of my Bluetooth headsets as an input device, only as an output, so I'm unable to speak through the app via Bluetooth as I'd hoped.
App is only receiving left channel audio from the PC despite the PC playing stereo audio and VBAN showing that it's streaming two channels. I've tried various settings and no change. Everything else works great however. It's low latency, mic coming into PC from phone sounds clear with very little latency for a wireless solution. Curious if anyone else has had or solved the left channel audio issue. 5 star app otherwise and will update if I can find a fix. EDIT: Still only receiving left channel
Fantastic replacement for the VBAN Receptor, the back button not exiting is a minor inconvenience at best. Has the same latency as my Rode NT-USB, so I'd say it's pretty dang good. A bit steep of a price, but for me it's worth it. (Can't add a response to the Dev below, editing instead) Usually the back button "minimizes* the application when on the main screen. After using it more it doesn't make a difference at all.
For those with issues, see if my workaround works for you! I was having problems with my lav mic plugged in crashing the app. A workaround for me has been to leave mic unplugged, go to menu, then log, then plug in the external mic. I can then go back to the main screen and it works with no further issues! Great work on all of these apps! They are awesome 👌
