Reviews for WatchPAT

Well I was skeptical based on negative reviews, but it all seemed to work well! The finger thingy was tight, but I put it on my little finger and was fine. Monitor blinked and app stayed up all night with plugged in phone and no other phones or gadgets in the room. App confirmed info was sent in the morning. Happy happy!

I had no problems at all. The set up was super easy. I watched the preview. Putting it on was easy yes the finger holder is a little uncomfortable (and it does hurt for about 4 min after you take it off.) I slept well the app was working great I kept my phone on the charger. Woke up ended app after 8 hours of sleep. I would like to have seen the results after or get a email. Overall I'm happy.

Initially had trouble connecting. Tried several times. Changed to my own--Duracell--battery. Still couldn't connect. Then I remembered that Bluetooth detection requires location (because it could be used, in some situations, to determine location, which would be a privacy issue), so I manually enabled location for this app and tried again. On the second attempt, it worked. I gave the app all permissions it asked for, so this seems like an oversight that needs to be corrected by the developers.

Good to see in newer version they dropped the pics & all files access permissions! Before installing the app I saw a warning review by Colin, who alerted that the app asks for full access permissions to all your pic files and all personal files on your phone. Seeing this, since I've got all of those files on my phone's SD card, I simply unmounted my SD storage before installation, HOWEVER after installation I saw that in this newer 3.3.1version of the app it no longer asks for those permissions.

Instructions that came with the device were inaccurate. The instructions said to ensure the Bluetooth connection is active in your phones Bluetooth menu. I couldn't get my phone to connect to the device through its Bluetooth menu. Turns out it was somehow connected anyway. Look for two icons in the app (watch and cloud icons) to have green check marks. If those are present then it's connected even if your phone's Bluetooth menu doesn't show it as connected.

results from using this device may require your Doctor to suspend your driver's licence. 80% of users fail the test!

The watch pad was easy to set up and comfortable to wear.

App stopped working in the middle of the night so I guess I have to do it again.

Quick setup, no manual pairing needed. However, like others' experiences, the app appeared to "reset" and prompted to begin the test. I closed the app, reopened, and was shown that it was still recording. Three suggestions: •DARK. MODE! The all-white background is harsh in the dark. •The statement about the test needing a min. of 6hrs needs to be at the beginning, 1st thing you see (put on the box, too). •Provide email/text confirmation that results were submitted. I had to contact my doctor.

Will not upload data had two sent to me and tried using different phones and still the same result the app is not helpful with this problem, garbage

Well, I had to have a second watch sent out. I ordered through Lofta and they sent out another watch at no charge. In the first test, they only got 20 minutes of 5 and a half hours. the battery died. So I was sent a second test. The second one went better. I used my index finger instead of my pinky finger. got 7 and a half hours of data and they said I needed a cpap. there's no swearing emojis available. Lofta was great with the customer service.

The app gave no issues. My phone is an older pixel 4a and the OS is 13. I used a new aaa battery from the start, new version of the app and the app only needs Bluetooth LE enabled, location and Internet access. it doesn't ask for any other permissions, like browsers, pic etc etc. the app creator I do believe the bugs, issues and not connecting for one reason or another is fixed. In my opinion everything is fixed. But trashing the device, clean and reuse maybe like many other med items.

Device registered the first time, but encountered an "error" and couldn't start the test and told me to restart everything from the beginning. Now it's "device not registered" every time, and I've done everything including uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Can't believe this is supposed to record medical data - it doesn't seem reliable at all.

I'm reviewing the app not complaining about the equipment. The app is pretty straightforward with easy to follow instructions, I allowed permissions for only while the app was in use. About the equipment, if finger piece was too tight, you should not have started the test or you should have tried it on a different finger. Anyone who wants to see a copy of their report should ask their doctor's office for it. That's what I did. The app developers could explain why some permissions are needed.

So yeah, what was on screen? When I woke up, made me think it did not record because it said start recording but I swipe down from the top and click on the open watch pad at the top. Notification, which allowed me to then submit the data. But that is anxiety inducing, because The app that was open on the screen. It looked like it had not recorded all night.

My only criticism and suggestion is to have a prompt telling users to make sure their location is turned on. I kept getting notifications to take out the battery and reinsert it and to make sure the watch was close to the phone when neither of those were the actual problem. The only thing wrong was the location on my phone wasn't turned on.

Piece of garbage app or hardware. Essentially, the app wasn't able to talk to the hardware and gave me a screen that said "User not registered" but it never gave me any screen to input the registration number so how the **** am I supposed to register this ridiculous thing?? I uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, hoping I may have overlooked something but what do they say about doing the same thing multiple times and expecting different results? That's right! Insanity. Just trash!

Even though I had some trouble putting everything on myself, I was able to connect and everthing worked fine. App even said Goodnight. But in the morning when I was going to end recording, app was closed and when I opened the app it was at the start of the study as if I had to start the whole thing again! Then said something about not detecting the device and check battery. I am not a happy camper right now!!

This app requires access to all photos, media, and files on your phone. It's a sleep study device app. That's unnecessary and unacceptable. It should only need access to keep your phone awake, use Bluetooth, transmit data, and write to its own temporary file structure. If you deny access it doesn't gracefully close. It gets stuck in an endless loop until you force close it. The developers of the app do not know what they are doing. I will put it on an old phone not tied to my Google account.

The app crashed overnight, so it didn't send any results to my doctor. When I tried to use it the next night, the app told me that the device had already been used and couldn't be used again. Spoke with my doc's office, who had spoken to their WatchPat sales rep, and learned that once the strip is ripped out of the finger sensor, the device won't ever work again after that night. Now I need 2 kits for 1 test, which is a huge waste of resources.
