There’s also health and fitness tracking – you can see your progress on Heart Points and Steps goals. And you can control your music right from your wrist, which is pretty convenient.

So here's my take on the Wear OS by Google Smartwatch app. I've tested a bunch of smartwatch companion apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The Google Assistant integration is the standout feature - it's super handy to get that kind of proactive help right on your wrist. And the fitness tracking is also well done, and I like being able to control music without pulling out my phone. That said, the initial setup can be a bit tricky, and the app does feel a little bare-bones compared to the Apple Watch ecosystem.
